We woke up and went through our routine got up got dressed and took Del to the bus.

Then i went into the office answering calls as always.

Then i decided to look through my closet for a dress to wear tonight at Del's show.
Sam came in.

"Hey babe what you doing?"

"Looking for a dress to wear at the show."

He came towards me"Jesus you have a mall in your closet!"

He goes through my dresses and i giggle.

"Part of being a performer requires formal wear.My normal clothes are in the drawers." i say.

I finally find the dress.

An hour before the show....

We were all getting ready i have Del a bath and did her hair and made it pretty and wavy:

I help her in her dress and shoes:

She looked so beautiful that i almost cried as i realized how fast she was growing.

Soon sam and i had to get ready.

Sam and i take a shower and get dressed:

We drive Delilah to the school and walk her to the classroom and then we walk into the auditorium when i get the brouchure i look at it:

Parent appreciation concert!!

Welcome to the first ever parent appreciation concert!
This show is a way of showing our appreciation to all our parents and all they do.
This one is for Mommy,Daddy,Grandma,Grandpa and all the other amazing guardians in our life!
We love you and tonight is all for you!!

Introduction.....Mrs.Warren

You are my sunshine.....The kiddo chior

My guardian is....Ms.Bell's class.

Best day.......Delilah M. Winchester solo/confession.

You've got a friend in me......kiddo chorus.

I couldnt believe it my little girl had a solo!!!

We sat down in a seat.

Constant chatter and questions fill the room. Then someone came on stage.

"Good evening everyone! Welcome to our first ever Parent appreciation concert! We have just a small treat for our wonderful guardians in our lives that love us and we love. I want to thank you all for coming out this evening i know some of you are very busy and have work and a busy life but we won't take up much of your time so just sit back, relax and enjoy the show."

Everyone claps and the curtains opens:

I was constantly looking for Delilah i couldnt find her.
Soon the performance was over i clapped.

The curtains close and Ms.Bell comes out.

"Good evening to to all in my class i asked my students to tell me about there awesome parents. Here are just a few."

Out of the curtains comes a small boy Ms.Bell hands him the mic.

"My name is justin and my parents are funny they always make me smile when im sad."

Everyone including me smile and sam awe
A little girl comes out."my name is manda and my dad is cool he always dances and sings with me on the way to school!"

There are a few laughs throughout the audience.

A few more kids come out then Ms.Bell comes out.

"But out of all the beautiful stories and confessions. One from a very shy and quiet student of ours had a very touching testimony that we thought deserved a spot of its own so this student and i decided that she would also sing a song for her mother. Enjoy."

Out on the stage comes Delilah.
I gasp in shock and happiness.
She looks through the crowd the her eyes land on me and sam we smile and wave at her. She smiles and the music starts:

I was practically in tears by the end of the song one of the ushers handed me a tissue and sam comforts me.

"My mommy is the best mommy ever! We have tea parties almost every single day after school." Del says.

The audience including sam and i laugh.

"My mommy is funny and cool she takes me to fun places and gives me oreos!"

I laugh more.

"But my mommy does something bad..she lies about her happiness..she lies about being ok. She lies about not being hungry and not being tired. But she does it all for me so i can be happy and have fun and so we can have cookies for our tea parties. I love my mommy and my daddy they are both awesome!"

I cried even more.

"Would Ms.(L/n) come to the stage?" Ms.Bell says.
Sam and I get up and go down the aisle and i go onstage.

Deliliah hands me a paper.

"Delilah and I have been putting together a small token of appreciation and this os what we created.":

(Just ignore the julia part and the date.)
"Awww Delilah!" i get down on one knee and hug her. "This is so beatiful im gonna gang it up on the wall when i get home."

We get off stage so they can get on with the show.

We sit down and they open the curtains.

The kids were on stage chattering, laughing and carrying on when one of the kids run on stage.

"AANDY'S COMIIING!!"

All the kids stop everything they were doing some fell to the ground and some posed.

Sam and i laughed.

A kid came running onto the stage with a buzz light year doll.

"Buzz light year blast off into outer space TO INFINITY AND BEYOND!!!" the kid run off stage.

We laugh once more this was too cute:

We got up and clapped and laugh it was amazing then we go backstage to pick up Del. When she sees me shes runs to me and i run to her she leaps into my arms and i spin her around she wrapr her legs around my hip and her hands around my neck.

"I am so proud of you baby girl you did amazing up there!" i tell her.

"You did an amazing job so how about we go out to eat tp celebrate?!" Sam says.

"Only if mommy goes to her concert." Del says.

"What?" i say

"Your concert i heard you and daddy talking about it."

"The exposae" sam says.

"I dont know if ill be able to make it." i say

"We have to try mommy you have to try!please?" she gives me puppy dog eyes.

"Sam did you somehow genetically teach her bribery?"

Sam chuckled."nope."

"Fine lets talk to your teacher and go." i say putting her down she cheers.

I run and find Ms.Bell and tell her thank you and assured her that Delilah was safe and with me and we drive to the location the guy given me it was to the Grand Theatre near by. We ran in and i went backstage and show the guard my card.

"Youre lucky you got here before they ended the show."

They walked me onstage and the audience cheers and whistles.

"Hello there who are you?"  i guess one of the judges say.

"Im Starlight."

"Whats you real name?" another judge asked.

"Starlight." i answer.

Everyone laughed.

"Well what will you be doing?" another judge asked.

"Well im going to be singing."

"Well do what you do." the judge says.

They play the music:

Everyone claps and cheers.

"May i just say you already look flattering like your dress fits you perfectly and you have a powerful voice just like hers i could tell you were pouring your heart into that song as if it was something you completely related to and understood which made the performance even better"

"Thank you." i get off stage but i was put back on stage with the other contestants.

Some girl who sang a whitney houston song won first place i came in second and a boy who was a pole dancer came in third after that i got off stage and found Sam and Del.

Sam kissed me."you did amazing!"

"thank you!" i say i hug del and we go out to eat at A buffet. Soon after we went home and put Del to sleep.
Sam and i stayed up staring at each other while holding hands.

"So you know i have to go tomorrow?" sam says.

"Yea." i say sadly. I get closer.
"I dont want you to go."

He puts his forehead to mines."i know and i dont want to leave either this is the first time in a very long time that ive been able to relax and be happy without a demon on my ass."

I laugh."do you really have to go?"

"Im afraid so but i promise ill come back to see you and Del every chance i get."

"Promise?"

"Promise."

"What was the name of that song you were singing in the shower?"

"Dear happy."

"Sing it for me?"

"Ok. 🎶I missed you dearly
