Marinette's POV
"Ugh." My neck and and left hand were burning. The pain in my head wasn't helping me at all. Hawkmoth wasn't here so I needed to talk to Nooroo. "Nooroo," my voice was so much more hoarse than I thought it would be. "Please Nooroo. Help me. It burns so much." My eyes were soaked with tears. It all burned so much! "NOOROO!"

"Marinette!" Nooroo came up to me and touched me. Somehow the pain subsided, and I was all ok.

"Thank you so much!" I hugged the kawmi and sighed in relief.

"I couldn't let you suffer. I know how much you were hurting. The affects only last an hours or so. I am so sorry that I can't help you permanently." The kawmi snuggled my neck.

"It's ok. I know you can't do that. I'm the one who is sorry. You need to leave here before Hawkmoth comes back. I don't want to risk you getting hurt." I pushed the kawmi away gently. "Can you contact other kawmies? If you can tell Chat Noir that I am living, and that I am in Hawkmoth's lair ok?"

"Of course, Marinette. I'm sorry but I can't tell him where the lair is because I have never been outside of here."

"I understand."

Adrian's POV
"Adrian! I got a message from Hawkmoth's kawmi!" Plagg said.

"What?! Where is she?!" I yelled. I was too impatient! I needed Marinette.

"She is in Hawkmoth's lair. Nooroo, his kawmi, says that she is alive but hurting." Plagg said happily.

"Where is his lair?"

"No one knows sorry. Not even Nooroo! He has never been out of the place. Poor kawmi." Plagg looked so sad. He must have a close relationship with Nooroo.

"Ugh! That stupid lair! Stupid Hawkmoth for that matter. I need to find that lair."

Marinette's POV
It was an hour later and sure enough the burns came back. It was a bit more bearable but it still hurt my skin badly. How can a necklace even do this to me. I can't even break it because I am no longer Ladybug. I had to cry again it hurt too much. Deep, dark thoughts over took me. Why isn't Chat here yet? I thought he loved me. We made a promise. Why am I not Ladybug anymore? I knew I wasn't good enough for them. I want Tikki. I need the miraculous.

"Hello, Shatter! Get me the miraculous, and we can rule the world together. Do you accept?"

"Yes, Hawkmoth." I said evilly. I was consumed in purple, and I got a suit. It was a red dress with black polka dots, and a black underskirt. I had wings on my back. My mask was the same as my Ladybug mask. My hair was down and curled very loosely. "Find Chat, get his miraculous. Get my miraculous." Hawkmoth let me put through the window, and I flew out. This was going to be fun.
"Chat Noir?! Come out!!! Here kitty, kitty." After twenty minutes of calling, Chat finally showed up.

"M' lady?!" He said worriedly.

"Why didn't you save me, Kitty? I thought you loved me." I said sadly. "I need your miraculous. Give me your miraculous!" I screamed.

"I can't give you my miraculous. I do love you. I couldn't find his lair, princess. I'm sorry." He tried to touch my face.

I caught his hand and said,"Prove it to me then. Give me your miraculous."

"I promised you I wouldn't do that. What happened to you, Mari?"

"My name is Shatter now. You let me suffer. I was sitting in a cage. I couldn't get out! My skin was burning because of this necklace! You didn't save me!" I said desperately.

"What necklace? Yours was sitting on your balcony....that necklace! I threw that away. That's where the akuma is." He stated. I was trying to fight the akuma.

"Chat, help." I cried. Then I was overtaken again. Then Ladybug showed up. "You!! Give me your miraculous! You took that from me! Give it back!" I stepped toward her before I fought it again,"Quick rip off the necklace!" I yelled. "Get the akuma." She took hold of the necklace and pulled it. Instead it burned me. "Chat, use Cataclysm!" I screamed.

"Cataclysm!" He touched the necklace, and it disappeared. I transformed out of the suit. I had a lot of burns on my body but I was happy it was all over. "Thank goodness that worked." Chat said relieved.

"Thank you, Chat." I hugged him. He wrapped his arms around. Something over took me again.

"Ahhhh!" I cried. The purple necklace showed up again, and I transformed once again. "No!" I protested. Why can't I fight this? I was way too convinced to go back now. I couldn't control these powers. I flew straight up. Then suddenly I just fell. I deserve this. I transformed again so I couldn't even try to fly out of this. I was falling faster and fast by the second. I braced myself for impact, but instead I felt arms wrap around me. "Chat?" He extended his baton to catch me. I reached up toward in and kissed him hard. "Thank you, my brave knight."

"I will always catch my princess," he said with a smirk. "Are you ok?"

"I have no clue. I don't know why I keep transforming. No!!!" I transformed once again.

"Bring them to me, Shatter," Hawkmoth said.

I grabbed Chat and started flying. "Come on Ladybug!" Chat said. I flew in turned and twirled and flips. I was having so much fun with this. I laughed and giggled at Chat, too. His face was so funny. Ladybug tried to keep up but she wasn't quiet practiced so she tried to keep up. I went to her, put Chat down, detransformed, and showed her a little trick to help her keep up.

"See? Like this. Watch carefully." I aimed for a building pole and latched the yoyo on. I pulled the yoyo string to tell it to lead itself in once more. I held my legs in front of me to swing myself and to ready myself for landing. I landed perfectly and swung back to her. "The trick is to pull the string at the beginning. Keep your arms firm and swing yourself a little bit." I smiled at her. We waited a little so Chat Noir could recharge his miraculous.

"Thank you Marinette!" She tried it out and did it flawlessly.

"You're a fast learner. Great job! Ugh..." I transformed back as the akuma took over once more. I flew away without Chat letting him jump himself with Ladybug. That Ladybug. She will give me back my miraculous. Chat and I are partners, not her and Chat. I thought. No! Stop Marinette. Ladybug is her duty now. Chat is already yours. I stopped flying and just hovered. Fight the akuma was tiring. I couldn't do it. I started flying again leading them closer and closer to Hawkmoth's butterfly lair.

Once we arrived, the hole in his scoping area began opening. I flew Chat in, then Ladybug. I landed next to Hawkmoth. I transformed back, but the necklace was still there. I felt a shove. I fell over back into my previous caged in area. "I did what you wanted!" I protested trying to shake the bars. "Way can't you just let me go?" I started crying out of desperation. I banged on the bars hopelessly. Hawkmoth raised hand out to me, and the necklace started burning my neck again. "No, please! Anything but this!" I grabbed hold of the necklace trying to rip it off. All it did was burn my hands. My neck was already purple from the previous burns.

"Chat! Ladybug!" I yelled. "Whatever you do, don't give Hawkmoth your miraculous. I'm fine. Don't worry about me. Just don't give him the miraculous."

"Shut up, girl," Hawkmoth said. The intensity of the heat increase. I tried my hardest not to cry out in pain. I know what I have to do. I can put the necklace up to the bars and attempt to melt them. I did exactly that. It melt almost instantly, but I couldn't let anyone know. I endured the pain as long as I could.

Ladybug and Chat Noir fought very well against Hawkmoth. I melted another bar to defend myself with. Once it melted, I charged out of the cage. I whacked him on the head causing him to pass out. The necklace stopped burning me. It just dropped off my neck. It melted into the floor and disappeared. "That's odd. We need to leave before he wakes up. Nooroo! Where are you? Come out and escape with us!" Soon enough the purple kawmi came out and joined us. "Let's go! Your finally free Nooroo! Come with us!" I said.

"Thank you, Marinette!!!" The kawmi hugged my face. We left the lair and went back to my house. My room was exactly how it was before. I ran downstairs hugging my mama and papa. We were all in tears, and they were very worried about my purple burns. I assured them that I was ok. They thanked Chat with a hug. Ladybug left because she was busy. Nooroo was going to live with me now. I had to protect him from Hawkmoth. He was certainly mad and was going to hunt me down again. Now that he can't transform, we should have hindered him for hurting anymore people. All was okay once again but I couldn't help but think that something was wrong.

A/N: So sorry this came out super late. I had no wifi half the day. My phone was dead, and when both those problems were fixed I had to finish writing this chapter. I did post it on time to my promise one chapter a day. Thanks for supporting me! This story already has almost 200 views!!! That is so amazing.
