Hoseok and Jimin sat on the bench they usually chatted in while waiting for Yoongi to get out of class.

Only this time, Yoongi was back in the dorms.

The brunet texted Jimin, asking if he had time to spare— he wanted to say a few things. The younger agreed which led them to the park. Hoseok told Yoongi beforehand so he already knew about it.

"Sorry if I'm disturbing you, I just wanted to talk." Hoseok apologized, feeling awkward around the male unlike before.

"No worries. It's a Saturday, I have no plans for the afternoon." Jimin assured, wrapping his arms around his own torso in a hug-like manner. "I needed to talk to you anyway."

The older nodded. "I'll let you go first."

Jimin did the same, sighing nervously before speaking. "Yoongi told me about what you told him— how you took care of me last year while I was drunk. I don't remember it— I was probably too intoxicated— but thank you. I don't see you as more than a friend... no offense.. but I appreciate that you genuinely liked me unlike everyone else. At least now I know it's possible for me to find someone that actually cares."

Hoseok smiled softly while the other continued. "And I'm sorry for throwing myself at you that night at the bar. I was emotional and drunk— I didn't know what I was doing. It's not an excuse for what I did but know that I'm sorry."

Once Jimin was done, the brunet reached his hand up, patting the younger's shoulder. "Don't be so hard on yourself, I'm partly to blame too. I should've pushed you away sooner but I didn't and now I'm dealing with the consequences for it." He laughed sadly.

Hoseok wasn't complaining though. If the kiss didn't happen, then his ego probably would've never let him come clean. In a way, he was thankful because he was given the opportunity to a fresh start. No lies. No acting. No underlying intentions.

He wanted to be with Yoongi and he wanted to shower the older with all the love and appreciation he failed to show the first time.

"Anyways," the brunet continued. "I figured Yoongi told you about it so that's why I wanted to talk to you. I wanted to remind you that you're more than just a face and body. My feelings for you may be gone but I'd like to think that you're still one of my good friends. I don't want you beating yourself up and restricting yourself from potentially finding a good guy.

"You immediately reject any admirer that finds the courage to come up to you. Maybe you should lower your standards a little and loosen up. Not everyone's an outlet to heartbreak. Just let the right person come to you."

Jimin's eyes watered, nodding. His hands flew up, trying to fan his tears away while a soft giggle escaped his lips. "G-God, I'm such a crybaby."

The older laughed, pulling the blonde in a comforting hug.

"Thanks, Hoseok." Jimin mumbled against the said male's shoulder. "I'm sorry I never liked you the way you wanted but I'm wishing you luck. I hope you fix things with Yoongi, I know how much you regret your actions."

Hoseok sighed. "I do... I really do."

4 Months Later

"Large vanilla latte for you." Hoseok handed the drink to the mint head, plopping himself back on the driver's seat. "And a medium iced white chocolate mocha for me." He placed his own in the cupholder next to his steering wheel.

Yoongi thanked him, smiling when he noticing how the younger memorized his coffee order.

Oh how the tables have evened.

They were taking a break from the road, stopping by a coffee shop to get drinks for the drive. Hoseok had insisted— no— begged the older to spend the first half of summer break at his place. The brunet used the excuse that Jiwoo and his mom wanted to see him again— which wasn't a lie— but he really just wanted to spend more time with Yoongi.

The mint head eventually gave in, it wasn't like he wanted to go home anyway. He would've gone with Jimin but his best friend was already bringing his new boyfriend with him.

They met three months ago, the blonde actually taking Hoseok's advice and stopping himself from straight up rejecting the guy. It was the best decision he had ever made. Jackson was the sweetest boyfriend anyone could ever ask for.

=====

Hoseok and Yoongi were happy for their friend.

Though the brunet couldn't help but feel a little bummed. There Jimin was, finding the right guy sooner than he thought, while Hoseok felt like he was making no progress with Yoongi.

Throughout the last few months, the younger would wait outside of the mint head's classes with his usual coffee order, spend the weekends and any free time he had with him, and take him out on little dates— that Hoseok called 'hang outs' because he didn't want to scare the older away with the word 'date'.

They've gotten way closer through late night talks and overall getting to know each other.

Yet Hoseok still felt stuck.

He never asked Yoongi out— he wanted to wait for the mint head to bring it up first. Hoseok was too scared to even engage in any type of skinship with the smaller male because 'that might make Yoongi uncomfortable' and 'what if Yoongi doesn't want that?'

But if Yoongi wanted nothing more than friendship, then the brunet would still be thankful to even have the opportunity to be part of the older's life.

"Oh, by the way," Hoseok spoke up, pulling the car out of the parking lot to head back to their original route. "My cousin usually visits from time to time during summer break. She's pretty loud and energetic. But don't mind her, I'll tell her in advance that I'm having a friend over—"

"A friend? You're introducing me as a friend?" Yoongi questioned.

Confusion contoured the younger's features, eyes focused on the road. "Well we're— we're friends... aren't we?" He asked cautiously, feeling like he's missing something.

"Why not introduce me as your boyfriend?"

Hoseok would've slammed the breaks if there wasn't a car behind him.

"W-what? Are you— are you saying what I think you're saying?" His tone was hopeful, praying to whatever god that he wasn't just hearing things.

The older giggled at the brunet's shocked expression.

"I love you, Seokie, and these past few months have proven that you love me too. I wanna be with you again." A soft blush tinted Yoongi's cheeks and he was glad the younger couldn't see.

The brunet couldn't contain the wide, child-like smile taking over his features.

In the end, Hoseok Jung introduced Yoongi Min as his boyfriend.

THE END.

I finished this book in exactly a month 🐷

But yes, that's the end of it. Thank you for all the love you've shown me and all the death threats you've made towards OTH Hoseok LMAO

I do want to apologize because I personally feel like I halfassed the rest of the plot after Chapter 16. I started stressing out over how to get you guys to like Hoseok again because I didn't realize just how much he had to redeem himself. I literally felt like crying when most of you guys still disliked him (judging from your comments) last chapter. I don't think I did a very good job with ending the plot and I'm very disappointed in myself but I still hope you enjoyed the book <3

Check out my other books if you haven't already!

The bonus chapter will be out tomorrow :) Smuttie smut smut >:)
