This is my side of a bigger story, and I get to choose what happens.

"Quelqu'un Périt" means "Someone Perishes" in French.

Antigone, Oedipus, and Tiresias are chapter titles, but are also characters in Greek tragedy plays by Sophocles. They all foreshadow what becomes of Murgatroyd in their respective chapters: getting locked up, losing his eyes, seeing despite not having any eyes.

There were originally four chapters, but I added more to fill plot holes and expand the story.

Troyd was inspired from the Pokemon Sableye.

Dazzle is better known as The Pianist.

Troyd's eyes were originally going to crystalize instead of getting ripped out. Yes he could still see through walls, and color, but it was a lot more obvious he was unique. He would also never be able to blink.

Troyd can't see eyes of dragons and living things, but he can see Scoria's eyes. This is because Scoria is aware of everything that is to happen. He can also see Shari's eyes for this same reason.

Flyswatter was 100% inspired from the song Flyswatter by Eels.

Cathorn is Clove's father.

Scoria was originally going to reveal his power at the end when Troyd needed to leave the kingdom, but I decided to reveal it earlier to the audience to provoke emotion. :)

A few days after the events of this book, Hoita quits her job and goes to college, where she eventually discovers thermodynamics.

The mute cannibal is not a dragon.

There was gonna be a chapter on Murgatroyd meeting _Atlxntic_ 's Queen Shari, but it was scrapped due to me not knowing how to incorporate the event.

There was also going to be a chapter focusing on Flyswatter, but it was scrapped because HEY THIS STORY IS ABOUT MURGATROYD NOT THIS RANDOM SIDE CHARACTER!!! Don't worry tho unlike the former this one is gonna be put in Stupid Shorts.
