Chapter 5

** a/n: I always like to put faces to my characters. In the last chapter, I introduced you to Sam and Lilly. Sam, of course, looking like Sam Elliott. Below I have posted a picture of his wife, Lilly. For those of you who don't know this actress, her name is Melissa McBride. She plays Carol on the t.v. show 'The Walking Dead'.

Adam slowly opens his eyes. The sun was shining brightly through the cracks of the old barn. He and Tim had slept in the loft and both were out by the time their heads hit the pallet they had made on the soft hay.

He quietly sits up and looks around at his sleeping lover beside him. He loved watching Tim while he slept. He was the only person he knew that slept with his mouth closed. No snoring just the slow rising of his chest as he breathes. So peaceful.

Adam slowly moves toward the ladder, careful not to wake the brunette. He had the dire urge to pee.

As he climbs down the ladder, he sees the others were still taking advantage of their soft sleeping area. All that is except for Chance who was sitting quietly on an old stool cleaning his gun.

"Morning." Chance whispers as he glances up at the blonde.

"Morning. I have to go piss." Adam chuckles softly.

Chance smiles and shakes his head as he gets back to work.

Adam slips out the door as quiet as a mouse. He shields his eyes from the bright morning sun. Walking around to the back of the barn, he unfastens his pants and pulls himself out to 'take care of business'.

He looks up into the trees and smiles as he watches two squirrels running and playing amongst the tree limbs. He was so distracted by the furry critters that he didn't hear his lover walk up behind him.

Tim slides his arm around his waist and takes ahold of his prick causing the blond to tense up.

"Need help with that?" Tim asks in a low voice near Adam's ear. Adam smiles as the sexy low voice sends shivers down his spine. His body goes weak and he leans back into his lover's arms.

"Good morning, boys." A female voice says behind them.

"HO. LY CRAP!" Tim says loudly as he spins around. He quickly positions himself in front of Adam so he could tuck his semi-hard prick inside his pants. "You enjoy sneaking up on people like that?" Tim asks with a nervous smile.

"For your information, Timothy, I wasn't sneaking. You were just, shall we say, preoccupied." Lilly smiles as she holds out a couple of towels and a bar of home-made soap. "I'll be starting breakfast soon, I thought you boys would like to go take a much-needed bath."

"That would be nice. But where?" Adam asks as he steps out from behind his boyfriend.

"There's a stream just down that path a short distance. The water is warm." Lilly says as Tim takes the towels and soap from her.

"Much needed bath? Is that your polite way of saying we stink?" Tim asks with a smirk.

"The smell of a wet dog comes to mind, Mr. Tim." Lilly laughs as she reaches out and lifts a strand of Tim's grimy hair.

"D*mn, you're a smart-ass. I like you." Tim smiles and nods.

"See you boys at breakfast." Lilly laughs as she turns and heads to the house.

"Come on, let's go get cleaned up. If her breakfast is half as good as that stew last night, I can't wait." Adam giggles as he grabs Tim's hand and pulls him toward the path.

They find the stream with no problem, it was only a very short distance from the house. Steam was rising off the water.

"She said the water was warm. How is that even possible." Tim says as he watches the steam rising from the water before disappearing into the air.

"I don't know. But who cares. This is gonna be great." Adam says as he quickly removes his clothes.

Tim lays the towels on a large rock as he watches his boyfriend wade off into the stream.

"Oh. My. God. Timmy, this is awesome." Adam says as he lays back into the water, wetting his hair.

The water was not that deep. It only came up to Adam's chest.

Tim begins to take off his clothes which he had to admit smelled pretty bad. Throwing them aside, he wades off into the stream to join his lover.

They begin to wash each other's body using the soap that Lilly had given them. Taking the time to caress and to leave soft kisses on their lover's wet skin. They knew not to get too much into a make-out session, figuring the others would be showing up soon to take baths. Besides, the smell of breakfast cooking was reaching them, causing their stomachs to rumble.

They head to the bank of the stream feeling 100% better with clean bodies and clean hair. Not to mention a little private time.

"Tim? Where did these clothes come from?" Adam asks as he sees some clean clothes laying beside the towels. "Were they with the towels?"

"No. But our other clothes are gone too." Tim says as he looks at where he had thrown his old clothes.

"D*mn good thing we weren't f*cking when they brought these." Adam laughs as he dries off with a towel.

They got dressed in the clothes that were left for them. The clothes were not new but they were in good shape and fit them well. Best of all, the clothes didn't stink.

"Our turn." Chance says as he, Austin and Nate appear in the clearing.

"That is if you two are through screwing." Austin adds with a laugh.

"We didn't screw." Adam chuckles and shakes his head.

"Probably would have but the smell of breakfast distracted us." Tim says as he slips on his boots.

Each one of the guys was carrying a clean change of clothes and a towel.

"Where's Rob?" Tim asks after noticing the bearded man was not with them.

"He's on his way. He volunteered to collect the eggs from the hen house." Nate says as he undresses.

"Always the helpful one." Tim smiles as he reaches for Adam's hand. "See you guys in a little bit. Don't take long."

"Wow, don't you guys look nice." Rob greets them on the path. He, too, was carrying a change of clothes.

"Thank you." Tim smiles.

"Feels nice to get all that grime off. You'll love the water." Adam says as they continue their way up the trail.

"Well, do I know you boys?" Sam chuckles as he throws corn to the chickens.

"I'm not sure." Tim chuckles as he leans on the fence of the chicken pen watching the chickens gobble down the corn. "I definitely feel different. Thanks for the clean clothes."

"You're welcome. They belong to one of my boys." Sam replies.

"Oh? We didn't know you had sons." Adam says as he leans against the fence next to Tim.

"Yeah, Abraham and Lucas. They were killed during the war a few years ago." Sam says. "Abraham, I guess, would be about your age and about your size. Lucas was a couple years younger but a bit heftier."

"I'm sorry to hear that." Tim says.

"Well, they died fighting for what they believed in." Sam says with a sigh. "Lilly couldn't bear to part with their clothes so I just boxed them up and put them away in the attic."

DING DING DING!!! The dinner bell echoes throughout the property.

"Breakfast is ready." Sam smiles and pats Tim on the shoulder.

They begin to walk toward the house. Sam begins to laugh as he points at the path. The other members of the gang were running up the path after hearing the dinner bell. Some were trying to pull up their pants, a few hopped on one foot while trying to get their boot on and the others were buttoning their shirts.

"Idiots." Tim chuckles and shakes his head.

"Oh, my goodness." Lilly smiles as Sam, Tim and Adam walk in. "I knew there were two handsome men under all that dirt and grime."

"Thank you, mam." Tim says as his cheeks redden.

"Could we help you with anything?" Adam asks politely.

"No." Lilly answers with a smile. "You just sit yourselves down."

The others soon join them and after Sam says a quick blessing they all begin to enjoy their breakfast.

"Tim..." Sam starts as he sips his coffee. "Lilly and I were talking last night. If you guys don't have anywhere else to go, you're free to bed out in the barn if you need to."

Tim stops eating and looks up from his plate.

"I appreciate yours and Ms. Lilly's hospitality but we're not a charity case." Tim says as he glares at the older man.

Adam reaches under the table and rubs Tim's leg in hopes of calming him down.

"I'm sorry, Tim. I didn't mean for it to sound like you were." Sam says, shaking his head.

"Of course, we weren't." Lilly says in a soft voice as she reaches over and lays her hand on top of Tim's. "We just wanted you to know that you were welcome to stay as long as you'd like."

Tim glances around the table at his gang, reading the looks they had on their faces. Looking around at Adam, he sees the same look in his lover's blue eyes that was in the eyes of the others. The message was loud and clear: Take their offer!
