Outline 6 | Real Life Airport Reunion Template

This is from a story I am working on in my drafts titled: 'Childhood'

After celebrating a joyful and simple Christmas and an exciteful, yet annoying, New Year's, Caitlin was ecstatic to go visit her many friends in Los Angeles, especially after seeing Tom kiss Tara passionately when the clock struck midnight on New Year's Eve. Usually, Caitlin would spend New Year's at the Holland house when they hosted their annual New Year's party, and she would normally fall asleep on the couch with Harrison on the other end and they would wake up to the smell of pancakes being made by Nikki. However, Caitlin felt like such a disappointment and joke after thinking that Tom could ever return her feelings that she stayed outside with Paddy the entire night and played endless games of catch and kickball while competing with Sam and Harry to see who was the fastest. She did stay the night and found herself on the living room floor with Paddy curled in a ball on the couch and Harry wrapped in a blanket that he no doubt stole from Caitlin in the midst of her sleep.

All in all, it was a busy evening, and the days following were a bit bland. Tara had gone back to New York for meetings with her agents, and the gang had begun packing their things for LA.

The day they were leaving was one that Harrison would never forget. It wasn't even three in the morning when Caitlin had pounced on his back and made him carry her all the way to the terminal to board their flight. It seemed that she had fallen asleep on him that Tom had to pry her off and lay her awkwardly on a chair while they waited two long hours till boarding. To say the least, Harrison was both exhausted, yet joyous that his 'sister' was at her happiest. She hadn't stopped talking about seeing Zendaya, Paris, and Logan again, even possibly seeing Olivia Holt and several other Disney stars that she was close to.

And after fifteen hours of layovers and boring plane rides, they had reached LA just in time for dinner. Everyone was ready to consume real food and not that of what the airline called breakfast, which was a biscuit with a plastic box of jelly. Harry could physically hear his stomach growling, and he had eaten Caitlin's biscuit so she should've been the hungriest of them all.

But she wasn't. The girl was more anxious to see her friends again than anything else. So as the group of four wandered into baggage claim after a dreadful line in customs, Logan Ortega and Zendaya were patiently waiting with fans of all ages keeping them comfortable. Tom talked with Harrison while walking into the mob of fans, and Caitlin was behind them with Harry talking about the great weather and how they needed to take off their winter coats and put them in their bags before stepping into the warm air.

Their conversations were stopped, however, when the same fans taking selfies with Zendaya and Logan saw Caitlin and Tom, and immediately rushed over with their front-facing cameras ready to snap quickly. There was even paparazzi outside, their cameras pointed at the windows and their flashing going off every second to catch pictures of the Disney star and Spider-Man actor.

Nonetheless, Caitlin snapped a few photos with some kids, signed some notepads, but then looked up and saw Zendaya and Logan. She squealed and rushed to the two, Zendaya holding out her arms. She leaped into Zendaya's arms and laughed when the girl was actually able to hold her ground and not fall over. The hug was graciously returned and for a long moment, the girls didn't let go of each other, just kept smiling and rocking back and forth. From where the now group of three was walking, Tom rolled his eyes and huffed a breath of air in annoyance, "Apparently when your life is Disney, you become sisters, but with Marvel, you only grow to hate each other." Harrison laughed at his friend's comment and slung an arm over his shoulder, watching Caitlin with a proud smile, "Don't fool yourself, Tom. It isn't only Marvel."

While Tom was left to glare at Harrison, Caitlin moved on to hug Logan. The boy spun her around and lifted her off the ground about five inches. The two had grown closer than anyone on the Lab Rats set, which was surprising because when they had first met, they couldn't stand one another. But after finishing filming for the first episode, they realized that they were actually could stand each other and became two peas in a pod. So it was no shock when they had stayed in a tight embrace for a single minute before pulling away and letting the others get their 'bro' hugs in.

The six friends could have stayed in the airport talking for hours if not for the loud announcement that the baggage belt was moving, and the fact that Logan had asked the simple words of: "So, what do you guys want to eat?"

•••

After a scrumptious meal and lots of laughter, Zendaya had departed back home and Logan was driving the gang back to his spacious town-home for the rest of their stay. It had been a fun dinner and everyone shared stories about their first acting, modeling, or photoshoot gigs, which some of which were very embarrassing. Caitlin and Logan even had to share the most embarrassing and disgusting scene that they shot in Lab Rats, which was hard to choose because a lot happened.

It was nearly nine at night when the group was driving home and the street-lights made for a relaxing ride. The sky was dark and the only sounds were the passing cars on the highway, causing Harry, Tom, and Harrison to be tired and looking out the window to just observe the streets.

Caitlin, however, was not tired in the least. She was chatting softly with Logan about things she had missed and plans they were making, and the three in the back were listening closely while at the same time, staying quiet.

They had already established that Tom was going shopping with Zendaya tomorrow to find late Christmas gifts for who knows, and Harry and Harrison had no plans yet so Logan was considering having a beach day if everyone was up for it.

Neither Caitlin nor Logan had brought up their auditions for possible roles in Transformers 7 and Marvel: Black Knight until Logan mentioned that one of their colleagues at Disney had scored a big-time role. He asked, "Hey, did you hear the news?"

Caitlin glanced at him and shook her head, "I hear lots of news, could you be more specific?" she wondered. He grinned and kept one hand on the wheel while resting the other on the armrest, "Dove got a part with Agents of SHIELD. She revealed it a couple months back."

"She got a role with Marvel? I didn't hear that, I must've missed the post," Caitlin excused with a slight frown. "Doesn't it seem like everyone is moving on to greater things and we're still stuck in the back?"

Logan pursed his lips and shrugged his shoulders while thinking of ways to deny it. After a moment's thought, he sighed, "I don't see it that way. Like, Olivia, she hasn't gotten any major roles lately."

"She has a music career, or a start of one," Caitlin argued. "Okay, what about Paris?" he continued, ready to list their friend's out as evidence. "She texted me some months back about not even auditioning for roles, she's out doing gymnastics again," Caitlin explained.

Logan hummed and hesitated, "Chin-- nevermind, she has Black Lightning," he sighed in annoyance. "And Daya just had Spider-Man and Greatest Showman," he added to himself. In the back of the vehicle, Tom narrowed his eyes at Caitlin, knowing she was thinking low of her own acting skills. "Hey, what if this is it for us?" she questioned to her best friend who directed his eyes to her for a second. "Don't think like that. Besides, you have an audition next month."

At the mention of an audition, Tom grew confused. He hadn't heard her mention such a thing, and it's something he would remember. He began to wonder that his best friend wasn't telling him everything like she used to.

"That audition probably isn't going to work out," she admitted. Logan instantly shook his head and looked at her, "You'll do great. I'll even help you with your tape and you can help me with mine for Transformers," he suggested with a smile. Caitlin smirked, "You know what would be fun? Working together again. The movie needs a male lead, audition with me," she pleaded, her puppy dug eyes making Logan give in as soon as he saw them. "Send me the information, I'll look into it."

Caitlin cheered and assured him she would send the information in the morning after stealing his wi-fi.

After sharing a laugh, Logan looked over at the girl who was humming to the tune playing from the radio. Raising an eyebrow he asked, "Now that you mention this whole Disney charade, this is the first role you've had an audition for in, like, two years. What are your agents even doing?"

Caitlin shrugged, "It's not my agents, it's more me. I take Paddy to school and home every day to help out Nikki and Dom. And sure, that doesn't take a while, but I've been helping mum more and more, and then traveling the world for Tom's press conferences and filming," she explained.

"What's up with your mom?"

"She's had a fever for a few weeks, and the doctor says it will pass soon."

"A fever for weeks? Did the doctors tell you that or your mom?"

"My mum, why? You think she's lying?"

"No, but fevers don't last for weeks at a time. Maybe something else is going on."

With a concerned look on her face, Caitlin stared straight ahead out the window, "Well, now I'm worried," she frowned. Logan offered her a light smile and placed his hand atop of her's, "Don't be, I'm sure she's fine. Besides, someone is looking after her while you're here, right?"

"Yeah, Nikki said she would go over every couple days. I said I would call her in the morning."

"Then she'll be fine. It's going to work out. Meanwhile, we should start working on these audition tapes," he recommended. Caitlin groaned, "But I'm here for a vacation!"
