Swinging her school bag from side to side, (Y/N) walks along the road to Tomobiki High School.

Noticing two familiar figures up ahead of her, the tall teen picks up her speed and skips over to her two close friends.

Shinobu Miyake and Morobishi Ataru!

(Y/N) walks over to them, picking up Shinobu from behind by his arms, holding the tinier boy up above the ground. "Morning Shin, mornin' Ata!" (Y/N) said happily. Ignoring the people that stared at her from her booming greeting. "Hey, do you guys wanna make plans to head over to the arcade after school later?"

(Y/N) asked sweetly, hoping her friends would agree. Knowing it had been awhile since they hanged out.

Ataru takes the opportunity of the two being occupied in conversation and pulls up (Y/N)'s skirt. Until he got a hard kick in the gut from Shinobu. The other male teen immediately flops to the ground in pain. "Ataru!" Shinobu said angrily, flailing about in (Y/N)'s arms and readying his fists. 

"DARLING!!" A voice yelled from the heavens above. (Y/N) looks up to the sky and places Shinobu down gently. Receiving a thankful nod from the brunette, while Ataru curiously gazes up to the sky as well. Not really expecting the male alien from a few day's prior to float down from the sky.

'Oh geez..' (Y/N) thinks to herself. Trying to mentally prepare her brain for whatever wacky situation she would be thrown into.

"Darling! I obtained my Alien Registration Permit! Now  we can live together!" (Y/N) sweats at her "fiance", while her cheeks feel hot from the nickname.

"Darling? Are you alright?" Lum asked her, floating closer to her face. A bit too closely if you ask anybody. As neither could tear their eyes away from one another.

Before their lips could touch, Shinobu spoke up. 

"Oi!" The male hissed, puffing out his chest as he glares at the alien boy. "You can't just assume you and (Y/N) are goning to live together!"

Lum glares at the short teen, "and why not? She proposed to me. All engaged couples live together so their love can grow!" Lum said in a chirpy tone, floating beside his bride to be as Shinobu shook in rage.

"Hmph!" He pouted, turning away from the two as he drags Ataru to school. "Oi! Ack!" The other teen boy chokes as he waves goodbye at the two. "Yellow isn't your color (Y/N)!" He yelled as Shinobu screamed and started to merciless beat the crap out of his friend.

"Yellow?" Lum asked innocently. You feel your face grow warm as you meekly spoke. "He.. He meant by undergarments." You rub the back of your neck shyly, while Lum looked like his mind broke.

"Eh.. Is that so!" He screamed, floating up higher into the air as electricity surrounded him. 

"No one looks at my Darlings under clothes!" SendIng a blot of lightning to the direction your friend had left. Your eyes widen in horror, "Lum!" 

The green haired boy lowers back down to the ground, hugging you closely as he unknowingly shocks you.

"Augh!" (Y/N) cries out , trying to pat his back to calm him down. Which thankfully works before you twitch more in pain. "Oh Darling. I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to let my emotions get out of hand." 

Lum apologized, hiding deeper in your neck. You momentarily forget your pain and try to understand your situation.

Recap!

You had saved humanity by grabbing Lums horns because his father wanted to invade your planet. Now your engaged to him and are suspected to be married to him soon.

Thankfully, his father decided to tell you and Lum to wait until you graduate.

How the hell are you going to tell your folks?

Would calling them be a good idea?

Shouldn't they already know? I mean, the entire media was still talking about your engagement...

Okay, one problem at a time.

Pushing Lum away, you stare at him straight in his glittering green eyes. "Lum?"

"Yes?" He swoons over your serious gaze. 

"Do you actually want to marry me?" You asked him, shifting uncomfortably on your feet. The alien blinks at you, no longer floating as he stands in front of you.

"What do you mean? You proposed to me, I'm supposed to marry you."

"No, I.." You groan, finding the words you wanted to say. You move to sit on the sidewalk as Lum sits cross legged while floating beside you.

"Lum, I didn't mean to propose to you." 

Lum is quiet at your answer, a small, thin smile on his mouth.

"I know." The Oni replied, staring at the morning sky. You look at him as if he grew two heads. "Then why did you go through with all of this?"

Lum hums, "you saved your world, I couldn't say no since you beat me fair and square. I guess you could say it was apart of our agreement." 

"But that just, it- that doesn't." You sputter, but give up. Not knowing Lum's true intentions, but choosing to take in his words at face value.

"Lum, if you want this "engagement" to end. Please tell me." You exclaimed, eyes almost poking out of your sockets.

"It's not fair for you to uproot your life just because I asked you for your hand in marriage on accident." You stated, your mouth becoming dry and throat wanting to close up.

"I didn't even think about your whole feelings on the situation... I'm sorry Lum." Your voice cracked. You look down shamefully, hands gripping at your skirt as you shake. Feeling the weight of the situation you caused. 

You felt awful, your stomach turning into knots. What about Lum's family in all of this. What about his friends, his life? All before this whole debacle coming into your unlucky life.

The male Oni whipped his head to face your own. A love-sick smile broke on to his face. His heart beating wildly in his chest as he did his best to hold back from picking you up and taking you to his home planet.

You were just so sweet!

So humble..

His heart couldn't take it!

"That's really sweet of you, Darling.." He breathes out, excitement bubbling within him while he tries to keep a cool head.

"You don't have to call me that.." You whimper, bringing your legs closer to yourself.

"I want to." He takes your hand, slowly floating down on to the sidewalk. His knees placed on the ground as he cradles your dominant hand. 

"(Y/N)... Will you marry me, in the future..?" Lum asks, kissing your pinkies fingertip.Your eyes lower to the ground in shyness once more.

"I-" You shake your head, words failing you in this moment.

"I want to marry you." Lum repeated, his tone becoming more sternly.

Placing your hand on his chest, over his heart. Lum continued: "(Y/N), I want to get to know you. I want to fall more in love with you, just as much I want you to fall in love with me." Lum spoke sincerely, watching you slowly meet his eyes.

"But, if you want to take things slow. I understand..."

He takes his hand away as yours falls away from his chest.

You shakily stand up quietly and walk away as Lum floats back into the air. He follows you, a frown forming on his face as his eyes grow watery. A sickening feeling crushing the giddiness he had.

You turn back around, straightening your back as your arms clench at your school skirt. 

"Let's.. Let's restart!" You breath out, holding up your hand for a shake.

"Hi Lum, I'm (Y/N) (L/N)! Welcome to earth.." A bright smile illuminated over your face, holding in the embarrassed tears that wanted to escape your eyes. 

Lum's lips quivered at your actions. "Dar-ling~♡!!" He wailed, flying over to you quickly. Arms spread open as he crashes into you. Causing you to stumble, bit you managed to keep yourself afloat.

"Lum, you can call me (Y/N), we're friends! I think..? Do.. Do you wanna be friends?" You pat his back, a little slow and hesitant,  your actions reminding you of Shinobu and Ataru.

".."

"Uhm-hei!" You squeak, feeling Lum's nose linger by your collar bone.

Wait a minute, didn't he say a few paragraphs earlier that he was going to be living with you..!

"Y-ou and I need to get you registration papers." 

"Why?" He asked, unhappily moving away from your neck, looking up at your (e/c) eyes. He already had his permits. What else could he need?

"Lum... You and I need to get you registered for my school. Along with being a tenant of my apartment building if... We are going to living together." You state shyly, holding out your hand for him to grasp. You pet his hand suprised at the little sharp nails that reminded you of claws.

"Okay.." His fair features becoming red at your actions. 

You smile, biting the inside of your cheek in awkwardness and pull him along, heading to your apartment.

"Speaking of apartment's, did you bring anything from home? I don't have alot of knickknacks and stuff, so there's a lot of space." You speak kindly, your tone already showing that you were getting used to the presence of the alien boy.

Lum, noticing this. Smiles brightly, "not really. But I'll bring in a few things later once I get settled in!"

"That's great!"
