Alejandra opens the door to her house which is also a restaurant.

Alejandra: I'm not a baby any more mama. Stop treating me as one.

Alej's Mother: Listen to me nina, Get the flour and come back home. No stops.

Alejandra: Fine!

Alejandra storms off down the road. She enters a recreational area to see three thugs, one of them named Pablo, beating up an omnic. She tries to walk by without being seen.

Pablo: Ey, ey! Alej, where you going girl?

Alejandra stops walking.

Alejandra: No- nowhere.

Pablo: Nowhere is right! Come here, you gotta see this.

Pablo puts his arm around her and walks her over to the omnic on the ground.

Alejandra: Uh...

Pablo: Here, look at this thing. Give him what he deserves.

Pablo hands Alejandra a baseball bat with metal plating on the outside. The omnic is dented and scratched.

Alejandra: I don't know. I got to go.

Pablo: Come on... DO IT!

Pablo pushes Alejandra towards the omnic.

Pablo: It's just a bucket of bolts.

Alejandra: Uh. I got to go the store before it closes my mama is going to kill me.

A thug reaches for Alejandra's money pouch and grabs it. His name is Tony.

Tony: That is gonna be hard without any money.

Tony holds it above Alejandra's head.

They all hop on their hover-truck and leave.

Alejandra chases after them but stops out of loss of breath.

Alejandra: My money!

Alejandra dives into an alley and runs until she gets to a part barred up with wooden planks. She peeks through to see the thugs truck stop and they get off. Alejandra then continues further down the alley to see another thug. He falls onto the ground as another comes out of a connecting alley crying for help then is suddenly dragged back in. Pablo and two thugs enter the ally. Pablo hears the screams.

Pablo: Hey, go check that out!

Pablo runs in the opposite direction and the others search the ally as Alejandra ducks behind a box. A thug is thrown into an electrical box and the thugs searching scream. The lights in the ally go out. One of them sees the mercenary as he goes into the shadows. The thugs gather back to back and the mercenary pops out and smacks their heads together and they fall to the ground. A thug in the distance jumps at the sight of the mercenary and reaches in a box of pinatas and grabs a minigun. The thug opens fire and the mercenary takes cover. The mercenary then shoots a missile at the minigun wielding thug as more thugs appear on the roof wielding AK-47s. The mercenary jumps and locks onto the enemies on the roof and shoots them all. One falls and starts to crawl away. The mercenary grabs a metal pipe and starts hitting the last thug with it.

Soldier 76: THESE AREN'T YOUR STREETS ANY MORE!

Alejandra screams and Soldier 76 looks up at her. Another truck drives in and extracts the last surviving thugs.

Soldier 76: You don't get off that easy!

Soldier 76 sprints toward the truck. Tony throws a grenade past Soldier 76 and near Alejandra. The truck drives away and just before the grenade goes off Soldier 76 dives and protects Alejandra from the blast. Soldier 76 stands up in pain from the blast.

Alejandra: You, saved me. Why?

Soldier 76: Old habits die hard, I guess. Run home kid. It ain't safe out here.

Soldier 76 passes Alejandra her money pouch. Alejandra smiles and Soldier 76 walks away.

Alejandra: You are one of those heroes, aren't you?

Soldier 76: Not anymore....

Soldier 76 walks into the shadows disappearing from Alejandra's sight.
