Burned Memories

Being homeless in front of a Coffee shop wasn't so bad. You just have to lay there on a matt or a flattened box and watch people go in and out of the shop. Even just sitting there could get you new friends. Or new enemies... Staying in front of the coffee shop could be a bad decision too. Like people dumping drinks on top of your head. Yeah that's mostly what happened to Jay. Just sit in front of the coffee shop and let people dump burning coffee on you five to ten times a day. It wasn't that hard since one of the waitresses who worked there kept on coming out and dry him off and give him a free coffee or two.

For the waitress it was a part time job since she had college. She had unusually fluffy white hair that would be tied up in a ponytail most of the time. Other times her hair would just be out there, here and there. Her eyes were a brown dark to the point you cant see her pupils. Her name was Gwenn- she's awfully nice, until she snaps. She'll turn into a monster and beat you up so good you'll have to go to the hospital for it. She is very talented in hand-to-hand combat. She even is asked to be part of gangs by gang leaders almost all the time. But she will always refuse.

But today, she didn't show up. Jay would just shrug it off and continue basking in the sun. He also realized that people weren't dumping coffee on him. What, is a current event going on?? He looked around and noticed the whole street was empty. He sighed, "It must be a holiday." The truth is, Jay never had a clue what day or time it was. He didn't even know what month it was either. But, he never cared. He decided to stand up and take a walk around town.

Walking in the almost empty streets, he saw something. He looked over at it and figured out it was a abandoned amusement park. There were signs that said 'DO NOT ENTER' that surrounded each opening of it. He instantly broke down remembering what had happened there. Years ago when he was only a young teen, probably at the age of sixteen he and his brother were having a day off at the amusement park. His brother stumbled upon his group of friends and told Jay he was going to hang with them for awhile. By the time the amusement park had closed he waited and waited for his brother to show up, but he never did. He shrugged it off and went home.

The next day he didn't show up. Jay just thought to himself, he must be playing games with his friends, he'll show up tomorrow. But even two days later he didn't show up. It turned into weeks, then a month. Finally when it was a new month he ended up calling the police. He told them that he was last seen at the amusement park with his friends. Coincidently on that same day he went missing a group of teens who were all females died there because of one of the main attraction, Rainy Days. Rainy Days was a jester who owned two lions and two tigers. She was so talented that any challenge that they gave her she would always succeed and even survive through the ones that seemed like it could kill her. Jay figured that they were possibly killed by Rainy Days so he told the police to track her down. Turns out that everyone who knew who she was were killed. That meant all the staff members were dead, all the staff member's friends were dead too. Rainy Days was classified as a serial killer and they asked for no one to go near the amusement park, not even glance or think about going in there.

By this time its been thirty minutes since Jay had been standing their bawling his eyes out in front of the amusement park. At the back of his head, which seemed so close to him, a voice came out. The voice was deeper and more.... masculine than his. Dont stand there for too long. She'll kill us. We dont fucking want that. We dont want to end up like the girls there do we? Jay choked on his tears and was utterly confused. He looked around, but no one was there. It turned out the voice was in his head. He thought it was just him talking to himself to calm him down and get away from that traumatizing area and memories.

He walked back to the street where his matt was and realized everyone had decided to come out now. "The fuck? They show up when I leave? Bunch of bullshit." He hissed and went to his matt and sat on it. The door of the coffee shop opened up and out came Gwenn.

"Hey Jay! ....Oh you look a little off! Did something happen, Jay??"

"No, its nothing."

"Then why are there tears all over your face?"

"You caught me there girl."

"Here ill get you some coffee I'll be right back!"

The lady ran inside then soon came back out holding a cup of coffee, she gave it to Jay who was trying to shrug the memory off. "Thank you, Gwenn." The girl giggled, "No problem!!" He chuckled and took a sip of the coffee. It burned his lips and tongue but he didn't care. He already dealt with people dumping freshly made coffee on his head thousands of times. What burned him the most was the memories that were made at the amusement park.
