PART ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY SIX
2.
The panic and worry that Terrence Bolan feels is immense to the point he has never felt anything at all like it before. Bizarre as it is the way his fiancée just got up and left in his vehicle, there is so much more going on and there is no way he can understand any of it. More than the odd fact that Harmony Richards has taken his car out without saying a word to him that she was going anywhere, Harmony is wearing little more than a dressing gown and a towel encompassing her wet hair and no one in their right mind would just head on out like that.
Her belongings are all at home. With her she has no phone, no purse, no handbag, no bank cards or money and with that there is no way for Terrence to contact Harmony to inquire as to what she is up to. Her current condition too, it could be argued that there is no condition; but then Harmony has recently been in a car accident which is why her own car is currently unavailable. In actuality her own car is a write off.
There were no serious wounds from that accident but there were cuts and bruises so Harmony should be back to one hundred percent physically. With all that too, there was that odd moment the morning after the accident. Harmony had been in no condition to simply be able to get up and out of bed but get up and out of bed she did to confront a stranger, something she would go on to have no memory of. Could there be something to worry about on a mental level?
So, the helpless panic and worry that Terrence feels is such that it may just eat him alive. He would like to at least call emergency services but what could he tell them? They'd simply think him crazy, think her crazy and have no other input than there is nothing that they can do.
Back in the living room of the home he shares with Harmony, Terrence catches the end of the local news report of a boy having gone missing from a shopping district shown on screen. Terrence recognizes it for that area is not all so far away. This couldn't be what has got Harmony going, could it? She had been watching this report before she got up and left. Is there someone possibly blackmailing her? There was that phone call and Harmony left the phone behind.
There is no number listed for the last incoming call, a call he sees lasted thirty-three seconds. If Terrence in some way could know of the current bigger picture, then he might speculate if indeed he could also be somewhat paranoid. He is not paranoid and indeed has no way of knowing any kind of bigger picture, still thirty-three seconds. Three threes are nine, nine daughters of Darkness, a force dragging outsiders in ...
Hell ... Terrence thinks to himself. He has to do something. he grabs his phone and wallet, ensures that all gas and electrical in the kitchen are off then heads out, closing the front door over but leaving it unlocked in case Harmony arrives back before he does, and off to that shopping district area he goes unfortunately however by foot.

An evening darkness has well set in by such time Majella Smith arrives to a shopping district car park. All the nearby stores are currently closed though there is still quite the amount of activity in the vicinity with the fact that a young boy is still missing. With plenty of room in the area to where she has come, Majella looks round to survey all of what she sees, and she believes she knows where she needs to be however, she may not get there all so easily.
A nearby parked car comes alive. Its lights come on and the engine settles into a low hum and a realization hits that whoever is within the vehicle has come with the sole purpose of getting to Majella in one way or other.
The car begins to move and does so slowly. It moves heading directly towards Majella. She does not move or flinch. The vehicle stops just inches in front of her. The lights make it far too difficult to see who is inside. It doesn't matter for the person inside soon steps out.
'Majella Smith, this is your last chance. Your father requests your obedience' speaks Harmony Richards not quite being herself. Like almost two months prior, there is a duality in her voice.
'If he wants to request anything of me, he can do it himself ...'
Majella is not going to hang around. She has a job to do, and she is determined to get on with it so she begins to move away then onto the nearby toy store. In the moment Majella begins to move away Harmony collapses and will lay unconscious where she is until Terrence finds her moments later. Majella, no matter her determination, is some once again stopped in her tracks as for wherever Majella Smith goes Nancy Ellis will not be too far away.
'What cha doing?' Nancy asks in an almost playful tone.
'What do you mean what am I doing? I am going to stop one of our so-called sisters, or two whatever way you wanna look at it, from killing a helpless boy.'
'You can't do that.'
'Why not? I thought you were turning on he who is supposedly our father. I thought you were with me.'
'I am with you. It's just ...'
'Just what? Are you coming with me or am I doing this alone?'
There is some hesitation on Nancy's part ...
'Looks like I am doing this alone then ...'
Majella in many ways really is of two worlds, one where she wants to trust and one from which she knows she cannot. On one hand there is joy and satisfaction and on the other, there are steps that need to be watched.
The evening darkness becomes darker almost by the minute and most likely unnaturally so. In Majella's vision of a dual Charlotte Allen ending the life of a boy, darkness has settled in with minimal store lighting on the go. Majella's visions are never time stamped so she relies on her gut feeling and the gut feeling is telling her that the occurrence of this attack is not all that far away in time.
The attack is not so far away in space either as Majella has arrived at the store in question. However, the next problem she has to face is the fact that the store is locked shut and Majella can be more than sure that the boy is somewhere within the store as surely as Charlotte Allen must also be in there.
This is where her newfound gift, one that has been with her most likely all along given what occurred with the orderly from the institution she had spent three years within, comes in handy both literally and figuratively. She places one hand on the lock to the main store entrance door. An energy, heat related energy, passes through her ... destroying the lock.
Into the store she goes where she is immediately confronted by Charlotte Allen who promptly splits herself to become two identical people. Majella raises both her palms like she did by the hospital oratory, and an energy builds. Charlotte sees this, takes a moment, then reverts back into being one individual.
From here, Charlotte makes a move to vacate the store. There will be no further confrontation in the here and now. With Charlotte out of the way, Majella searches the store to find a frightened young boy wandering the aisles. He will be home before long, safe and sound. He will not lose his life on this day.
