Marella's P.O.V

Marella nervously gulped as she pressed her back up against the wall while holding Stowy in her hands.

"What do you want?!" Marella spat, trying to hold back her fear as the gun pointed right at her head.

"More like what do you want? Since you're barging in and searching in my room," the guy countered.

"I want you to leave us alone! Or you'll pay!" Marella threatened.

The guy tilted his head, the hood still covering his face so Marella couldn't quite make out his facial features. "You're quite foolish to be shouting at me. Remember, I'm the one with the gun."

Before Marella could shout another thing, there were loud footsteps coming from around the corner.

Marella and Dex jumped when the huge janitor from earlier popped out and spotted them.

"HEY! YOU DIDN'T DO ANY OF THE ROOMS I ASSIGNED YOU TO!" The janitor bellowed, starting to charge towards them.

"Oh not him again!" Dex cried out.

Before Marella could react, Stowy jumped out of her hands and bit the Neverseen guy right in the leg.

The man yelped and clutched his leg while Marella, Dex, and Wylie took that as a distraction to start sprinting away.
Marella made sure she grabbed Stowy so he wasn't left behind.

Unfortunately, the guy recovered fast and was after them not too far behind. And he wasn't the only one after them.

"What is happening?!" Wylie asked, looking so confused while huffing and puffing.

"We got an angry Neverseen and janitor dude after us! No time to explain, just run!" Dex exclaimed, struggling to keep up with his metal leg.

Marella then made the mistake of looking back which caused her to trip over her feet and face plant of the ground.

Dex screeched to a stop beside her and saw the janitor and the guy gaining on them so he shouted at the janitor, "HEY! THIS MAN SAYS HE IS GOING TO FIRE YOU FOR WHAT YOU DID TO US!"

Dex then pointed at the Neverseen dude which caused the janitor to screech to a stop and angrily turn to face the Neverseen guy.

"What? The kid's lying!" The guy defended.

But the janitor took no chances and started to charge at the man.

"C'mon! This will buy us a few seconds!" Dex said, helping Marella up.

They then looped back around to where they were originally at, where the janitor cart still stood.

They stopped for a second to catch their breath.

"Guys, you have some serious explaining to do," Wylie huffed.

"Let's worry about that later! Now, we have to tell Edaline and Grady that we need to get out of here quick and find some other place to stay. Somewhere where we know this dude isn't following us too," Marella said.

"Okay we need—"

"GOT YOUUUU!" A loud voice yelled, cutting off Dex.

Marella looked up and shrieked when she saw the janitor had picked up Dex by his shirt and looked ready to throw Dex across the room.

"Please sir! I didn't mean any harm!" Dex exclaimed helplessly.

Without hesitating, Marella grabbed the janitor cart and shoved it right into the janitor, causing him to stumble back and drop Dex.

"EY!" The janitor cried out, miserably failing to regain his balance.

Marella then grabbed Dex's arm and dragged him with her and Wylie as they sprinted towards the staircase at the end of the hall.

As they hurriedly tried to make it down the stairs, Marella heard loud footsteps chasing her from behind, causing her to stumble and trip from fear.

Suddenly, Marella missed a step and fell forward, causing something hard to fall out of her pocket.

Marella looked up to see she had dropped the strange device she had taken.

When she started to run back up the stairs to retrieve it, Dex noticed and yelled, "Marella, we don't have time! Leave it behind and let's go!"

"Yeah, what he said!" Wylie agreed.

"But it could be important!" Marella argued.

She was only a few steps away from the device.

So close.

As Marella reached her arm out to grab the device, a foot came out and stomped on Marella's hand hard.

Marella yelled out in pain and looked up to see it was the Neverseen guy.

"Oh you want this?" The man asked, picking up the device and waving it in the air.

Marella fueled with rage and before she could think, her hand shot to her pocket and brought out her knife.

She raised it and brought it up against the man's neck while shoving him down.

"I'm gonna kill you!" Marella growled, pressing the blade up against his throat.

"You don't have the guts!" The man spat.

"Oh yeah?!" Marella challenged.

She then raised the knife up into the air but before she could bring it down, the man cried out, "wait! You don't want to do this!"

"Why not?!" Marella asked.

"Because if you don't hurry, Grady and Edaline will explode right along with that lovely bomb I planted in their room that will go off in one minute," the guy explained, now wearing a smug look

Marella's eyes widened as she paled.

Oh no.

Marella then jumped up and sprinted for her life down the stairs

No! No! No!

Dex and Wylie were trailing right behind Marella while the ran for their lives to Grady and Edaline's room

"We won't reach the room in time! Call them!" Dex suggested, breathing heavily.

Marella then made an abrupt stop and pulled out her phone and dialed Edaline's number as fast as she could.

Edaline picked up immediately and Marella cried out, "EDALINE! GET OUT OF YOUR ROOM NOW! ITS NOT SAFE! GET OUT AND RUN TO THE MAIN LOBBY!"

Marella's heart pounded as all she could think was that the bomb would go off any second.

"Huh?" Edaline mumbled, sounding half asleep. "What's going on? Where are you guys? It's late—"

"NO EDALINE! LISTEN TO ME! GRAB GRADY AND SPRINT FOR YOUR LIFE OUT OF THERE!" Marella yelled, her breath hitching.

"What's going on?!" Edaline asked.

"THERE'S A BOMB—"

"MARELLA!" Wylie shouted, shaking her shoulders.

"WHAT?!" Marella yelled.

"STOP! There's no bomb," Wylie said.

"Huh?!" Marella exclaimed, confused.

"Look," Wylie said, pointing out the front doors of the front lobby.

Marella looked out and saw that the Neverseen guy was running out the doors and now escaping

"It's been past a minute," Wylie said.

"Oh my gosh..." Marella mumbled.

"He only said there was a bomb so he could escape," Dex realized.

"UGH!" Marella yelled, slamming her arm down on the table near her. "I HAD HIM!"

"It's fine, at least we are safe," Wylie said.

"No, it's not fine," Marella said, shaking her head.

They just got played.
