Chapter 2 Late and Talking

Third person pov.

“Katra dear I'm very sorry to keep you waiting for this long, are you ok? Do you need anything? Water? food?” 

Katra ears twitch as she turns the next page of the book she was reading, she looks up to the person who spoke to her and smiles as she recognized the person standing in front of her, "Hello Tenzin, it's nice to meet you again and it's ok I understand the work you have to do" she said pushing up from the ground, grabbing her bag carefully in her hand, "water and food would be great, how are you?" She asks as she bows her head at him slightly. 

Tenzin smiles down at her. She put her book in her bag carefully so she wouldn't wake her snow ferret who was asleep in her bag, "I'm doing alright. We will get you something to eat very shortly" he said, "how was the ride here? Was it pleasant?" He asks her, "Did anyone give you a hard time?" He asks worriedly, knowing how benders and non benders act around nekos. They aren't always the nicest towards them. 

She places her bag strap on her shoulder and looks up to him again, "No it was pleasant enough if you like boat rides, there weren't that many people on the boat so this time it was all good" she said giving him two thumbs up and a thin lip smile, "How's Pema and the others? How's Korra? Is she doing better?" She asks him to change the topic from her to him, his family and then to Korra. 

Katra didn't end up following her older sister when she snuck to Republic City/air temple island to see Tenzin, she didn't even know her older sister had left that night she only found out in the morning when she was sent to wake Korra up for breakfast. When she got there she knocked a couple of times and got no response back, she called for her through the door and nothing so she went in and found her older sister bed untouched and her gone. Before panicking she ran around looking for her older sister everywhere but couldn't find her, she knew she was gone when she couldn't find Naga anywhere. So she went back to her parents and told them about the absence of Korra and Korra's female polar bear dog Naga. Everyone was in a panic except Katara. The panic her mother and father had caused her to panic even more, but the call they got from Tenzin telling them that he had to get Korra out of jail/questioning, they all calmed down knowing she was ok-ish. Instead of coming back home she was finally able to be trained by Tenzin. 

It has been a couple months since her sister left her and now she was finally able to go… the white lotus didn't want her to go yet so they kept her there until now.

"Pema and the kids are doing alright, they're very excited to see you again and Korra is doing better than she was doing a couple of weeks ago. You being here will help her out even more though" he said. He could feel the stress and worry build up in him again. 

But he didn't want to worry her right now, so he shook it off and looked back at her, "I'm looking forward to training you in airbending... Korra... is a...-" 

"Handful" she pitches in. Tenzin chuckles slightly, "well yes" he shakes his head remembering that someone was waiting for her and him, "I want you to meet a friend of mine. She will be watching over you tonight" 

Flash back
An hours ago - with Tenzin and Lin 

Tenzin had guided Lin into the hallway to talk with her. When the two were far enough to their liking they stopped. Lin stood staring up to him with her arms crossed over her chest, as Tenzin stood tall, he was worried for her but for others too, "Tarrlok's playing you and I don't want to see you get hurt" he said to her. 

He knows damn well that she can handle herself but he wasn't here to just talk about her safety. Basically right now he shouldn't be here, he should've been picking someone up, but with what Amon said over the radio he had to have a conversation with the other United Republic Council so they could come down with a discussion. 

Tenzin's idea was going as planned before Korra came in with Bolin and Mako talking about not shutting down the games, first they still sided with him but then Lin showed up and stood alongside the three changing his plans. It left him needing her help for a couple of things. "I know what I'm doing and the risks that come with it." she fires back at him. 

Tenzin sighs slightly "In that case, I'm going to be by your side during the match" he said 

"You don't need to babysit me," she said, annoyed. 

He slightly rolls his eyes at her, that's not what he had meant it to sound like, "It's for Korra I want to make sure she's safe." 

Lin rolls her eyes and waves her hands around slightly, "Do what you want. It's not like I've ever been able to stop you before" she said, as she goes to walk around him, "that’s not all I need to talk to you about... I... need... your help..." he said not looking at her.

Lin stopped walking and stayed in her spot. The two were facing away from each other, "What is it?" She asks. She was annoyed but interested in what he had to say. 

"Korra's sister is comin-" 

Before Tenzin could end his sencent she was cutting him off by walking back to where she could see his face and speaking, "The neko girl?" She asks him. He nods his head with a raised eyebrow. 

"What about it?"
