II. Shirt Swappers

 3 years earlier:

"Oh my God! I am so sorry!" Min Yoongi gasped. He panicked and grabbed as many brown napkins from the counter as he could to press against the new coffee stain on the stranger's white dress shirt. The owner of the shirt hissed as the hot liquid burned his skin, the pain spreading from the middle of his chest all the way down his abdominal muscles.

To Yoongi's surprise, the stranger didn't look angry, but rather, he was pouting. "Aigoo," the stranger whined while watching the other male frantically dab the disposable towels against his clothed body in an attempt to dry the spill. "I have a job interview in like ten minutes." Being dry was pointless, though. His brand new, white satin shirt—which he had bought just for this occasion—was now completely ruined, and it was all thanks to this careless imbecile who came storming up to the counter, presumably to complain about his order. He wasn't paying a single bit of attention to anyone but himself, which resulted in a horrible collision between himself and a handsome, baby-faced stranger.

"Ah, well shit," Yoongi cursed under his breath, running his hand through his black locks while thinking. The man felt awful for spilling the stranger's own coffee down the front of his nice-looking shirt. It didn't help at all knowing that the guy had somewhere important to be. "H-Here, let me make it up to you..." Yoongi hesitated and made hand gestures, trying to convey that he wanted the latter's name.

The pouty male caught onto the silent question and filled in the blank. "Jimin," he said curtly, putting his hands on his hips and sighing. On the outside, he seems chill, but he was having an internal mini-meltdown because there's just no way he can show up to a job interview like this.

"Jimin," Yoongi repeated. He grabbed another handful of napkins. "God I'm such an idiot."

The male who smelled strongly of espresso rubbed the back of his neck. "Yeah," Jimin agreed absentmindedly before he began to verbally express his panicked thoughts. "How can you make it up to me? I'm thirty minutes away from home and I don't really want to go waste my money on a new shirt. This was really expensive! I can't show up to my job interview looking like, like—" The veins in Jimin's neck protruded as he racked his brain for fitting words. He gestured to the brown-stained silk that clung to his defined abs and exasperated, "Like this!"

Right there in the middle of the coffee shop, not even thinking twice, Yoongi began to undress. "Take off your shirt," he commanded as he slid his own jacket off his shoulders.

"What?!"

The black, leather jacket that Yoongi had previously been wearing was now between his legs, him not wanting it to touch the probably-filthy floor. "Just take it off," Yoongi quipped. When Jimin didn't move, Yoongi took the initiative to unbutton the man's dress shirt himself.

"Yah!" Jimin yelled and shoved Yoongi's big hands away from him. "I am perfectly capable of undressing myself, you pervert." Park Jimin was very well aware that all eyes were directed at them thanks to his outbursts. They were probably anticipating the public nudity. Hesitantly, Jimin slid the pearly buttons through the holes one by one.

Yoongi's shirt wasn't anywhere near as fancy as the silk button-up. It was a white t-shirt that displayed a skull and crossbones in a red circle. It's one of the shirts from his too-tired-to-make-an-effort dresser drawer. Although it wasn't formal attire, Jimin figured a graphic tee beat a coffee-stained shirt any day.

While the two topless men exchanged clothes, Jimin could sense the other man eyeing him. Acting like the cocky snot Jimin knows he's not, he flexed his impressive six-pack before he slipped the shirt over his body.

"Here," Yoongi said in a completely smooth voice as if he wasn't just totally caught staring at this guy's body. He draped his leather jacket over Jimin's shoulders. "It's cold and you don't have sleeves anymore."

Jimin thanked him awkwardly before slipping his arms through the holes. "What's your name?"

"Yoongi. Min Yoongi," Yoongi replied as he struggled with the third shirt button.

"Well Min Yoongi, this hardly makes up for ruining my morning and basically taking my high-dollar shirt, but thanks anyway," Jimin said before checking his watch. "I have to go." And just like that, Yoongi was alone in the middle of the shop with an embarrassing stain on his (technically Jimin's) partially-buttoned shirt.

Jimin dashed down the sidewalk to his destination. Although Jimin was irked and would love to cancel and go back to bed, this job interview was extremely important. There's tuition he needs to pay for along with utility bills now that he's no longer living with his parents in Busan. He can't let a sour mood ruin this for him.

With only a minute to spare, Jimin barged into the newly-opened salon and spent a good thirty seconds catching his breath before announcing his arrival. He had a good feeling about this place. The man was confident that Ilsan Salon was the perfect place for him to start his future.
