The world is not what we believe it to be. There is so much we do not know or could ever understand. In a for instance of how often we wish we could have a lost loved one back, just for one day, if only to tell them how we feel, we cannot possibly know that such a thing is sometimes possible but more so in a be careful for what you wish for kind of way.

When the world is calm, when the supernatural forces that guide the nature of the world are in periods of inactivity or low activity, spirits of lost ones can sometimes be free to roam the world. Quite often these spirits are in a realm of their own, being no more than trapped, or troubled energy unable to interact with or impact the world of the living.

Then there are times when spirits can more than impact the real world, they can physically move items, haunt places or people, go unseen for the most part by the living except for a few deemed to be sensitive to the spirit world or are some sort of medium between one world and the next.

Those who have passed remain, only to feel as if their impact on the living world is as yet undone, can find ways to communicate with the living either by using sensitive mediums or by using their surroundings. Electrical voice phenomena (EVA) are something quite common if one knew what to look for and where to look. It is a medium where the dead can communicate through static electricity, places between radio stations or channels untuned on analogue television. They can often speak of show relevant information, impart messages through such medium though of course, the intended target of such information need to be attuned to the right place at the right time to receive their message.

During times of war, the dead have more freedom. Anything demonic can have free range to manoeuver and impact the world almost as they see fit where at other times they are restrained. This free Will is why heaven must interfere in Hell's war on Earth for how can the average mortal defend oneself from attack, demonic or otherwise?

During war, walls fall and what usually is impossible can become very possible. Spirits of the dead can more than wander the earth, the dead themselves can also return under certain circumstances. A return from death does not mean that all which once was has been returned, the dead can return whole, and in some cases, stronger than they ever were when alive, more often than not ... a change has occurred.

Eight of the nine biological fathers of the daughters of darkness have gathered. Yeah, some are or at least have been dead including one who knew nothing of a fatherhood. He who turned a moment of offering aid into a moment of taking advantage could not have known anything of fatherhood for he never survived said moment of taking advantage.

In death, life does go on and things are never simply black and white. The dead can interfere with the future and that is what eight men have come to do ... affect the future. In the current battle between good and evil, what element is the strongest? Is it Casandra, the daughter and second child of God? Is it Majella, the daughter of Darkness who does not want to comply with Satan's plans to place the world into shadow? Is it he who is in between, the Magpie known as Samuel Fontaine? Or is there someone else, thing else that will decide the fate of the world?

None of the biological fathers, including those who have died, want harm to come to their daughters, they each want their girls to live as normal a life as possible and that is something very far removed. They perhaps see Sammy as one who has the greatest opportunity to turn the girls into something they currently are not.

Indeed, Majella is very different to the other eight, an anomaly within a group of nine and possible anomaly all by herself, away from those eight others. Still, this is not why Tom Smith has been kept apart from eight who have gathered together. There are eight souls willing to sell themselves to the dark side for what they believe is the greater good. They know Tom Smith would never do such a thing and if he were to agree to such a thing then the Devil himself would certainly become suspicious.

Each are willing to join Darkness in the underworld, each are willing to subject themselves to Satan's biding on the condition that he release Sammy from that Underworld prison for the biological fathers believe or hope that the war will end before any of them impact negatively upon it.

To Darkness, eight souls are being offered to him to do his bidding as he sees fit, how could Satan refuse such an offer. It is one he accepts without a moments delay. It is the third day of September, twenty-four hours after Sammy's return to the underworld, when eight fathers arrive and make the offer Darkness cannot refuse.

The restriction on the veil which kept Sammy inside, is lifted.

'You can go my son ... be careful of what you may find out there ... in the real world ...'

Sammy is not sure if he understands this moment. Darkness seemed so ... set of never letting him leave again, and now just one day after his own return here, he is to be free? He wants to question it but doesn't. Getting to leave the underworld is much more important than the knowledge of why this is occurring, then again, perhaps they are just as important as one another.

Fourth day of August 2018 would be a day which would haunt Greta Turner for the rest of her life, as if she hadn't already acquired enough days like this within her life. A visitor came calling and of course it had to come on a day darkened by cloud and rain and the rain was teaming down.

He came to her door, he came to her home, how he might know where she lived is one thing and the actual sight of him is another for he should not exist, especially after all this time. Why he should not exist? That is fairly simple, or not so simple at all, this fellow is dead or at least he should be for Greta herself is the one who ended his life.
