Lost pup. | Peach x reader.
Kind of self indulgent. Peach makes me absolutely happy, and when I feel like shit I wish I could just hug him. Yandere or not. I want the rainbow demon to hug me.
Peach has had a little something added to them. Either way, enjoy!
If wattpad isn't a shit smack, then I'm going to try and get this book to 90 parts before we move onto the next one!

What was even the point of being nice to everyone when it was thrown back in your face?
All your life you've been supportive, caring, a shoulder to cry on. But when you were the one who needed someone to talk to, there never was anyone in sight.
Family members thought you should get out more, try and socialize more. But what's the point? Why even bother? When every single time you're always the one being burned?
Years passed, and you grew to be more of a shut in. Staying inside just to avoid other people, it be better that way. Besides, you did well by yourself anyway.
You only left your house when you needed a few things from the store, or to get your beloved dog a bag of her favorite treats.
Speaking of your beloved pup, she was a smaller dog. Your mom let you take her when you moved out to get your own place. The short wiener dog walked in front of you, her purple leash in your hand.
Even though you've grown to hate other humans, you still very much loved your dog. She could be a handful at times, but you loved the little canine anyway.
Until she caught the scent of something and took off, ripping the leash out of your hand in an instant. "Cookie!" You called after her, immediately picking up the pace to chase her.
She could get stolen! Or hurt! Or lost! The world was a cruel one, it was hard telling what would happen!
She barked loudly, determined to find the source of whatever she could smell. All you could smell was the autumn breeze, and the faint smell of burning leaves nearby.
"Cookie get back here!" You yell after her again, she ignores you turning a corner and continuing down the street.
You huffed, turning the same corner, she was still in your sight you were only a few feet away.
Until she turned around some shrubs, making you nearly crash into the white picket fence in front of you. She'd never taken off before! Usually she'd chew her leash, or tear up one of your couch pillows but never anything like this!
You lean against the fence, trying to catch your breath for a moment before you can finally grab her. She is not getting your treats tonight thats for sure.
While your breathing begins to calm down, you hear what sounds like chains rattling? Not metal.. But plastic maybe?
Another figure turns the corner, leaving the yard your traitor of a dog took off in.
They looked male, a little bit taller than you. Light tan skin, with oddly vibrant eyes.. Those had to be contacts.. Right? Their hair was dyed pink, while the other half was a neon green.
It oddly looked good together. They wore a black crop top, with a bright smiley face winking on the center of it, with a pink and green checkered star belt around their waist. A rainbow stripped tank top under their crop top, jean shorts and knee high socks.
One with pink, blue and yellow stripes, the other covered in various chibi animals. They wore a pair of red converse, with a blue one on their left foot.
Were.. Were those horns? One was pink, the other being green but both had little charm brackets hanging from them. They looked handcrafted, and made with love. They had a tail, it reminded you of a devils tail, but with a glowing star at the end of it instead.
"I take it this little runaway is yours?" They ask with a smile, revealing their fangs. They held out your dachshund to you, she yipped and wagged her tail at you. She had a icing covered bone in her mouth.
"Oh.. Yeah.. Sorry she just kind of got away from me.." You awkwardly say, still weary when it came to other people. You reach out and take your troublesome pup back in your arms.
The being of rainbows laughs. "I take it this doesn't happen often? Its alright, she's got a good nose on her! I was just finishing up on my home made doggie biscuits!"
You look down to the treat she had in her mouth. "Wait.. You made this?"
They nod. "Of course! I work for the pet store down town! Well.. I volunteer actually. Momma always said I had a soft spot for animals.. She's never been wrong!"
Actually, now that you thought about it.. They did look familiar. You thought you'd seen a colorful mop of messy hair before, but you thought you imagined it.
"I'm Peach by the way, I was worried Cookie here was a runaway! But.. Momma says I already take care of enough strays." Peach giggles.
Peach was childish, but you could tell he was around your age, maybe even a little bit older. And he was.. Oddly comfortable to be around? The complete opposite of you.. He reminded you of who you used to be.
Happier, friendly, laughing at little things, outgoing, social, colorful.. That's.. Actually kind of depressing now that you thought about it.
Peach tilts their head. "Are you alright?" They ask, picking up on your sudden feeling of melancholy.
"Yeah.. Sorry. Thank you Peach for catching her, anyone else would have just said fuck it and not help me." You frown.
Peach lifts a brow, but doesn't mention the irrigated yet sad look in your eyes. "Oh! Its no trouble at all! Really! I don't mind helping out my fluffy friends." They lean back with a dopey grin, one that you find.. Oddly cute.
You shake your head once more, shut up brain. We've been through this. "Well, we should head home now. And tomorrow I'm buying you a retractable leash!" You playfully scold her, not meaning it at all.
As you turn on your heel to head back to your home, you feel a tap on the shoulder. You're not used to the contact, but you turn your head.
Peach sends you a caring smile. "Hey, if you ever need anyone to talk to, or a doggy babysitter, My door is always open!"
You softly smile.

You didn't need to say it, Peach knew it just from the look in your eyes that you've been hurt before.
Multiple times. It made his heart ache to see such a wonderful person like you loose your light all because of shitty people.
When you deserved so much better.
Seeing you up close, it looked like you had cried recently.
They'd seen you walk passed their house and around the neighborhood almost every afternoon. Peach wanted to speak to you, but you'd be gone before he'd finally picked the right words.
From your walks, and the visits to the little pet store he 'worked at' he knew you had a big heart for animals. With all the things you bought that cute little dachshund, it was clear she was spoiled. So, baiting your little pup with one of his irresistible treats, he made just for her.
With how good of a sense of smell she had, she couldn't resist it and come running. Knowing you'd follow, he scooped her up in his arms and waited for you to catch your breath.
Finally meeting you properly, he noticed how hesitant you were when talking to them. He didn't know if it was a lover or not, but it made his blood boil seeing you scared like that.
Momma always said if you want it, you have to take it for yourself.
Electricity sparked in the air around them, their mismatched eyes glowing in the darkness of their bedroom.

It had taken some time, but Peach was nothing but patient. You clung to him, finally letting your sensitive side show along with the tears you've held back.
He didn't care if his favourite shirt was stained with tears, Peach didn't want you to bottle it up anymore. Spill your woes to him, they could be trusted.
Peach hums, laying next to you tapping their beloved blade against his chin. You arms were wrapped around his waist, your face nuzzled against their shoulder.
You poor touch starved little thing. The sparkly stickers across the blade shimmered under the moonlight.
With all of the ice cream, tissues, baked goods, matching bracelets, you had finally told your only friend what had been truly bothering you.
So.. You had a horrible ex partner that was nothing but cruel.. They had been the one to stomp out your light.
Peach grins. He wondered where they lived? He'd never kill them of course, you'd hate him for that. The rainbow demon thought, maybe a little scare would do them some good?
A soft humming sound filled the quiet room, you didn't budge in your dreamlike state next to him.
Your snoring pup laid across his legs.
You didn't need anyone else, everyone else would just hurt you again.
Peach knew he found you for a reason. They return the blade back in its hidden holster on the back of his belt, before he leans against the pillows.
"Don't worry rainbow, I promise things will be better. ~" They purr, finally closing their eyes and joining you in dreamland.
End..! I hope you enjoyed.
I know almost everyone's been through some shit, it'll get better I promise, even if it doesn't seem like it, but Peach is there to make it better.
