Chapter 2

Wooyoung couldn't sleep. It's been 3 days since he and Yeosang went and watched the fighting and yet for some reason his mind was drifting back to Lynx. He and Yeosang had stayed and watched the next fight where the Bear beat Strife. It was good to watch but Wooyoung still felt like he was entranced by Lynx. The way he fought, the precision and the quickness in his movements was amazing. He was embarrassed by their encounter, having not thought it through properly. Lynx most definitely thinks he's some sort of invasive investor and will most likely try to steer clear of him from now on. Wooyoung groaned and thumped his head back on his pillow, trying to will himself to sleep. It didn't work however so he turned over and glanced at the clock on his bedside table. It read 2:15am. He groaned again in frustration before giving up. He sat up and shrugged off his covers, slipping out of bed. The air was cold out of the comfort of his blankets but he continued forwards in determination. He left his room and crossed the penthouse to the other bedroom, opening the door and slipping inside. He glanced towards the bed, seeing Yeosang sprawled out and sleeping peacefully. He felt slightly bad but at the same time he knew Yeosang wouldn't mind. He walked over to the bed and pulled back the covers, slipping in gently. He tried his best not to wake Yeosang but it was useless as Yeosang stirred almost instantly.

"Woo," he rasped, his voice thick with sleep.

"Yeah, sorry. Go back to sleep," Wooyoung whispered. Yeosang sighed and shuffled over to one side of the bed, opening his arms for Wooyoung to snuggle into.

"You ok," Yeosang asked softly.

"I'm fine. Just couldn't sleep so I thought I'd come here," Wooyoung replied. Yeosang hummed lightly and moved his hand to run through Wooyoung's hair. Wooyoung sighed in satisfaction, relaxing into Yeosang's body.

"Get some sleep Youngie," Yeosang mumbled. They went quiet for a few minutes before Wooyoung got a sudden thought.

"Hey Sangie, he whispered, receiving a grunt in reply from the older.

"Can we go back to the ring again sometime," he asked.

"O'course, whatever you want. But sleep now," Yeosang said. Wooyoung smiled happily himself and cuddled closer to Yeosang, his head buried into his chest ad his arms encircling his waste. He found himself finally able to drift off to sleep in Yeosang's embrace.

~~~~~
"Woo, it's time to wake up." Wooyoung woke up to the gentle shaking and peeled his eyes open to see Yeosang glancing down at him where he was snuggled to his chest.
"I'm sorry, I know you didn't sleep much last night so I tried to let you cuddle as long as I could but I have an appointment in an hour so I need you to get up," Yeosang said.
"You can go back to sleep again though, I just need to get out of bed," Yeosang said. Wooyoung nodded tiredly and shifted so Yeosang could get out before rolling back over into the warmth Yeosang left and snuggling down.
"Get some more sleep," Yeosang whispered, pressing a soft kiss to the side of the youngers head. Wooyoung struggled to keep his eyes open and they slipped back closed quickly, sending him off to sleep once again.
~~~~~

When Wooyoung next awoke, he was still alone in the room and the penthouse was quiet. He yawned and sat up, wiping his eyes to get rid of the sleep in them. His schedule for the day was completely empty so he took his time getting up and making some breakfast before sitting down at the table with his plate of bacon and eggs, pulling out his phone. He decided to do some investigating, opening up Facebook. He wasn't sure what Lynx's name was but Hongjoong mentioned they were close he searched up Hongjoong's name. He scrolled through a few profiles before finally finding the one with a familiar blue haired male. He clicked on the profile and begun scrolling through the photos but making sure not to accidentally like any photos. There were quite a few photos on his account but none with Lynx. He continued scrolling for a few minutes, about to give up when a photo suddenly caught his eyes. It was from four years ago and it was a photo of a young Hongjoong and what looked like a young Lynx. Lynx looked the same with his facial features but his body had changed quite a bit over the years. The Lynx in the photo was a bit smaller, more scrawny in a way. Wooyoung glanced at the caption for answers but there wasn't much, just Hongjoong wishing his little brother a happy 18th birthday. Wooyoung sighed and locked his phone, giving up on searching. He'll just have to wait until he next goes to the ring. He grabbed his plate and continued eating slowly.

It was quiet for about 5 more minutes before the door opened and Yeosang walked inside.

"Morning sleepyhead. Or should I say afternoon," Yeosang said as he shrugged off his blazer and untucked his shirt.

"How was the meeting," Wooyoung asked, ignoring Yeosang's previous statement.

"It was good. Dad was just showing us the newest clothing line that's going to be released in the next weeks," Yeosang said as he tugged off his tie. He breathed a sigh of relief, reaching his arms over his head to stretch his muscles. Wooyoung grinned as Yeosang's shirt rode up and his hand darted out quickly, poking his stomach and making him yelp.

"You asshole," Yeosang said as he Wooyoung giggled.

"You're lucky you're my best friend or else I would have backhanded you," Yeosang grumbled.

"You wound me," Wooyoung said in faux sadness while Yeosang just rolled his eyes.

"You planning on doing anything for the rest of the day or are you just going to stay in your pj's," Yeosang asked.

"I want to go to the ring tonight," Wooyoung said and Yeosang frowned.

"I can't go. Mum and dad want me over for dinner," he said with a sigh.

"Oh. Can I go by myself though," Wooyoung asked. He could wait for Yeosang but he's far too eager to watch the fights again.

"I mean yeah. You're a grown ass man Woo, you don't need to ask for my permission," Yeosang said.

"I didn't mean it like that idiot. I don't know if I would be allowed in without you. I don't know how this works," Wooyoung said, rolling his eyes.

"You just go where I showed you and tell the bouncer the password which will still be Wonderland," Yeosang explained.

"Ok. I might go and have a look later," Wooyoung said. He'll definitely have a look later.

"Alright, well I'm gonna go have a shower. Go get dressed, it's already almost 2 Youngie," Yeosang said, patting the youngers hair softly. Wooyoung pouted but knew Yeosang was right.

"I might get changed and head down to the gym," Wooyoung said.

"In that case, I'll do the same and join you," Yeosang said, not wanting to miss the chance to get a good workout in. Wooyoung nodded and the two of the quickly went to get dressed.

~~~~~
"Hey Woo, I'm gonna head off now, are you all good with where to go and what to do," Yeosang called out. He had teased him earlier but deep down he always wants to make sure Wooyoung is ok.
"Yeah I'm good. Could you just help me with this though please," Wooyoung asked as he walked out of his room and over to Yeosang. Yeosang nodded and stepped up, grabbing the tie from around the youngers neck and tying it quickly.
"Make sure you update me on the fights and stay out of trouble," Yeosang said as he tightened the tie.
"Will do. Enjoy your boring dinner," Wooyoung replied with a grin, making Yeosang chuckle. He waved goodbye before exiting the penthouse, leaving Wooyoung alone. Wooyoung didn't wait long however, going back to his room to get ready before putting on his shoes. After that, he quickly left and took the elevator down to the ground floor.
"Afternoon Natalia," he said, nodding to the receptionist whose head snapped up quickly.
"Good afternoon Mr Jung. Are you heading out for the night," she asked.
"Yeah, I had a lazy day today so I thought I should actually go and get some fresh air," Wooyoung replied with a chuckle.
"Well I hope you enjoy your night," she said. He nodded and walked outside, breathing in the air. He wasn't lying when he said he could do with some fresh air. Wooyoung and Yeosang both technically have their own on call drivers but the two of them mainly use Anthony, Yeosang's driver. Given that Yeosang was going to his parents, he would have been driven by Anthony. Wooyoung pondered for a minute whether he should call his driver but ultimately decided he could just walk. The hotel is in the middle of the city so the entrance to the ring was only a 20 minute walk, the two best friends having walked home last time. It was just after 6pm so the sun was beginning to go down, painting the skies with colour. Wooyoung walked at a slow pace, wanting to enjoy the walk as he observed the sun going down. It took him about 30 minutes to get to the last set of streets. He turned down the alley and immediately noticed the three people halfway down it but didn't think much of it. He continued walking towards the end of the alley however he stopped when two of the boys stepped in front of him.
"Oh, hi," he said, unsure what they were doing.
"You look like a rich boy," one of them said. They reached their hand out towards him but he flinched back uncomfortably. He was beginning to realise what the situation could be and was trying not to panic.
"Hey, isn't he that Jung kid. His parents own all of those hotels," the one off to the side said. Well, shit.
"Yeah, I recognise you from TV. He's rich, rich," the first one said, a sinister grin stretching across his face. Wooyoung's stomach dropped and fear shot through him. He's all alone in a dodgy alley at night with 3 guys who most definitely want to rob him.
"I um, l can, I can give you money if that's what you want," he stammered out. They had begun to stalk forwards and he instinctively moved back with them.
"Hmm, we might want more," the one on the side chuckled. Wooyoung was just about to scream for help when his arm was suddenly grabbed from behind and he was yanked backwards, an arm flying past him and punching the closest person in the face. Wooyoung stumbled slightly before catching himself, looking over to see someone in a black hoodie and pants standing in front of him protectively, facing the three boys, one of which was holding his nose while he bled. Wooyoung quickly stepped further behind the person, not knowing who it was but wanting the protection. Needing the protection.
"Bro what the fuck. You're in for it now," one of the boys spat venomously. He went to lunge forwards but the other non-injured one grabbed him and yanked him back.
"Dude, do you have any idea who that is? That's Lynx, he'll kick all of our arses. Let's go, it's not worth it," the other said. Wooyoung perked up at the name and immediately knew he was safe. From what he saw in the fight, Lynx could more than handle himself. The three boys were quick to give up, running past and disappearing down the street.
"Are you ok-Oh, it's you," Lynx said as he turned. It was dark but Wooyoung was still able to notice the way the fighters eyes narrowed when he saw him despite the original concern in his voice. He immediately felt nervous, unsure what to do when it was clear Lynx was so wary of him and not too happy.
"Uh, th-thank you," he stuttered out quickly. The fighter didn't reply, just looked him up and down before turning and continuing to the end of the alley. Wooyoung just remained where he was and decided to go later so as to not annoy Lynx more. He winced nervously when the other suddenly stopped at the end of the alley and turned to him.
"You heading to the ring," he asked, a bit of an edge to his voice. Wooyoung unsure whether he was going to try to have him kicked out.
"Hurry up then," he said. Wooyoung was surprised and slightly confused but his legs carried him over anyway. He followed Lynx as he went left and over to the man outside.
"It's Lynx, this one's all good," he said. The man nodded and stepped to the side but Lynx didn't move yet.
"Next time I would advise you to intervene. You don't want anything happening near here otherwise the police will investigate and I highly doubt your boss would be too happy about that," he said, a hint of anger in his voice. Wooyoung glanced at the guard, noticing he didn't seem confused as to what Lynx was talking about and realised he knew what was happening but didn't care or think to help. If Lynx wasn't there then Wooyoung would've been robbed or worse. Wooyoung shivered slightly and followed Lynx inside quickly. Lynx stopped and grabbed Wooyoung's wrist to stop him. Wooyoung froze and glanced up at him quickly.
"I get that you're rich, we all do. But there is no need to flaunt it. If you're going to do it then whatever, it's your choice but don't be stupid and walk alone at night in a dangerous neighbourhood. There isn't always going to be someone there to save you Wooyoung," he said quietly before letting him go and walking off. Wooyoung remained where he was for a sew seconds, stunned, watching Lynx go through the door at the back of the room. He sighed and glanced around, seeing that Hongjoong was bartending so he walked over. Hongjoong noticed him almost immediately and made his way over.
"I was wondering if I would be seeing you again. No Yeosang today," he asked.
"Nah, he had a dinner," Wooyoung replied with a shrug, receiving a hum of reply from Hongjoong.
"I have a question," Wooyoung said slowly after a few seconds, making Hongjoong glance up and smile.
"He doesn't like me telling people personal things about him and I'm not keen on it either so I'm sorry but my lips are sealed," Hongjoong said.
"No that's ok, but um. He, he thinks I'm a creep, doesn't he," Wooyoung said, making Hongjoong chuckle. Wooyoung groaned, frustrated that he made that bad of a first impression.
"I wasn't being a creep though. I was just trying to say congratulations but I thought someone was hurt so I ran over to check. I wasn't trying to be creepy," Wooyoung said sadly. Hongjoong regarded him for a few seconds before sighing.
"Look, I wouldn't take it personal. S-Lynx doesn't trust anyone he doesn't know so he was never going to like you. I appreciate you not being a creep though. There are far too many people who have approached him thinking they can pay him to do whatever they want," Hongjoong said with a frown. Wooyoung frowned at that as well, not liking the idea of people being exploited for money.
"I find people doing that revolting," he said.
"As do I. It's worse because some fighters don't have much and will do anything for money and they know that," Hongjoong said. Wooyoung found that horrible.
"Can't they just donate like normal people and not expect anything in return," he said.
"It's rare here but sometimes there are people decent enough to do that. Yeosang's actually one of those people," Hongjoong said. Wooyoung was surprised at this new information.
"He donates to Lynx," he asked.
"God no, Lynx wouldn't accept donations anyway so don't bother trying. He sometimes makes a donation to one of the other fighters. I believe you watched him last time, Bear," Hongjoong explained. Wooyoung wondered why Lynx wouldn't even accept donations but he knew. Hongjoong wouldn't tell him so he didn't bother asking. He thought back to watching Bear's fight a few days ago, trying to remember if Yeosang had shown any sort of extra interest but nothing came to mind.
"Noted. So who is fighting tonight," he asked.
"You going to the main events or the other ones," Hongjoong asked.
"Uh, the main ones," Wooyoung replied.
"So the first fight is Pyke vs Jaguar who you won't know, then it's Lynx vs Marvel and the last of the night is Bourke vs Hawke. If you are thinking of staying for all three, I suggest you don't. Everyone leaves after the last fight and given that you're alone, it could be pretty dangerous," Hongjoong said. Wooyoung thought back to earlier and winced.
"Yeah, I'll leave after the second," he said with a nod.
"Thank you," he added quickly.
"No problem. Now, do you want any drinks or are you just gonna go watch? First fight is in about 20 minutes," Hongjoong said.
"I might just go straight in," Wooyoung replied. Hongjoong smiled softly and nodded, not seeming at all disappointed that he wasn't buying anything. It was with that, that a thought popped into his head.
"Hey, do you bartenders take tips," he asked. Hongjoong looked puzzled but nodded.
"We do but no one really tips. Besides you haven't bought anything so there's no need and you certainly aren't obligated to tip," Hongjoong replied. Wooyoung nodded before grabbing his wallet and pulling out the largest note he had there which was a $50 note and he placed it on the bench. Hongjoong's eyes widened and shook his head.
"Wooyoung I haven't done anything, I don't deserve that," Hongjoong said. That further proved to Wooyoung that he did indeed deserve it.
"You were looking out for me and I appreciate that. Plus you're nice and you're helpful. I'm not taking it back," he said firmly. Hongjoong didn't say anything but slowly grabbed the note, his eyes looking a bit misty.
"Thank you, I really appreciate it. You don't know how much this will help me," Hongjoong said, taking a step back and bowing 90 degrees. Wooyoung was caught off guard, not expecting someone to be so thankful over $50. It made him rethink the privilege he and Yeosang have.
"Of course you deserve it," he said quickly.
"I'm gonna, I'm gonna go serve those people over there," Hongjoong said quickly, his hands wiping his eyes as he walked off. Wooyoung was still shocked from the interaction but he walked to the back and went through the door. He paused as the door closed, thinking about Hongjoong's reaction. $50 to him was nothing, he's spent 10 times that in a shopping trip once. Yet Hongjoong, he made it seem like it was the kindest thing in the world. He wasn't really sure how he felt about that so he decided to push it to the back of his mind. For now he's just going to focus on having some fun while watching some fights. He followed the path he and Yeosang took last time, sitting down in a seat in the stands.
"Attention Ladies and Gentleman, the fight featuring Pyke and Jaguar will be commencing in 15 minutes. All bets and bidding will be closing in 10 minutes so make sure to get in quick." Wooyoung still felt uncomfortable hearing about the bidding but he knows there's nothing he can do about it. His phone buzzed in his pocket so he pulled it out, checking and finding a message from Yeosang.
My World: I hope you're having fun cos I'm so bored right now
Annoying Brat: I'm having the time of my life
My World: I hate you
Wooyoung giggled at his friends suffering.
Annoying Brat: I love you too <3
My World: Who are the main fights tonight?
Annoying Brat: Pyke vs Jaguar, Lynx vs Marvel and I can't remember the other fight but I'm not staying for it anyway. Hongjoong said that because I'm alone it's safer to go earlier.
Yeosang didn't text back, instead Wooyoung received an incoming call from him and answered quickly.
"That's true. I'm not supposed to be getting home until 1am but if you're worried you might be in danger, I can leave and come make sure you get home safely," Yeosang said, concern evident in his voice. Wooyoung smiled softly at his best friends protectiveness.
"I'll be fine Sangie, you just enjoy your lovely family gathering," he said, failing to hold back his giggle.
"You're horrible. But stay safe, you've got me worried now. Can you message me when you leave and when you're home safe," Yeosang asked. Wooyoung dropped his joking attitude, knowing Yeosang was quite concerned.
"Yeah, I promise. I'll be safe ok," he said. He heard Yeosang sigh on the other end of the phone and felt bad for stressing him.
"I didn't even bother to think it would be dangerous," Yeosang muttered on the other end of the line.
"Stop stressing Sang, I'm fine," Wooyoung said, wincing slightly at the lie as he remembered his earlier encounter. He can tell Yeosang later, no need to stress him out now over nothing. Well, what thankfully ended up being nothing in the end, thanks to Lynx.
"Ok, just don't forget to call. I've gotta go now," Yeosang said.
"Okie, dokie. Bye Sang," Wooyoung said, blowing a kiss and hearing the line disconnect immediately. He chuckled to himself.
"Ladies and Gentleman there's only 10 minutes before the fight between Pyke and Jaguar begins. Make sure you get in with your bets and bids as they will be closing in 5 minutes."
~~~~~

Wooyoung ended up just scrolling through his phone until the first fight begun before putting it down to watch. The fight ended up going for a good 45 minutes, having to have a break in between. Pyke ended up winning and while the fight was good to watch, it was nowhere near as exhilarating as the two fights the other night. He went back on his phone until he heard familiar words.

"Now introducing a fan favourite. It's Lynx everyone." He looked up quickly, seeing Lynx walking into the ring. He was wearing an outfit pretty much the same as last time, except the white shirt had long sleeves. It was a tight-fitting shirt, meaning it showed how defined his muscles were and Wooyoung was surprised to see how broad his shoulders really were. Just like last time Lynx walked around fixing his gear and bowing to the audience. When Lynx got to the corner of the ring, he did a few stretches however he seemed to be looking around the arena. Wooyoung was confused and wondered what he was looking for when their eyes suddenly met and Lynx stopped looking. Wooyoung froze, unsure what to do but Lynx just smirked and looked away once again. Wooyoung blinked quickly and shook his head, wondering if perhaps he had imagined what just happened. His eyes remained fixated as he stretched.

"Alright Ladies and Gentleman, the fight will be commencing in a minute." Lynx and Marvel both stepped up to the middle of the ring, facing each other. When the bell rang, Lynx wasted no time before swinging his arm forwards and punching Marvel in the face. Marvel was definitely not as quick as Lynx so he wasn't quick enough to dodge. Lynx got 3 hits in before Marvel swung at him. It seemed effortless the way Lynx slid back and moved out of the way, not even getting touched. It was clear to Wooyoung that Lynx was a far more experienced fighter than Marvel. The fight continued on the same, Lynx landing multiple hits before Marvel couldn't touch him. Wooyoung was once again completely mesmerized. By this time Marvel's face was bruised and bloody, no doubt with bruises on his torso as well, while Lynx was still untouched. Wooyoung was a bit confused as he could tell Lynx could end this fight quickly but he didn't seem to be trying to end it just yet. It was about 20 minutes in when the final knockout blow was taken. Lynx punched Marvel in the stomach, making him double over before he swung a massive uppercut, catching Marvel in the chin and making him fall to the ground, out cold. The arena erupted into cheers and Wooyoung found himself cheering and clapping happily as well. Lynx immediately bowed and once again a man with a microphone walked into the ring, grabbing Lynx's wrist.

"Our winner, Lynx," he announced, the cheers getting louder. Lynx bowed one last time before leaving, Marvel being dragged out as well.

"What an intense fight. Bids and bets are now open for the Bourke and Hawke fight." Wooyoung decided now would be the best time for him to get going. He exited the arena and went into the hall, deciding to quickly go to the toilet. Once he was done, he washed his hands and went to head towards the other end of the hall when a voice called out.

"Oi, Fairy." Wooyoung turned around in curiosity, wondering who it was and who they were talking to. His eyes landed on Lynx who was walking down the hall, wearing the black hoodie he came to the ring in. Wooyoung was surprised at how quickly he got ready after the fight. He glanced up and down the halls to see if Lynx was talking to someone else but it was only the two of them.

"Your hair is lavender. It's weird but it reminds me of a fairy," Lynx said. Wooyoung was too shocked to reply, unsure why Lynx was suddenly being nice to him.

"Look, I still think you're a rich asshole who is most likely going to get yourself into trouble. Joong told me about your tip and while I hate receiving money for personal favours, you helped Hongjoong and so I will repay the favour," Lynx said.

"Uh, ok, I guess. I mean you just insulted me but I guess I'll let it go. Also didn't you save me from getting robbed? Shouldn't that technically count as your favour to me," Wooyoung pointed out. Lynx seemed puzzled, his eyes scanning Wooyoung up and down. He opened his mouth before closing it again and huffing.

"Are you leaving now," he asked.

"Uh, yeah," Wooyoung replied with a nod.

"Is anyone coming to pick you up," Lynx asked.

"No, I'm heading home alone," Wooyoung replied.

"Absolutely not. I'm walking you home," Lynx said.

"Don't you think I'm a creep," Wooyoung asked.

"I don't know you Wooyoung. But I do know you're a rich spoiled brat whose parents own a multi-million-dollar hotel franchise and you came into my post-fight room obviously expecting something from me that you were never going to get. It was an invasion of privacy," Lynx said with a frown. That didn't sit right with Wooyoung and despite admiring him, he didn't enjoy being judged and insulted, he had more dignity than that.

"For the record, I think paying people to do that shit is disgusting and I would never do something like that. The only reason I went in without knocking was because the door was open and I got worried seeing your feet sticking out behind the bench. I'm not a spoiled brat either, I just have grown up with money. I'm heading home now and I'm more than happy to go alone as I originally was. You can stay here as there's no reason to help a creepy, spoiled brat get home," Wooyoung said. He didn't wait for a reply, he just turned and walked off. He found himself quite angry with Lynx and his judging of character. He would never ever associate himself with anything like what he was implying at all. He went straight through the bar area and headed outside into the alley. He paused when he was halfway down the alley, realising how dark and eerily silent it was. He was slightly creeped out but knew he needed to get home so he continued on. He made it down three more streets before he realised how terrified he was. It wasn't cold but he was shivering and constantly glancing around in paranoia. He hasn't really walked alone at night much and it was a lot scarier than he thought considering there were barely any streetlights. His mind kept going back to his almost robbery and what could've happened, what could happen at any moment. His pace slowed down and his heart begun racing, the words from Hongjoong and Yeosang also running through his head. He thought he would be fine but now he feels like he's going to cry. He was about to pull out his phone to call Yeosang when he felt something on his back.

He yelped and spun around, his arm flinging up instinctively, however it was grabbed and stopped, making him whimper and freeze.

"Hey, shh, it's just me." Wooyoung was terrified and despite his previous anger with Lynx, he couldn't deny knowing he was there made him feel safer.

"I'm not a creep, I swear. Pl-Please don't l-leave me, please w-walk me home," he stuttered out.

"You're shivering," Lynx said quietly as he loosened his grip on Wooyoung's arm.

"I'm scared," Wooyoung replied, feeling a little embarrassed but knowing it was true.

"Ok, where do you live. I'll make sure you get there safely," Lynx said.

"Um, at our hotel on Raymond Street," Wooyoung replied quietly.

"I know where that is, follow me alright," Lynx said. Wooyoung nodded quickly and followed Lynx closely. They were quiet for about 10 minutes before Lynx spoke up.

"I'm sorry for assuming things about you. I don't know you but that's not just a you thing. I'm going to help you get home because I never want anyone innocent getting hurt. You need to have someone with you if you come back though ok," Lynx said softly.

"I wasn't scared but then everyone kept saying it's dangerous and it really freaked me out," Wooyoung admitted quietly.

"They were right to say that. Not to be rude or anything but you've been pampered your entire life and you have no idea what it's like out here. If you're going to go into a dangerous neighbourhood, you need to have some security with you, especially if you're going to flaunt your wealth like you do. I mean you can certainly afford security," Lynx said. Wooyoung frowned at that, not missing the obvious dig.

"You're really rude, you know that right. I honestly don't understand how you could be friends with Hongjoong," Wooyoung said, shaking his head.

"Excuse me? You know nothing about Hongjoong and I's relationship. You don't even know either of us, you've met Hongjoong like twice. You have no right to make any judgements on our relationship," Lynx said angrily. It was clear to Wooyoung that he had struck a nerve.

"You've made plenty more assumptions about me. I don't need all of your snide remarks about me and my money when as you say, we know nothing about each other," Wooyoung said.

"Look, let's just not talk. I'll get you home safe and then we can go our separate ways," Lynx said. Wooyoung was still unhappy but agreed because he did not want to be alone. About 5 minutes later there was a loud noise nearby, making Wooyoung jump and stumble back. He knocked into Lynx and the other instinctively slipped an arm around his waist to stabilize him. Wooyoung's heart was pounding as he looked around to see where the noise came from, what it was. His mind couldn't stop from going through different scenarios, remembering what happened in the alley.

"See, this is why you shouldn't be out here. You're terrified." Wooyoung shuddered slightly at the voice beside his ear. He had completely forgotten that Lynx was still there but he became hyper aware of the chest against his back and arm still sitting around his waist.

"It was just a cat knocking over a bin," Lynx said. Wooyoung nodded slowly and pulled away, Lynx's arm slipping off him.

"Come on," he added, grabbing Wooyoung's wrist gently and pulling him forwards.

~~~~~
When they finally got to the hotel, Wooyoung had calmed down as there were more people around and more lights. Wooyoung frowned when he noticed a familiar car pull up. Then he panicked, realising he broke his promise. The door opened and Yeosang jumped out, rushing towards the front of the hotel.
"Yeosang," Wooyoung called out, rushing forwards quickly. Yeosang's eyes went wide as he spun around, seeing Wooyoung and running forwards. When they got to each other, Yeosang immediately pulled Wooyoung into a tight hug, letting out a breath.
"You promised you would message me Woo. Not even just that, I've been messaging you for an hour and you didn't reply. I thought you were hurt or that someone took you or something," Yeosang rushed out. Wooyoung instantly felt guilty as he realised just how worried Yeosang must have been.
"It was originally just a precaution but when you didn't answer, I was actually seriously worrying for you," Yeosang said.
"I'm sorry," Wooyoung whispered, nuzzling into Yeosang's shoulder. Yeosang sighed and pat the youngers head softly.
"It's ok. You're alright, that's all that matters. Plus I got to leave dinner early," Yeosang said, making Wooyoung chuckle softly.
"Come on, let's go upstairs and get ready for some sleep," Yeosang said. Wooyoung nodded and the two went up to their apartment. They both went to their own rooms to get ready for bed. It was there that Wooyoung was alone and able to really think about what happened. The boys in the alley said they wanted more than money but what else could they have been wanting? Wooyoung shivered as the room got cold suddenly. He hurriedly tugged on his pj's not worrying about where he threw his clothes and rushed to Yeosang's room. He didn't bother knocking, just went straight in, startling Yeosang who was only in his pyjama pants. Yeosang was confused but opened his arms and allowed Wooyoung to fall into them as he huddled close.
"You ok," Yeosang whispered, rubbing Wooyoung's back softly. He could tell that something was bothering him as his entire demeanour was off. Wooyoung whimpered and clung tightly to Yeosang, burying his face in his chest.
"What's going on Youngie? Are you ok," Yeosang asked worriedly.
"I'm ok, just scared," Wooyoung whispered.
"You're scared? Did something happen," Yeosang asked worriedly. Wooyoung nodded and Yeosang's stomach dropped. He quickly tugged Wooyoung over to the bed and sat down on the edge.
"I was walking to Wonderland and these 3 guys stopped me in that alley. They knew who I was and were mentioning that that I was rich, rich," Wooyoung said quietly. Yeosang's eyes widened and he grabbed Wooyoung's hand, holding it tightly. He was the one who let Wooyoung go alone and now he may be telling him he got robbed.
"I told them I could give them money but one of them said that they may want more," Wooyoung said.
"Oh my god, Youngie," Yeosang gasped.
"I was ok though. Um, Lynx actually saved me. He came at about that time and got rid of the guys so nothing actually happened but it really scared me Sangie," Wooyoung said as his eyes welled up.
"Oh Youngie," Yeosang whispered, hugging him again. He is so thankful that Lynx was there to protect him. Then he remembered Wooyoung walked home alone.
"Wooyoung, why wouldn't you have told me that, I would have walked you home. God, you must've been so scared," Yeosang said. It was then that Wooyoung remembered that Lynx had walked him home but he just left without thanking him or even saying goodbye.
"I was ok. Scared but ok. Lynx ended up walking me back as well," Yeosang explained. Yeosang was surprised at this bit of information but once again thankful for Lynx. He will have to thank him in person.
"I think next time we should go together. I don't feel comfortable if you feel unsafe," Yeosang said.
"But you've been going there for months alone just fine, I don't why me doing it once cause so many issues," Wooyoung said with a sigh.
"I ended up walking with other people but that doesn't matter. What matters is that you're ok and we're going to make sure you don't go alone again," Yeosang said. Wooyoung nodded, feeling a lot more relaxed and calmed down after talking with Yeosang. There is nowhere he feels safer than with his best friend.
"Do you want to cuddle tonight," Yeosang asked and Wooyoung nodded quickly. The two of them finished getting ready for bed, Yeosang putting on a shirt. They then got into bed together and cuddled close, Yeosang holding Wooyoung securely in his arms. Wooyoung felt safe and was quick to drift off in his best friends arms.
