It's done. The attic is opened.

A stone feels like it's stuck in my throat. Heart pounds till I hear nothing but my own harsh breathing.

I push the door a little and let a light from the hallway seep in.

I take a lungful of the stale air and gag at the stench.

My hand lets go of the doorknob and I tentatively step towards the window to let some air... and then I see it.

It was very skeleton looking.

But I knew it wasn't a skeleton.  

I heard it moan before I scrambled out.
