Chapter Forty Two

Hayes' P.O.V.

As soon as we find Lily, we take her to the headquarters. She's still unconscious when we reach the place. Reid carries her in his arms as we ascend the stone stairs.

We barely take a step inside the mansion before Abe is yelling at us.

"How did you manage to lose them! You had one job! One job! And that was to protect them!"

I think he finally realize who Reid is holding because he stops yelling as his eyes falls onto his unconscious daughter.

"Lily." He whispers, caressing her cheeks. He glances up and rage is still in eyes. "Give her to Lucas and you two follow me."

Reid hands over Lily to Lucas, carefully.

"Marie make sure she's okay." Abe orders and she nods.

"Follow me, Mr. Carter."

Abe gesture for us to follow him and we walk silently to his office. And all I can think is: We're going to die.

I have a feeling Reid is thinking the same thing because he nudges me to enter the office first and I glare at him.

"Close the door." Abe says with his back facing us.

Reid slowly shuts the door and stands a little bit behind me. I don't know why he's scared. Lily is here. I'm the one who should be scared.

"What happened?"

"I don't know." I answer.

"What do you mean you don't know?" He says. "My daughters-" He stops. "My daughter is missing and you're telling me you don't know what happened?"

"I'm telling you I don't know what exactly happened. I know that this person is from the inside and he's smart."

Abe nods his head. "He can't be that smart if he thought he can take my daughters and get away with it."

We don't say anything and Abe continues.

"You said he's from the inside?"

"Yes." Reid replies.

"Everyone from the campus is here." He states. "So check who's all here and get back to me."

We leave his office and Reid sighs in relief.

"I really thought he was gonna kill us the whole entire time we were in there."

I ignore him. "We need talk to every person who saw this guy."

"Yeah but everyone who possible saw him is unconscious or having surgery. Lily is our main witness and she's passed out."

"As soon as she wakes up when need to question her." I say.

We walk around until we find Selena with a clipboard in her hand, frowning.

"Selena." I say and she looks up. "We need to know who didn't come on the buses."

"That's going to take a while." She says. "There's over seven hundred names."

Not only did we have high school with us, the lower schools come along with us.

"Then limited it down to high school." Reid suggests.

"I did." She remarks. "It would been easier if their names were in order instead scattered."

"Okay. Let us know when you find out." I say walking away.

"What now?" Reid asks walking beside me.

"As much as I don't want to do to this, we wait until Selena gets back to us or until Lily wakes up."

Neither one of them sounds good to me. I want, need, something to go off of. I need to find her.

Just hang on a little longer, Millie.

We head to the "hospital" side of the mansion and Lily is laying on one of the bed still unconscious. I'm assuming Marie wiped the dirt and make up off her face because her face is cleaned.

She has an IV stuck in her arm and fluids are flowing into her.

Lucas is sitting in the chair beside the bed holding Lily's hand. He glances up when he notices us.

"Did you find out anything?" He asks.

Reid shakes his head. "Not yet. Selena is going through a list of names right now."

Lucas nods before looking down at his girlfriend. "How long do you think she'll be unconscious?"

"I don't think it'll be long." I say. "She's probably wake up soon."

Marie walks in. "You're right. She's wake up in about thirty minutes or so. She's unconscious because of the drugs that in her."

We frown. "Drugs?" We all say in unison.

Marie nods. "Yeah well I run some tests and there's traces of Zenole in her blood system."

Reid raise an eyebrow. "Zenole?" He repeats.

"You're were too young to know this but back on Arysn, Zenole was used to make people unconscious. The more you drank the faster and longer you were unconscious." She explains.

I realize what happened last night. "What if they had alcohol in their system?"

"That's not a good combination. There's a chance of dying" She says but she quickly says the next part when she sees the worry in our eyes. "But there's no need to worry. Yes Lily had alcohol in her but she didn't drink a lot of Zenole. That's why when you found her she went unconscious."

Millie drank a whole cup of alcohol and if Marie it's right about what she said then it explains why Lily made it out instead of both of them. Millie drank more Zenole than Lily.

At least I know she isn't dead.

Ten minutes later, Selena comes in the room with bad news written all over her face.

"What it is? What did you find out?" I ask.

"You're not going to believe this because I don't." She says.

"What?" I urge.

"The only ones who didn't come on the buses are Kyle Ashton and Sophie Cipriano."

My mind can wrap around Kyle not being here but Sophie? Not happening. She has to be here.

"Are you sure?" I ask and she nods her head.

"I'm positive." She hands me the list and leaves. I scan through the list and sure enough Sophie's name isn't marked off.

"It doesn't make any sense." Reid says. "I can see why Kyle might've took Millie but Sophie." He shakes his head. "I can't see her doing this."

"Me either." Lucas agrees.

"That makes three of us." I say putting the list down.

We stay silent as we try to come up with a solution to why Sophie is missing. I don't come up with one single solution. I stop thinking when I hear Lily stirring.

We move closer to her and she slowly opens her eyes. Her eyes moves around the room trying to figure out when she is. Then her eyes widens and she bolts upward.

"Millie." She says in realization. "I have to go get her."

Reid and Lucas pushes her back down on the bed, gently.

"We will." Reid says. "But first we need to know what happened?"

She rolls her eyes. "That little conniving, untrustworthy bitch is what happened?"

Lucas frowns. "Who? Kyle?"

"Oh yeah him too." She says. "But I'm talking about Sophie. I had this feeling not to trust her and now I know why."

"Why? What did she do?" I ask.

"She set this all up. She's the reason why we went missing in the first place. At our party, Daniella wanted me to try the punch and I didn't think nothing of it. I drank it and what do you know, I'm tispy."

"Yeah. We know that." Reid says. "I had to carry you to your room."

"Well" She continues. "I don't know an hour or so past by when Sophie knocked on my door. She told me to follow her and you know there's no way in hell I'd follow her willingly." She says. "I blame on the fact she got me tispy. Anyway we went to Millie's room and she ordered her to follow her too. Then we walked out to the balcony where she made us jumped off of and Kyle caught us."

As she's explaining this, I still can't wrap my mind around it. Why would Sophie intentionally kidnap Lily and Millie with Kyle?

"....we drove to this club and that's where I lost Millie. I don't how I got away. The next thing I know I'm running in the woods then I found you guys."

"I still don't get why Sophie kidnap you guys." Reid says.

"Millie's been getting alot of threatening notes." Lily says.

I frown. "Threatening notes?"

She nods her head. "Oh yeah you don't know about the notes. Well she's been receiving them for a little over a week now. She told me she keeps them in a box beside her bed. I guess that doesn't really help considering we're not at the school. Hey why aren't we at the school?"

"We'll explain later but I think I have the box." I say. "I'll be back."

I leave and head outside to the SUV. I open the door and retrieve the black box and walk back inside.

"Is this the box?" I ask, holding it up.

"Yeah I think so. Open it."

I do and there they are. All the notes she has gotten. I read them and then it hits me.

"I figured out why Kyle is involved. He's angry at Millie for leaving him." I tell them.

"Okay but that still doesn't explain why Sophie is involved." Lucas points out.

We get lost in our thoughts until Lily lets out a gasp and her eyes pops out her face.

"What happened?" Reid asks.

She shakes her head quickly as if she doesn't believe what she saw. Tears fill her eyes.

"Lily what happened?" Reid repeats more firmly.

"I can't tell you. I don't want to tell you." She say, looking at me.

"It's Millie right?" I ask.

When she doesn't say anything, I know I have my answer.

Lucas is confused as he looks back and forth at us.

"What's going on?" He asks.

"There are something we can't tell you." Reid say, still looking at Lily who has her head down.

"My girlfriend is crying. I think I have the right to know." Lucas says.

"You don't understand." Reid replies.

We don't have time to argue. So before Lucas can say anything I beat him.

"We have to tell him." I say.

Reid's head whips in my direction. "What?" He says, surprised.

"We don't have a choice. Obviously Lucas isn't going to leave and Lily isn't going to tell us without him knowing." I point out.

"Selena and Abe aren't going to like this." Reid says.

"They'll get over it. Now tell him."

Reid sighs, heavily. "You know about the siren and seer, right?" He asks and Lucas nods. "Well it so happens that Lily is the seer."

Lucas' eyes widens. "No way."

We all nod our heads.

"It true and she'll probably tell you all about it later but right now, we need to what Lily saw." Reid says.

"Tell us." I say.

"You're gonna get so angry..." She informs me before looking at me. She's still crying. "He's...he's.."

"He's what?" I ask. "What is Kyle doing?"

I prepare for every outcome but I don't prepare for this one.

She swallows. "He's raping her." She finishes.

I don't know how Lucas or Reid reacted to the news but I'm pretty sure their eyes are wide and they're surprised. But every emotions drains from my body and it's replaced with rage.

I ball my hands in fist as I speak through clench teeth.

"I'm going to fucking murder that asshole."

And it isn't a threat but a promise. Reid grabs me.

"Calm down, man."

I shake him off me. "Get off me."

I walk to one of the wall and punch it repeatedly, swearing. I stop when there's a gaint hole.

"Leave and come back when you cool off." Reid tells me.

Wordless, I turn on my heels and walk outside, listing every possible way I can kill Kyle Ashton.
