Winston is sitting at a desk working on a shield generator with his artificial intelligence named Athena.

Athena: Shield generator test, ready to proceed.

Winston pushes the activate button on the shield generator and it makes a small shield then shows stop signs that read "FAIL" a few seconds later the shield generator explodes. He falls and groans.

Athena: Now now, No need for that. Your heartrate is through the roof.

Winston: I told you to stop monitoring my vitals Athena.

Winston climbs to the upper level of the lab.

Athena: Very well. It has been 43 days, 7 hours, and 29 seconds since your last cardio workout. Remember a healthy body is a-

Winston: A healthy mind, I know.

Winston grabs a jar of peanut butter and a banana.

Winston: That's why I have this.

Winston laughs as he turns on the news on his computer and opens his jar of peanut butter and peels his banana.

News Anchor: The second omnic crisis continues to devastate Russia. The conflict between omnics and humans has now claimed over fifty-thousand lives. So far, the international community has been reluctant to intervene.

Winston pulls up a screen that reads,

Winston moves to push "yes"

Athena: Everytime you see news of this sort we go through this. I warn you, recalling Overwatch Agents to active duty comes with a great risk. The Petras Act clearly states that any Overwatch activity is deemed illegal and punishable by prosecution.

Winston: I know. You are right. That is the way the world is. But, I do miss the old days.

Winston looks at a banner of the old Overwatch team with Soldier 76, Genji, Ana, Tracer, Reyes, and McCree clearly visible. Suddenly, his computer screen becomes red and is flashing "Intruder Alert!" Winston then hears footsteps.

Athena: I am detecting intruders.

Winston: Talon! Athena, kill the lights.

Athena turns off the lights of the facility and Winston climbs above the door they are entering in. They enter the lab and cover all directions except for upward. Winston drops down, landing on 3 of the Talon Soldiers. He grabs two and throws them at a wall. One shoots at Winston but he grabs the gun and snaps it in two. He then rolls behind the last two soldiers and bashes their heads together. A smoke trail flies past Winston and up to the main computer. The smoke clears and a black figure with a skull mask stands above Winston wielding dual shotguns. Winston leaps at him but is shot with an electric shot connected to a rope. The Talon Soldiers start using stun guns on Winston. The black figure walks over to the computer.

Athena: Security measures are failing. Winston! Reaper is extracting the Overwatch Agent Location Database.

Winston stands up and grabs the rope connected to him and pulls the Talon Soldier off his feet and spins him around the room, hitting all of the other Talon soldiers. Winston lets go and he flies into the window of the room Reaper is standing.

Athena: Extraction at 32%

Reaper jumps out of the room and behind Winston and starts to open fire. Winston falls to the ground and Reaper shoots a light down crushing Winston.

Athena: Winston! He is going to have ALL of the Overwatch Agents' locations!

Reaper: I will be sure to send them your regards, Monkey.

Reaper points his shotguns at Winston.

Winston: I am not a Monkey...

Winston activates the shield generator prototype and slides it on the ground to next to Reaper. It flashes "FAIL" like before. Reaper laughs.

Winston: I am a scientist.

Winston covers his face with his arms and the shield generator explodes, Reaper is thrown against a wall. Winston gets up and grabs his Tesla Canon. Winston then shoots Reaper with electricity and Reaper screams in pain. Reaper then disappears and laughs. Winston then climbs up to the room with the main computer and rips out the extraction chip.

Athena: Failing 99%

Winston: Hang on Athena.

The computer screen goes dark.

Winston: Athena? Athena!

The screen comes back online and shows Athena's logo.

Athena: Virus quarantined. I am running diagnostics on the core database. Restoring systems.

All screens come back online and Winston sighs with relief. The Overwatch Recall screen pops up. Winston hears his father's voice in his head.

Winston's father: Do not see the world as it is. Dare to see it as what it could be.

Winston presses "Yes". A globe appears with the locations of all of the Overwatch Agents. Winston then sees the screen appear "Active Call"

Tracer: Winston, is that you, Love? It has been too long.

Winston: Yes, Yes it has.
