Confusing images violently surfaced in (Y/n)'s mind as she opened her eyes.

She was feeling particularly tired, which was strange for a vampire. What had brought her to this state? She looked around and realised she was in an unfamiliar place. She focused on an indefinite point, trying to order the disordered tangle of her thoughts. She stroked her neck, finally managing to unite the images into a logical thread.

She had found herself allying with wretched humans in order to save her beloved Queen Krul Tepes. To no avail as events unfolded. That strange boy had certainly managed to keep that incredibly strong vampire at bay, but they hadn't calculated that change of plan that the progenitor would have put in place in order to complete his mission.

They had managed to free Ferid, but that didn't matter to (Y/n). She was one of Krul Tepes' personal guards. Her only job was to protect and defend the queen at any cost. Which was the only reason why she had momentarily allied herself with that bunch of humans.

After that the situation had deteriorated somewhat. Obviously Ky Luc had tried to stem the losses due to the human attack deciding to run away with the vampire queen.

She couldn't possibly allow that to happen. She had tried the impossible even though she knew the gap between her and this new enemy was too wide for her to overcome.

It had only taken a split second to find herself on the ground, unarmed, helpless. Ky's hands clasped around her neck. She had been waiting for the move that would end her long existence, yet the vampire took her by surprise.

His fangs were in her neck.

What did that mean?

Why had this vampire decided to impose such humiliation on her?

In his jaws she had lost consciousness from the sudden draining of blood.

Now she had a picture of what had happened before she had failed in her duty.

But where was she now?

She did not recognise that place.

"Someone has returned from dreamland. I thought I had gone too far!" A crystal clear laugh echoed through the air.

(Y/n) flushed as she found herself looking into the other vampire's eyes.

Disgust took over her, realising that her head was resting on his legs.

She jumped up, but something else caught her attention as she did so.

She was no longer wearing her usual uniform, but a long white dress.

Too transparent for her liking.

She shuddered as she felt Ky's lips settle gently at the base of her neck and his arms tighten around her waist pulling her closer to him.

(Y/n) held her breath.

"Your blood is such a lure to me. No human has ever managed to make me lose control the way you did. If you had not thrown yourself so passionately to defend the traitor I could never have had the honour of tasting this sweet nectar. I'm glad it happened."

"What are you going to do to me?"

"Nothing you can regret, my (Y/n). I intend to claim you in every way possible as mine and no one else's."
