"(y/n)!" Screamed your roomate Matthew Williams. You lazily dragged your ass out of bed and walked downstairs.

"Mmm I smell pamcakes..." You said as you sat at the chair. Matthew was Canadian, but moved to Japan to be closer to his boyfriend, Kiku (Idk what this ship is ._.). Kiku was sitting across from you reading a manga of some sort.

"Good morning (y/n)-chan." He said. You two were on mutual terms but your real love was your neighbor Light Yagami. Your stomach fluttered at the thought of him. He'd been acting strange ever since Kira came up, but you assumed that it was because he was worried about his father, but you just thought he was hot. You eat a plate of waffles shaped like hearts (Francis taught Matthew well) and you go upstairs. You change into your Pokemon t-shirt and a pair of jean shorts. You bring out your phone and turn on some My Chemical Romance. You feel someone looking at you and you look out your window. You see Light Yagami staring at you strangely. When your eyes meet, he blushes and walks away, dropping the blinds. You blush to yourself and play Pokemon for a few hours, but you lose to Norman, the fourth gym leader, because you couldn't focus.

'Why was Light looking at me?' You decided to go over to his house and confront him about it. (Japan and Canada both agree that you are a bit too strong with your actions). You knock on his door and his mom opens it.

"Oh hello Yagami-san, is Light-san here?" You say trying to be as polite as possible. She nods her head.

"Light! (l/n)-san is here!" She yelled up the stairs. Light came downstairs and stopped when he saw me. He kept his composure (as per usual.) and walked down the rest of the way.

"Hello (y/n)-san." He said coolly. I smiled and looked at him.

"Hey there Light-san." You said while smiling brightly at him. He smirked back, one of his I-think-I'm-clever smiles. You felt your heart flutter and he held out his arm, gesturing toward his room. His younger sister came out of nowhere and smiled.

"Ooh," she said teasingly. "Light what are you gonna do up there with your girlfriend?" I blushed and he had the angriest face ever, it was funny. I laughed a bit awkwardly and Light just waved her off.

"Never mind... (y/n)-san, would you like to join me?" He said. You nodded and you walked upstairs. You felt Light's eyes on you and blushed a bit. You walked into his room and sat on the floor. You saw something move in the shadows. You snapped your head over and saw nothing. Ligth walked in and you smiled at him.

"Hey, Light-san?" You say.

"Oh, please, just call me Light." He said. You weren't sure quite how honorifics worked, but you knew that not using an honorific was reserved only for family members, family friends and lovers...

"Uh, ok then Light," You said. "Uh I swear I saw something move in the shadows and I feel like a ghost or something is watching me..." You say. Ligth goes seems to keep his composure, but stiffens a bit.

"Well, maybe my house is haunted ha ha!" He said casually. You laugh too.

"You know (y/n)-san, I think you're pretty cool." He said shyly. You blushed a bit and shifted awkwardly.

"Also, you can sit on my bed or on my desk chair if you like..." He said. You get up and sit on his desk chair examining his desk. There were pens, pencils, a bowl of apples, and a computer.

"Hey, Light? You don't have to use an honorific either..." I said. He blushed a little and he said something before getting up abruptly and going downstairs. You do what you usually do and grabbed a pen and took it apart. You opened up his desk drawer and wanted to write a message underneath his drawer, saying something like "I love you." You opened up the desk drawer and laid down on the floor. You saw a small hole in the bottom, just big enough for a pen to fit through and you put the pen through the hole. You look at the desk and see the bottom come up. Your initial reaction is "Oh shit!" for you thought you had broken his desk, until you saw that it was a false bottom.

"Dub tee eff?" You say. You take out the false bottom and leave the pen there because you see a fancy electrical current thing. You see a notebook with the words "Death Note" on it and decide to be nosy and look through it. As soon as you touch it, you see a frightening entity in the room.

"Hey there, I'm Ryuk." He says casually while waving. You put the notebook away when you hear Light coming and try to act casual. You succed in looking casual.

"Hey Light," Ryuk says. "Do you think I could have an apple?" He says. Light looks annoyed, but seems to keep his cool. You and Light chat a bit.

"Oh! I must get going Light." You say. He looks at you and nods.

"Do you want me to walk you home, (y/n)?" He asks.

"Uh, I live next door, but sure..." You say awkwardly. Ryuk begins to laugh. 

"So Light, are you gonna stay over at her house?" He says while laughing harder. Light looks a bit angry, but walks me downstairs and out the door. As he's walking you to your front door, you see a shady looking man run down the street looking defeated.

"Thank you for a wonderful evening Light." You say politely.

"It was nothing, really (y/n)." He said. He swiftly grabs your arm and pulls you close to him. You blush as he leans down, ever so slowly and dramatically, and kisses you. When you break the kiss, you say goodnight and walk inside.

"Hey (y/n)!" Matthew called out happily, clutching his teddy bear which he named Kumajiro.

"Hey Matt. Hey Kiku." You say a bit dazed. Matthew and Kiku nodded and cuddled on the couch watching an Italian romance movie*.

You walk upstairs and flop onto your bed. A few minutes later, you hear a scream of rage come from Light's house. You shrug it off and go to sleep. A few minutes later, you are discovered dead in your bed.

You died of a heart attack.
