There are six reindeer. There's not much more that can be said. This has bothered me since the first time I watched it. For some reason, North's sleigh only has six reindeer as opposed to the usual eight. (nine if you include Rudolf.) I honestly have no idea why this is. It is possible that they mention it in the books, but as I have yet to read them, I will only be discussing the movie. And in the movie, it is never stated why there are only six reindeer.
