Helena Woods:

Every breath is strangled, every joint and muscle is aching, head is pounding and the little contents of my stomach that I was hardly able to ingest were threatening to pour out any second.

But out of all those things on my mind the only one that actually caught my attention was:

Just reach the light.

I know I can do this.

Believe in yourself.

There are people depending on me.

I have to survive. I have to outrun, no matter what it takes.

Although Helena Woods missed being just another normal 23 year old, she neither had much of a say nor had choice to go back to what she was just a few weeks ago.

Things were pretty good for her as she was doing her best in her medical training and was just about to complete her internship. In fact, she would have actually grabbed the diploma by now had she not been caught up in the mishap that spread like a plague engulfing anyone and everyone into the dark deadly grip of death.

And now, for her, there was no denying it. She had to take the risk if she wanted the ones she loved to make it out of this.

Being in complete spirit to become a doctor, Helena wanted to come back from the city to her home town, Bridgeville, to help people and do a little social service before completing her post graduation and chasing her dreams too far away from Bridgeville. Not that she wasn't ever going to come back but she decided she would do that, not before learning advance practices in medicine to be able to help her people. No denying that her dreams looked like an unattainable sweet torture now.

The day the virus first broke off, was the day when she took a pledge that she would not let anyone die, unless they were beyond help.

But 5 years of practice in medicine sure didn't help her on the field when she had to fight or flee the undeniable nuisance.

But as it is said... People learn from practice and experience,... Well so did she, through regurous practice regimes and unforgettable nightmare worth experiences. Everyday, she woke up with just one thought,

'I have to survive one more day, I need to survive one more night. I have to help who can be helped and destroy the ones who mean harm; whether it be friends or enemies. '

Kevin Smith a 25 year old guy and a volunteer, just like Helena, who's trying his best to save as many people as he can.
