Chapter 14
"Don't tease me," Liam said with a seductive grin. I went closer to him bringing, my lips to his ear and whispered, "Make me,"
He jolted under me, and I could feel that he was turned on, and that's when I retrieved my lips away from him and turned my attention back to the tv with a shrug.
"Oh, you don't get to escape that easily," he said, pulling me under him. He hovered on top of me and began hungrily sucking on my skin below my neck.
I giggle as my arms travelled to wrap in his hair. "Ah stop, your mom can come any minute," He stopped, looked me dead in the eye and said, "Not today we have the rest of the house to ourselves," his seductive grin returned, and he stared at me as if he was going to devour me. "I want to make you scream my name all day today," his hushed voice sends shivers up my spine.
He places his lips on my mouth, and I grabbed the collar of his shirt, pulling him closer to me. He started to unbutton my shirt slowly and remove my pants, leaving me only with my bra and underwear. I pulled his shirt over his head and began unbuckling his pants. His lips continued to travel my body.
Exploring each and every corner, and I wanted nothing more than to... than to...
RINGGGGGGGG
I jolted up awake on my bed.
Sweaty from such a hot dream. I felt myself scrum as I felt the wetness down under. It all felt so real, and it almost felt like I could feel his lips on me. He was touching me everywhere.
I waited for the guilt and the shame to hit me.
And to have a dreamlike, that I should feel ashamed. But I didn't. I didn't feel one bit of that ashamed feeling of my darkest desire. Yet, I know I should
-
I was jumpy the whole day today. The dream I had this morning continue to replay in my head, and I honestly was having a hard time concentrating on anything.
It was a relief that I haven't seen Liam for almost 3- weeks now. If I had been in the presence of him right now, I wouldn't even know how to function.
After the truth about Noah's death, it should be wrong for me to even think about Liam as much as I do. But it almost felt physically impossible to stop.
"Are you listening?" Sky asked, waving a hand in front of my face. I quickly snapped back to reality.
"Sorry, I zoned out. What did you say?" She sighed and said: "That I hate tomatoes," she pointed at my small container filled with cherry tomatoes. I giggled and picked one up and put it right into my mouth. She cringed next to me. "How can you eat that?"
"They're good for you, Sky," I told her. "Ya, whatever, you can pay me a million dollars, and I would never put that stuff in my mouth," she shrugged her shoulder. I laughed at her rolling my eyes.
"Always so dramatic little sister," Nathan, who appeared out of nowhere, said.
"Oh? Then why don't you eat it?" She snapped back. "Never," he cringed. Sky rolled her eyes and threw a cherry tomato at him. He just gave her the middle finger.
"You guys never stop fighting, do you?" I asked, with a laugh.
"Duh," they both said at the same time. I shook my head.
"Well, unlike the 2 of you, I happen to love these," I said, putting another one in my mouth. They both cringed and gaged.
"Anyways, Nate, are you working tonight?" I asked. Ever since I ran away after seeing Jace, it took me a couple of days to go back.
I continued to be scared that I would see him again. Fortunately for me, my boss was extremely kind and understood the lie I had told her.
Nathan hasn't mentioned it either, and I really appreciate it. I wouldn't know how to begin it either. Nathan has been trying to set us up since the beginning, and beginning to explain the whole situation requires a lot more time and explanation that I wasn't sure I was ready to share.
"Ya. Are you?" He asked. I nodded my head. "Finally, I've been dying of boredom since you have been gone," he said, pushing his glasses in.
"Me too! I can't wait,"
-
This is the 4th time I texted Cassian today, and he still hasn't answered.
I asked him to bring me to their ground, and yet the only thing Cassian said to me was that he would never get me involved.
He didn't say much else that day. I argued with him, asking him how they could hide such a big part and telling him I deserve to go, but once again, Cassian refused and left. I have been trying to text him for the last week, and yet he hasn't replied, and when I call him, it goes straight to voicemail.
Texting and calling Tyler was no use since all he said was to wait until he got home. This was all frustrating to me, and I hated being shut out of their lives.
They were my best friends, and yet they told me nothing.
It made me want to scream as I entered the hospital building. I greeted Nathan, who was already there.
He smiled upon seeing me and said, "finally," "Take this please," he handed me a load of paperwork.
"It's your responsibility now; I'm going to go take a nap," he said, launching back on the office chair we had in our small workroom.
"You must be tired from working day and night," I said, with a sardonic grin.
"Of course," he kicked his feet up onto the desk. I rolled my eyes and moved his feet off the table. "I don't think so you're helping me with this,"
"Butttttt," he wines.
"Come on; it will go faster if we start now," I said, already sorting through the papers.
He took a long heavy breath and began helping. "So, are you ever going to tell me what happened between you and Jace?" He asked, and I could feel my heart drop. Just this morning, I was glad he hadn't asked but now that he was, I was still unsure if I should tell the truth.
"Jace is a good guy, Storm. I've told you that and, he has been asking about you," he told me, revealing me the truth that I was afraid of.
He's a good guy.
That's what Nathan had told me from the beginning, and now, I was unsure if it was true. If any of them were good guys are all mysteries to me. Believing anyone seems impossible now.
Even Noah, the man I loved, lied to me throughout our whole relationship.
But I'm the one to blame for being so clueless. Noah kept coming home with bruises and cuts, and every time he gave me an excuse, I didn't ask any more questions. Even if I did, he would shut me up any way he can. And now my friends are keeping this a secret.
But I wondered, Nathan and Jace are friends, would he know anything about this? But then again, Nathan didn't know Liam and the other guys. Yet, it wouldn't hurt to ask.
"Do you know if Jace is involved in anything?"
"What do you mean?" He asked.
"Like some type of an underground fight club," He looked at me, shocked, his eyes going wide. He looked like he didn't even know what just came out of my mouth.
"A what?" he questioned. "never mind," I said, honestly knowing explaining this would be more complicated because I two don't know much about it.
"No storm. What did you say?" he asked again. I looked over at him, his face covered with curiosity.
I debated again in my head, whether it would be right to tell him. But then I got this brilliant idea that popped into my head.
"I'll tell you everything. But I need your help first," I said. "Anything," he said, looking a bit confused.
"I need your help finding this club," I said.
I knew none of them will ever bring me or show me this place, but I want to know. I need to know.
"Liam told me they were all involved in this club. And we have found a way to be part of it,"
Nathan kept looking at me, still stunned as ever. But he didn't ask any more questions and said: "when do we start?"
