I found myself pinned to the ground by a husky Dark Pack Wolf. His eyes glowed with fury. He was a black and gray streaked male with emerald eyes.

I tried to wiggle free like I did when I was playing with Twilight but this one was too strong. He growled and snarled," Where's Night, huh? Where'd you take my pup?" I had no idea what he was talking about. I showed my teeth and said," I don't know what you're talking about. So why don't you let me go and shut you're trap!"

I dragged my claws down both of his legs and he jumped off. I ran in the direction of a clearing and found Twilight laying still. I ran over to him. He had a scratch on his chest oozing blood. I sat down next to him and he raised his head.

"Get me a leaf and some spider web. I heard some healers talking about how that will stop bleeding." I rushed over to the bush and found both things. I hurried back while he instructed me how to put them on. He got up moaning.

I would have thought he was dead. He's so strong! He can raise me up on his back. He looked at me and said," Lets get out of here!"

We ran so long by the time we got back. I looked at him with huge eyes,"You should go to the healers!" He sighed and nodded. I watched him shamble over to the den. He disappeared inside.

I sat and watch the pack move around me. It almost felt fake. That this was all a dream. But it wasn't. It was a bad day and me and Twilight are gonna get through it together. As friends, good friends. He is my Protecter. I am the packs hunter.

I waited till night fall to go in the den and check on Twilight. He was asleep. I saw Dawn, one of the healers, standing with her head on his. She must be checking if he was hot. I sat next to her. She sighed," Oh. I hope my mate will be ok." I was shocked. He had a mate? He never told me!

He awoke and gave Dawn a lick on the cheek. I was still in shock. He scrambled over to me. "Are you ok? You don't look ok." I shook my head trying to clear the thoughts. Dawn rushed towards me and felt my nose. She said," She's not sick." He shook his head in disagreement. I didn't understand. Why wouldn't he tell me?

I couldn't stand it anymore. I broke out in fury. Twilight looked as shocked and scared as me. I snarled at him," Why didn't you tell me you had a mate? I thought we were best friends! Guess that didn't matter, did it?" I stormed out of the den in anger and shock.

I ran into the forest mad and depressed. I sat in the spot where me and Twilight looked and howled at the moon. I heard paw steps behind me and I turned to see Twilight. I turned my head away from him and snarled," Go away! I don't wanna see you!" He sat beside me. I looked away from his confused and sad eyes. "Look, I knew this would happen. I didn't tell you because I didn't want to hurt your feelings," he barked. I growled,"Just go back to your mate and leave me alone." He back away from me and left me alone.

I finally got the guts to go back to the pack a few days later. I walked in and every wolf flood around me, asking me where I've been and where Twilight is. Dawn was growling at me," It's your fault Twilight went missing!" I flinched from all her fury. She pounced on me and her claws scraped my back. I threw her off and snarled," You think I meant for this to happen? You think I wanted him to go missing? And you attack me? What kind of friend are you?" She looked sad. Her eyes clouded with worry. "I just want him back." I growled," Well, it's not gonna happen by attacking me. I want him too, and we'll find him
