Izuku

"I QUIT!"

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU QUIT?!"

"LET ME SPELL IT OUT FOR YOU! YOU CAN KISS MY ASS! I'M DONE! THIS PLACE IS SHIT AND THIS WORK IS BULLSHIT! YOU'RE AN ASSHOLE AND I HATE YOU! GOODBYE! SAYONARA! ADIOS! AU REVOIR! I'M TIRED OF BEING UNDERAPPRECIATED! THIS COMPANY WILL FALL WITHOUT ME! AND I'M TAKING YOUR BEST SALES ASSOCIATE WITH ME!"

"YOU CAN'T DO THAT!"

"WATCH ME!"

So much had escalated in so little time, I was just trying to understand what was happening. Let me take it back to when we just arrived at the meeting.

"Hello everyone! Good morning. I assume you all know why we've gathered you here," Our supervisor, Webber, spoke at the front of the conference room.

"Today we are handing out another promotion to someone who deserved it for a long time. We have passed them on multiple occasions, but we hope that today will change all of that," He continued.

"So without further ado......"

"DEMARCUS! GET UP HERE MAN! CONGRATULATIONS!"

Those words shot through me like bullets. I could feel the anger oozing out of Todoroki, and I began to bite my lip in anticipation., even I thought this was absolute bullshit. Todoroki had worked more than anyone else in this room and put up with Webber more times than God could. So to hear that made me enraged. But as a cinnamon roll, I played nice for now and clapped along with the rest of my colleagues.

"You've earned this buddy! Cameron, bring out the cake we bought!" Webber chuckled as Cameron brought out a cake, pizzas, and several bottles of water on a rolling cart.

"They.... bought him a cake," Todoroki seethed, clenching his jaw.

"Stay calm. These guys won't realize what they missed up until they're gone," I reassured, running a hand his shoulder for comfort.

"I can't take much more of this, Midoriya."

"I know, Todoroki. Please stay calm. You're my best friend."

"Sorry, but I'm tired of being quiet."

"....Shoto no."

Todorki ignored my plead and walked towards Webber. After a brief conversation, the two of them left the room and I nervously shifted in my chair. That's when all of the yelling started.

"WATCH ME!"

Todoroki stomped back in, quickly meeting my gaze. Then, Todoroki swiftly walked up to me, grabbing my wrist and began to drag me out of the room.

"Come on, Midoriya. We don't need this bullshit," Todoroki grumbled, all eyes were on us and I nervously waved goodbye to everyone.

I quickly packed up my belongings into a box and ran outside to meet up Todoroki. After placing the box in the trunk, Todoroki sat silently in his car.

"Damn. I didn't think you were going to do it," I quietly mumbled, still replaying the last few events in my mind.

"I just sort of broke in there. I've taken enough bullshit for this lifetime and the next from my dad. From now on, I'm not taking that crap from anyone."

An awkward silence filled the air, and I just had to speak up, "It's okay Todoroki. I'm proud of you. How about we order some pizza and watch anime until we pass out?" We both smiled at each other and Todoroki pulled out of the parking lot and drove us home.

"If I'm going, to be honest, Midoriya, I thought you would react angrily with me after I quit for the both of us," Currently, we were sprawled across the couch, eating pepperoni pizza, and watching Ouran Host Club.

"Well, I was upset but I understand why you did what you did. Plus, if I never left that place, my racing license would be for nothing," I explained, nibbling on a slice of pizza.

"I'm glad. Another upside of this is, you can stop using work as an excuse to not go out on dates," Todoroki chuckled, and I threw a pillow harshly at him.

"Stop it. You know how hard it is for me to get a guy," Todoroki's face scowled and he threw the pillow back at me.

"Are you fricking kidding me? Do you know how many guys have thrown themselves at you? There's fifteen just this year!" My face reddened and I sighed in frustration.

"Yeah, but they didn't want something real. I don't want to be another one nightstand. Guys are brutal Shoto," Todoroki's face softened and he came over to give me one of his warm embraces.

"I know. I'm sorry you had to put up with some bad guys. But it's never too late to try girls out?" I nearly choked on my pizza and we had a good laugh.

"Yeah, you do you and be bi. But I've made my final decision in high school."

"Whatever Midoriya. Just try to put yourself out there." I nodded and we continued to watch the show.

My eyes slowly opened and I realized we both had fallen asleep watching Ouran. I sat up and rubbed the drowsiness from my eye, turning off the tv and cleaning up the mess.

"Todoroki, wake up. Go sleep in your room," Todoroki didn't budge and I sighed in defeat. Walking over to the hallway closet and pulling out a blanket for him so he didn't get cold.

While Todoroki slept, I decided to go for a run outside to clear my mind. We both have money for now, but I'm unemployed. I have a license that can be put to use, but that means doing gigs again. I'm not sure if I'm still good enough. Only one way to find out, but man that'll be nerve-racking. Not to mention-

Suddenly a large silhouette came up from beside me and knocked the wind out of me by sending me to fall on the pavement, merely scraped my knees in the process.

"Hey, watch it!"

"Huh?" The man glanced back to notice my unknown presence sprawled on the road and paled. He paced back immediately to where I was and extended a hand for aide.

"Oh fuck, I'm sorry! I didn't even see you. Here let me help."

For someone who I deemed an ass took me by surprise. Guess I underestimated him from the panicked expression contorted on him, which kinda tempted me to laugh but I managed to stifle it before letting it slip out.

"What's the rush? Training for a marathon or something?" I kidded, clasping a firm grip of the hand and he hoisted me up in no time. Once I regained stance, I dusted off the filth that got caught on my shorts in an attempt to be punctual.

"Something like that. Are you okay?" Now that I was on my feet, I got a good look at him. Damn, he is fine. Spiky blonde locks, assertive yet softened ruby orbs, toned body, perfectly meeting all the standards I sought to find for a dateable guy, and his voice so was sultry and husky.

"Mmh, yep. Well, goodbye then," I turned my heel and began to run back towards my apartment.

"Wait! Hold up! Let me make it up to you," The man secured a hand around my arm and I just paused and smiled.

Todoroki did say to get out there and have some fun. Plus, this guy is my type. What's the harm?

"What exactly did you have in mind?"

He smiled devilishly at me.

"Mind getting a cup of coffee?" A smirk tugged at my lips and I felt a small blush rise onto my cheeks.

"Sure."

With that, we walked towards a nearby cafe and ordered some drinks before settling down in a booth.

"So, what's your name?" This unknown, alluring blonde asked, taking a sip of his Americano.

"Izuku Midoriya, what's yours?"

"Katsuki Bakugou."

"Oh, you're Japanese too?"

"Yeah, I'm here for work. What about you, Izuku?"

"Immigrated here when I was five. Been a citizen ever since."

"Mmh. So what do you do?"

"Well, I'm a rookie racecar driver. As of this afternoon that is," Katsuki's eyes widened and I nervously sipped my mocha.

"As of this afternoon?"

I set down my mocha and nodded, beginning to explain what went down earlier today.

"Believe it or not, I'm usually not so open about myself," Katsuki chuckled and ran a hand through his hair, and I couldn't help but bite my lip.

"I get it. Usually, I don't ask people on dates at first glance, but you're just so alluring. Guys probably throw themselves at you huh? Not that I can blame them, I mean look at you," My face turned 50 shades of red and I just giggled.

"That's very nice of you, Katsuki. You're right, some men do that. But I'm not interested in just hooking up," His eyes dilated and we stared at each other with such intensity that I felt like grabbing his face and slamming my lips onto his right there. Self-control is barely keeping me sane right now.

"I guess that's the downside of being so gorgeous."

"Oh stop it. I'm not that good looking."

"Bullshit."

"You know, you're different from most men I've met, Katsuki. So what do you do?"

"Me? Well, this is going to sound crazy, but I also drive race cars," My eyes glistened in stardom and I began to fanboy.

"That's cool. I guess they wanted someone with the looks and the charm."

Katsuki flashed me a genuine smile and brushed his hand over mine.

"You're cute and a flatter? Lucky me huh?" He drew my hand up to his mouth and kissed it gently. Fuck, I fell for him hard.

"Yep. But I can a lot more than just sit down and look pretty," I winked and licked some whipped cream off my fingers from my mocha.

"God, you're such a tease." Katsuki lightly flushed, putting my hand down with his.

"Sorry~"

"It's alright. I don't mind a show," Katskui then leaned over and wiped his thumb on my cheek. He then licked the wiped cream off of his thumb and I became hotter than the sun. That was so sexy.

Suddenly I bit my bottom lip again, a little bit too hard not it mattered and began to tap my fingers on the table, gazing out the window and admiring the view of the vibrant city.

"It's beautiful, isn't it?" Katsuki spoke as I slowly turned my head from the window and towards him.

"Yeah. I can't get enough of the Golden Gate Bridge."

"What's it like? I've never been," I jolted up and looked him dead in the eye when he admitted this.

"You have never been to the Golden Gate Bridge?'

"Yeah. Is that a bad thing?"

"A horrible thing! I have to fix this right now. Get up, we're leaving," Just like that, I dragged him out of the cafe and into a cab.

"You move fast," Katsuki chuckled. I immediately let go of his hand once I realized I was holding it.

"So what's the big deal with the Golden Gate Bridge anyway?"

"It's just important to me. Besides, the view of the ocean is gorgeous from the bridge."

"Just can't wait to spend more time with me?" Katsuki chuckled as I rolled my eyes and smiled.
