Bone white limbs, sunken milky white eyes, lips pulled into a sinister snarl. Even from under the blanket I can still picture him perfectly. Ellie had told me he wasn't going to do anything, but I don't trust her.

His white body seemed short but with him crawling on the floor, I wouldn't know if he was taller than me. A tattered dark grey 'dress' covered his torso.
If only it were longer, it surely would've covered the awkward limbs; the legs that faced backwards and the elbows that jutted out, desperately trying to poke my eye.

"Come out of there," Ellie's voice echoed from my right.

No way.

"It won't do anything to you. Come, let's play. I can show you that doll I told you about!"

No. No.

"I...I want to go home."

"Come on, just say you are not scared of it." Ellie's voice is now much closer than before.

I tighten the blanket around me. "No. I want to go."

"Come on." Ellie tugs a corner, I squeeze my eyes. I don't want to be here anymore.

"Just say it," her voice echoes, "say you are not scared of it."

I gulp.

"I'm not scared of you," I whisper.

"Good girl." She caresses my head, rips the blanket away from me and I see 'Danny' crawl towards me. I gasp and stand.

Danny gets closer and closer until he is charging towards me. He snaps his jaw repeatedly, mimicking chewing. I briefly spy blood-stained savage teeth.

"Say it again," Ellie urges me.

I feel a trickle run down my legs. "I'm not scared of you."

Danny lets out a piercing screech and falls on his backward heels. He whines, just like a dog.

"See, he didn't do anything." Her cheerful smile chilled me.
