Let Me Know | BTS
You took away my stars at night, my sun at day, leaving me with the darkness of a single cold cloud

A/N:- Hey there, just a quick interruption.
If you wanna hate on Minhee and let it out in the comments, you might as well not comment at all. I literally try to be the sweetest person when replying to y'all but the hate she receives just breaks my heart. Instead, try to empathize with her. Thanks!

"Why...?" My eyes brimmed with the emotions I couldn't convey through words. I wished to continue my sentence and add more harsh questions but her health conditions held me back.

"Are you crying— what the hell? Oi, ninny!" She tried to pull my hands away and reveal my flushed face. "If you're crying already then you might rip your hair out by the end of this story..."

"You're such a... bitch. Don't call me ninny." The curse word made her laugh and wink at my sight. "Could this be any more sad? Like, what can hurt me more than knowing that my wife aborted my baby without my knowledge...?" I didn't intend to sound mean but I wasn't sure of what my broken heart did to my tone.

"Chill, Tae." Minhee pat my shoulder lightly and laughed similar to the way she would as a kid after defeating me in some game. I wished I could confront her again for her fake and empty laughter but it made sense when she revealed the plot twist. "It wasn't even your baby."

The only stationary thought in my clustered mind was 'She cheated on me? She cheated on me...' I couldn't look in her eyes and think about forgiving her. "Does this look like a big joke to you?" I sensed a storm brewing in the pit of my stomach, it was a sickening feeling. I wanted to stay strong but I thought I would soon throw up in some corner.

"It doesn't but I do wish it was." A cold expression laced her voice. It was no longer funny to her, in fact, it never was funny in the first place. "Do you ever sit alone and think over your past. That period where you got Sora pregnant and then still proposed to me?"

"I already apologized for it, what else do you want me to do?" I sharply hissed at her words and stood up abruptly. I wanted to run away, again.

She rolled her eyes curtly and scoffed. "Your sexual ways of apologizing can't make anything right." I purposely avoided eye contact when she acknowledged my apology. "You couldn't do anything about it so I found out a way myself. I did what I thought was correct." I wished she could read my mind and stop speaking but even if she saw the signs, she was determined to ignore them.

"And seeing someone else was correct to you?" No matter how hard I tried to look in her eyes and believe the truth, I always failed. With my head held low in despair, I settled down on the edge of her bed. "Who was it...?"

"You never really talked about your relationships so I thought it was necessary to have an idea about you and Sora before looking for a lawyer and filing a divorce against you. Your friends would have known better about Sora. That was the time I turned to..." She lifted her hands to support her head while she tossed around on the bed and tried to look out of the window in distance. "Park Jimin."

I laughed at myself for thinking she forgave me and doesn't care about that issue anymore while she was secretly meeting other people to know more about it. "How did your 'talk sessions' with Jimin go?" I quoted the words with air quotation marks.

"Depressing, I guess?" She rubbed her eyes before looking up at the ceiling. Her voice dropped an octave lower when she continued. "Turns out, it was all my fault. I wish my lovestruck head knew what you meant by 'gifting yourself', that you weren't proposing to me as a lover but rather offering to be my slave for a week as a birthday present from my best friend. One misunderstanding cost Taehee two years in an orphanage and Sora a broken heart without a reason. Still, this would've never happened if you struggled to correct me but you didn't because—"

I interrupted her before she could have the wrong idea of my intentions. "Because—"

"Kim Taehyung swore to never break a girl's heart, because his childhood best friend came before his girlfriend, because that misconception made that day the best day of my life and you didn't want to ruin my happiness." She stated the correct reasons and I wished she could get carried away by them. Anyone would have felt better about being someone's priority but not when that someone sacrificed their child and girlfriend for them.

I shifted in my chair placed beside her bed. It was true that I didn't have any such feelings for Minhee initially, but when she started picturing 'us' together, I made myself believe that Minhee was the only one I ever loved.

"You know what? I thought I was the one responsible for all this. I couldn't stop blaming myself." With tears threatening to expose her vulnerability, she managed to let out at the lowest volume, "I felt like a sinner without even knowing how to define the sin I committed."

She still pretended to strongly fight her tears, trying to act stone-cold, something she could never be to me. I couldn't express my thought in a sentence so I rather stayed empathetically silent.

"So I planned all of this. Getting pregnant by him, then having an abortion, not taking my medicines properly and accordingly, I ended up in a hospital room. I was just one step away from success. That step being my death." She said haughtily, flipping her hair. "Just to make you feel as miserable as I did."

Nothing flashed before my eyes and I thought I could hide myself behind some curtain to disappear but I knew it was too late. When her words rang in my head, all I could say was: "Fair enough." I moved closer to her but couldn't get myself to touch her. "Jimin was quite cute as a kid, his babies would have surely inherited those cute genes... If it was a girl, we would have named her Minji." It's funny how for the past two weeks I kept on visualizing our baby but now I was imagining their baby.

"Namhee would sound better." She slightly sit up to watch my reaction but much to her disappointment, I didn't even raise a brow at her words. My mental deliberations were enough to sink me.

It was Namjoon's baby. She had 'it' with Namjoon.

"How...?" I knew that at this point, it was better to be curious than disappointed, at least I will get to know more about her part of the story that way.

"I think cuteness can help you through your childhood but for the long term, sexy genes are required and Namjoon had those." She seemed to put a lot of thought before answering with a fake reason. Somehow, I felt that I knew why Namjoon was involved in place of Jimin.

"Why would you care about that, huh? You had to kill the baby anyways." I shifted my hand closer to her, careful as to not disturb the IV drip attached to her flesh. "When everything was perfectly in order, why would you tell me about your plan? You had me believing it was my baby and I was the reason why you're here."

"Because I'm a loser?" She no longer tried to contain her tears. Bringing my hand closer to her face, she cried out every ounce guilt. Seeing her breaking down in front of my eyes, I couldn't stay still either. I embraced her petite figure delicately and let our emotions flow throw the same medium. "I wanted to leave you here with the guilt of killing me but my love for you came in the way. I hated you so much but I hated myself more for knowing I could never hate you. I shouldn't have loved you singularly..."

"I don't wanna let go..." Quite in cooperation with my words were our actions. Our hands tightly wrapped around each other because we knew parting was inevitable. "...even though I deserve it."

Present Day...

Y/N's PoV

"And the next morning, Jungkook got a call from the hospital to let us know that... Minhee... didn't make it." Taehyung was the center of attention while he narrated the last part of his story. Even though the ending was known to us, Jungkook and I still used up all the tissues. Taehyung took out his phone and scrolled through the gallery. "These are some pictures we took that day. Apparently, Minhee thought a dying person should not cry too much."

After hearing his story, I could look through their fake smiles in the pictures and the pain they hid behind them. "If you knew about it then why didn't you stop me when I was blaming you that night?" Jungkook zoomed in at a certain picture in which Minhee and Taehyung pulled up a funny face.

"Because I promised her that I won't tell anyone." Coincidentally, the screen flashed a picture of them sitting on the bed with their pinkies intertwined but I couldn't tell if they were just posing for the camera or this was the time when Minhee actually made Taehyung promise. "And technically, I thought you knew nothing either."

"It was a part of the revenge, to make you feel worse even after she was gone." Jungkook shamefully looked down at the floor after revealing his role in the plan. "From what I knew, she wasn't supposed to die..."

"Jimin," I caused everyone to pause when I took his name. "He just revealed the truth she deserved to know. Why would you hate him so much?"

"Because..." Taehyung traced the trail of goosebumps formed on his arms before continuing. "My Minhee could never plan that out on her own. She hated herself after knowing the truth but then the someone she met made her see the reasons why she could hate me instead. She was used to get back on me and the user was cruel enough to sacrifice her. See why I hate him?"

"J-Jimin knew I-I was not M-Minhee?" I stammered while my mind did the work of flashing vivid images of the times when Jimin tried to seduce me. "Then what were all those flirtatious talks about...?"

"He was just messing with you or trying to make you believe that my wife was a cheater." I tensed at the mention of the word 'cheater'. Taehyung noticed me shift uncomfortably which made him smile knowingly at me. "You did fall for that trap, didn't ya?"

"Trust me, Tae, I never thought you had a brain too." Jungkook whistled to cheer Taehyung while he just shied away. "If you're the actual Mr-Know-it-all then how would you explain Namjoon's involvement instead of initial plan-maker, Jimin?"

"I can be wrong here but as per my understanding," We were already so whipped for Taehyung's intelligence that we could blindly trust whatever he would have said. "All the blame would go to Namjoon for getting Minhee pregnant while Jimin would be safe with a spotless reputation."

"You're so smart..." I gaped at him in awe while the compliments made him turn red. "You are such a fine actor, I would have never doubted you if Jimin didn't act so obvious..."

"Uh... that could be because I actually blamed myself for Minhee's death." Taehyung stood up to get a water bottle for himself. After taking steady sips, he kept the bottle down on the coffee table ahead of us. "If I would have cleared the misunderstandings regarding the 'gifting myself' thing then this all could've been avoided... But then imagine how awkward it would've gotten between Minhee and I."

"You were wrong yet so right..." I wrapped my fingers around the water bottle and brought it closer to my mouth but stopped to present my thoughts. "Honestly, meeting Jimin was the worst decision she made..." I filled my mouth with a lot of water and gulped it down slowly afterwards.

"I have something to say too..." Jungkook announced being completely opposite of cheerful. I was still chugging the liquid down when he said, "I suggested her to meet Jimin."

And I spat everything at him.

Quite deserving though.

A/N:- So readers,
How are we feeling right now? Well, I remember getting comments of people predicting it to be Jimin's child but was it? Hell no! Hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I did while writing and don't remove this book from your library just yet. There are few more surprises and also an explanation left to it. Stay healthy and happy!

Okay, guys, I read a lot of old comments and many readers (maybe you all too) think Minhee was stupid. Surely Minhee took a big step which was mindless but here's a lil personal story. In 2020, around my birthday, I broke off with my best friend. For days and days I couldn't stop blaming myself and it drained me to the extent that I was suicidal. The thing is, sometimes you get involved in shit so much that you feel like ending yourself for someone else. I now know that it really wasn't worth it but 6 months ago, all I would do 24/7 is bawling my eyes out (tho I think she was/is a bitch). Crying over break ups always sounded cringey to me but now that I went through one, I realize that some situations are more complicated than the way we perceive it, breakups are one of those cases. Please stop hating on Minhee because if we be practical, betrayal from your bestfriend/husband would hurt.

Oof, my ted talks. Lol bye!
