A U T H O R ' S N O T E

We're finally here! Outsider Syndrome is officially completed!

*cue the applause*

I hoped to finish this book a lot sooner but writing those endings were a lot harder than I thought they'd be ^^; I'm still not sure how I feel about them and this entire story in general but at least I can mark it complete and avoid looking at it for the next few months xD

In case you were wondering, the word count ended up being a whopping 150k,,, I don't know how I did it but I'll probably never finish a book this big this fast again.

Despite its flaws, I learned a lot from writing OS. All the characters were also fun to explore. The romance was possibly too cheesy at times too (my apologies). Although I slacked by not writing my other WIPs, I'm glad I wrote OS anyway.

I sincerely hope those reading enjoyed the story too! I actually have some questions for the sake of my curiosity (and to help me later when I edit) and if you can answer any of them I'd appreciate it so much!

What did you think of the story as a whole?

Were there any parts you found yourself skimming or thought to be boring/slow?

What was your favourite part(s) of the story and why? Least favourite(s) and why?

Who was your favourite character(s) and why?

Favourite ending?

Is there anything in particular you took away from the story?

I technically posted Toru's ending last because I do somewhat think of it as the "true" ending for the book but it's totally up to you guys which ending is canon.

If you have any final questions for me as the author feel free to drop them too ^^

Again, thank you so, so much for reading! It means a whole lot! More than you can ever imagine ❤️

If I ever write another book like OS, I'll tell you all.

Until then maybe check out some of my others if you haven't!

THE HUMANITY CLUB |

Having grown up void of any friends and romance, self-proclaimed otaku, Miyuki Hoshino, is assured that all she needs in her life is anime and manga. Also that surviving without it is next to impossible.

Despite abiding by that ideology for the majority of her life, when Miyuki's homeroom teacher suddenly urges her (more like threatens her) to join a club, the Humanity Club, she is left no other choice but to learn how to put aside her isolated self and interact with the other club members.

But little did she know, simply interacting with them was just the beginning.

A story about the humorous days of a not-so-average otaku and five unusual club members.

With a seventy-one percent delinquent population, her days are filled with tumultuous fear and frightening presences. Upon accidentally sitting on the lap of Ryu Iwasaki, a scary face at her high school, her life takes a dramatic turn. It doesn't help when one of the most infamous delinquents at Akelius, Aki Mitsoyu, sets his sights on her, too...

WELCOME TO HEAVEN |

Kotori Teruhashi burns everything she makes, but that doesn't stop her from dreaming of becoming a famous pastry chef someday. Problem is, her high school's Cooking Club is full of arrogant elitists who won't let her join. Or will she be doomed to give up her aspirations altogether?

Upon meeting four handsome boys, Kotori realizes that she may have some hope after all.

PROJECT CUPID | ONGOING

If there's anything Anri Hinomori loves more than fictional characters, it's drama. By day, she's responsible for the anonymous gossip column for her high school's newspaper, and by night, she blogs extensive, long-winded reviews of every dating game she can get her hands on. There's no boy she can't charm -- through a screen, anyway. When her conviction is put to the test by a random internet troll out to destroy her, Anri finds herself in a sticky situation. Either win the hearts of five (real life) boys of their choosing or have her mortifying secrets leaked one by one to the entire school.

She just has to make these boys fall in love with her. It's totally doable. Right?

And for those who are fine with darker stories:

CRIME GAMES |

What starts off as a harmless pastime unfolds into a malicious game of cat and mouse when a teenage girl is slaughtered in the exact sequence Tadashi Matsumoto and his club members had planned days prior. More than anything, he wants to believe it's a coincidence -- that they're innocent -- though when secrets are revealed and people are harmed, it becomes harder and harder to trust that it is.

One of them killed her.

And it's only a matter of time before more of them turn up dead.
