Hey guys, my names Julia. I'm 21 years old and I'm from Texas. I'm single, not that I'm choosing to be. I just haven't found the right guy yet. Truth is, there's never any nice guys around here they're either fuckboys or jerks...or both.

For example my best friend, Lisa, she was dating her high school sweetheart for 4 years. But all he ever did was screw her over, I'm glad they've finally broken up because he was a fuckboy and a jerk to her.
Lisa is a lil younger than me only by 4 months though. She's British but moved over here 5 years ago with her mom and dad. We met in school, she asked me if she could sit with me at lunch and the rest is history!

Today's just a normal day in Texas
I'm chilling on my bed watching tv, I hear my favorite song playing 'Kill 'em with kindness' which means my phones ringing. I answer it.

-on the phone-
Me: Hey
Lisa: Heyy, what are you doing?
Me: Chilling at home, you?
Lisa: Oh, nice
Me: Why?
Lisa: Well I'm bored and hungry and my mum and dad are outta town...

I laugh a little

Me: Okay..and?
Lisa: Wanna go to Taco Bell?
Me: We were only there yesterday!
Lisa: Yeah I know that but you know what I'm like

Since Lisa moved here she's been obsessed with Taco Bell we get one at least once a week.

Me: Okay finnee
Lisa: Yay thank youuu

I roll my eyes and smirk

Me: You're welcome
Lisa: I'll be at your house in 10 mins
Me: Okay, bye
Lisa: Bye

Lisa drives so she does most of the traveling but if she doesn't know how to get somewhere we take the bus. Lisa pulls up outside my house, I come out my house and get in the car.

Lisa: Hey
Me: Hey

We go to Taco Bell and get our usual order and sit down. Lisa's phone dings, she checks it.

Lisa: Ugh it's Jay

Jay is Lisa's ex who I mentioned earlier

Me: Ew what does he want?
Lisa: He said he misses me and wants to hang out
Me: Do you want to?

Lisa sighs

Lisa: No..yes..ugh I don't know..I still love him
Me: If you do he's only gonna hurt you again
Lisa: I know..
Me: And remember the last time he done this. Just randomly came back into your life an you went back to him an then he left an broke your heart all over again
Lisa: Yeah..I know
Me: It's up to you I just don't want you getting hurt again

Lisa smiles

Lisa: I know, thanks
Me: You're welcome
Lisa: I just wish there was nice guys around here
Me: I know same
Lisa: Like the ones you see in movies

We giggle

Me: Yeah totally! We should go on a guy hunt

We giggle again, finish our food and leave.

Me: So what are you gonna do about Jay?

Lisa shrugs

Lisa: I don't know, I wanna see him cause I miss him but I don't wanna get my heart broke again. I just wanna be with a guy in that way again even if it's only for a little while yknow..

Me: Yeah, at least you have that though
Lisa: You'll get a boyfriend really soon and he's gonna be amazing an like the best guy in the world!

She smirks

Me: I hope so
