PART THIRTY FIVE
2.
There is plenty of hesitation, worry, wonder and disbelief right from the point when authorities had come into contact with an apparently abandoned baby girl who can be no more than a few days old and this comes just five days after a lady named Helena White had apparently given birth to a child yet to be seen from that moment of birth. Parents adamantly deny abandonment and any other accusation that comes their way.
Spooked while home alone, mum's waters broke. Having made her way out to her front garden she passed out only to later, some hours later, wake in hospital and discover there is no sign of her baby. DNA tests prove that the found child is the daughter of Mark Joseph White and Helena Mary Bernadette White.
It doesn't make sense. How exactly was the child born? Who took her? And who left her hidden down an alley? Mark had been at work; Helena was in no condition to give birth alone and leave her daughter anywhere away from her home only to return and collapse in her front garden, if that can even be argued as to having actually happened. What did happen? Helena only knows that she was about to go into labour before she passed out and when she woke, she was baby-less.
Add to the confusion the fact that the child was indeed discovered, found close to the aptly named The North Star hotel five days after mum's collapse, like really? If any of what had been witnessed, or rather experienced, had not been witnessed then it could possibly not have been believed at all.
There is so much going on that someone somewhere must know just what really is going on. What if there are signs out there as to what is actually going on, signs that regular people can pick up on? And what if these signs are being interpreted and correctly interpreted at that and by not just one person but by many, then what? What could such people really know and what could they do with what it is they believe they know? Better yet, what could such people really do with what it is they think they know?
The daughter of Mark and Helena White also happens to be the daughter of God, sent in response of the actions of Darkness himself, El Diablo, the Devil, the lord of the underground ... Satan but how could they know such a thing? They don't, not for sure. There was no direct forewarning, no direct telling of what lays ahead, anything that may have previously pointed to the contrary would be a feeling, a bond between mother and unborn child, and a magic shown through dream which any sane person would pass off as nothing more than dream.
Could prophecies be a real thing? Fore warnings of what is to come intentionally put out into the world long before it is to happen by either Darkness or Light for whatever reason could possibly not be too much of a stretch of the imagination, if such a thing could actually be a thing then who could interpret anything which could be considered a prophecy? And what could be done with these interpretations?
Scales that may have appeared to have been completely tipped by darkness may indeed be leveling out, however nine into one still does not go; maybe it does not need to. Maybe darkness is on the back foot and maybe in all his confidence he does not know, and he does not see the true deficit. It all is just a maybe, it may even take for it to be played out to a possible conclusion to see if there is an upper hand on either side, it may take time to see if darkness can defeat light or vice versa.
When a boy named David Roux found a baby girl down an alleyway he did not see anyone else near-by, he surely did not notice the presence of a man in robes. This robe wearing man, with a hood over his head that hides his face, would be difficult to miss one would think but there are and were no reports of such a man in any following investigation. No matter what the reports say, that robe wearing man was there.
A man in robe would and will also attend a Ball when the time comes where he will continue to wear robe, hood and all. He'll need no invite, not that one was ever going to come his way, and his entrance to such an event will go unchallenged and possibly unnoticed, as if any challenge could do anything to prevent his entry.
The hesitation with uniting a newborn with her parents is of course down to the circumstances of the separation and to the mystery of the birth. Mark's attendance in work on the main day in question had been confirmed though an exact time of birth could not be confirmed; only estimated. Child could have been born early morning before Mark made his way to work, investigations cannot confirm if this had occurred or not.
There is no one to confirm that things are as Helena had described them though there is that phone call. All that could be gathered in relation with the call would be the time, duration and the location from where call was made; the content of the call can only be here say.
A police officer had discovered Helena unconscious in her garden shortly before two in the afternoon and he had radioed for an ambulance. Helena had been unconscious for some time before being discovered at it had been after five in the afternoon when she awoke in hospital and without child. The call between mum and dad to be had occurred a little after midday.
So how indeed is a child born when mother is unconscious and how does said child disappear only to be found alive and well days later, wrapped up and hidden in an out of the way place? It is all far too extraordinary as are the circumstances of the discovery of the child.
Frustrating not knowing, frustrating having to wait, to the point that a name cannot even be chosen until things are settled and there is worry, worry for what the future may bring. As absurd as everything has been, when found child had been confirmed as being the daughter of Helena and Mark White and long before any possibility of a unification, mother and father are told that there would be three visitors traveling from a far to their home. They were told this by a robe wearing man who contact with would only be ever so brief.
Who could that guy be? And what might he know? Answers can only be assumed and not known for sure. To add to their bewilderment, the Vatican would be aware of their circumstances, to which an explanation would also not be forthcoming but that is for the weeks following the birth and not the immediate day of.
From waking in hospital, Helena would be cared for and questioned for three days. Care would have no real quality to it given the circumstances and given the amount of questioning. Sleep only came when exhaustion kicked in. Mark, once he got to his wife, only left her side when police insisted that questioning would occur separately. Mark would not be attending work for some time.
Once home Helena and Mark hardly went anywhere for quite some time. Yeah, when confirmation did come that their child had been found, a visit came to their home came as foretold. Three older men, a priest, a psychologist and a lawyer, all on an investigation of their own to attain information and fact, to acknowledge state of mind and ability to care for a child, daughter would be cared for by nuns for the immediate weeks to come.
One week after Helena's collapse, these three men arrived to her home. After a brief introduction at the door an invitation to come inside was offered. A short meeting discussed what was to come. Helena and Mark had no option but to agree to give these three men the access they asked for, sure they had travelled all the way from the Vatican itself.
They, the three men, did offer assurances that their presence and upcoming presence would be in the best interest of the family. It was as if their agenda was to unite the family as if they already knew that such a thing is what is meant to be, and that no wrongdoing had been done within the family unit.
The road ahead is a long one. There will be many twists and turns. Many will travel this road; no one will travel it alone, even if it seems as if they are alone, some may not get all so far and some may see the road through to the very end. The destination is unclear and if at any time the journey were to call for one person to go it alone then that one person may not be the clear and obvious one to go forward though at that there will be others not all so far behind.
