I sprinted over to Night were he lay motionless on the cave floor. He was barely breathing but I could still see the quick, shallow breaths he was taking but besides that I would have thought he was dead. My Father ran up next to me and said,"Go get a Healer, QUICK!" I ran as fast as I could to the healers den and spotted Starlight in the herb store next to it. She looked up at me, worried," What's wrong, Eclip-" I cut her off and said," Night. He's dying!" She ran in front of me and up the spiral rock. I followed quickly behind.

We stood back and waited for an explanation to why Night was hurt. For what felt like years, she finally got done and told us if he was going to be okay. "He's in critical condition. All we can do is hope he gets better."she looked at him sad. "What happened to him?" I asked. "He has cuts all over his body, including a death blow to his stomach and throat. If he makes it, it will be a miracle," she said faintly. "He needs his rest so don't pester him," she turned and walked out, leaving me, Father, Mother, and Night, who was laying deathly still in his nest.

I padded to him and laid down beside him. His steady and light breathing was faint. I felt tears soak my pelt as I watched him lay there. He opened one eye. I felt my spirits rise, but then it closed and he huffed. I cocked my eye in amusement. He still had his eyes closed and said," Why am I in here? And why are you laying so close to me?" I smiled at him and said," You came in and was bleeding really bad. You fainted and we were scared. We kept you in here because we didn't want to hurt you anymore than you are." He looked at me, with gratefulness in his eyes," Why would you do that for me? I'm from a different pack." I nodded and said," You're still a wolf that doesn't deserve to die yet." He closed his eyes back up and yawned. "My body hurts," he cried.

I got up shaking dirt from my pelt and said," Let me get you some herbs for that." He nodded and I got some herbs for him. He lapped them up gratefully and said," Look, I know this is sudden but..." I watched him scared of what he might say."...I think I might have a crush on you, Eclipse. Do you like me back?" He looked at me hopefully and I sighed. "Night, you're just a pup but, if I don't have a mate by the time you're grown I will be your mate." His eyes lightened up and I smiled. "I gotta go call if you need anything," I said. "I love you, Eclipse,"he said. I just turned and walked out.

Twilight was right outside the cave. "You agreed to be his mate? I thought you liked me!" He said. I looked at him shocked. "I guess I like you. But the chances I don't have a mate by then are low," I said. He looked at me," I like you. Can we be mates?" I nodded and he licked my cheek. I blushed and felt my fur turn hot. What was I going to tell Night about this? Will he hurt Twilight? Twilight twined his tail with mine and I felt my fur turn even hotter. He lapped at my cheek and finally I said," What do you think Night will do when he finds out?" He looked at me. "Lets not think about him right now. Right now we only think about you and me. The future. Pups and training secessions together. We can grow old together too," he sighed in happiness.

We ran through the forest together until we stopped and a pack of Star Pack wolves on our territory. On jumped on Twilight and I howled for help. Why is this such a bad day
