Nat's POV

-Are you ready?- Steve asked.
We were in front of the door of a farm, in the middle of nothing.

I was going to meet Steve's friends and I was very nervous, they would have probably hated me.

-I think so. Is it too late to escape?- I said.

-Yes but when you want to leave just tell me- he said and I smiled.

He knocked and a man opened the door: he smiled at Steve and looked at me in a surprised way I guess?

-So this is...- he said.

-Nat yes. Nat, this is Clint- Steve said.

-Nice to meet you- I said shaking his hand.

We entered the house and in the living room there was another girl.

-Steve!- she said and she hugged him then looked at me -Hi I'm Wanda-.

-I'm Natasha but you can call me Nat- I said.

-Are you from Россия?- she said and my eyes widened.

-да- I answered in Russian.

-Oh fun!- she said smiling.

That girl was pure energy, I have to admit that.

We had dinner all together and slowly the tension started to fly away.

Steve's friends were nice and they weren't scared of me.

Later Steve and I were in the front porch, looking at the snow.

-So? How is it going?- Steve asked.

-Good, your friends are very nice- I said.

He smiled.
-There... There is something that I wanted to do...- he said.

-Oh what is it?- I asked.

-Close your eyes- he said.

I did like he said and a few moments later I felt his lips on mine.

Before I could think of something I kissed him back, hugging him.

For the first time in my life I felt safe.
