New Year's Day

There's glitter on the floor after the partyyyyy

Hello again, Wattpad! After a week of thinking and slowly working on my mental state (while also dying from a sore throat), I'm in a better place. Well, I'm not 100%, I'll never be after 2011, but I'm okay enough to return.

Anywhooo, that's not what I wanted to talk about today. I just wanted to do what I do every year, look back and see how much of a mess I am and how I don't know how to appreciate my life xD

Well, starting with January... I finished playing my first Pokémon game ever, Pokémon Sun! I guess that started everything and that's what led to some things that happened to me this year.

Just like everyone else, I got obsessed with Pokémon Go in 2016. And a little fact about me: when I like something, I go hard. So I saw that new games were coming out that year, and since I had a 3DS, I figured "Why not?"

And I don't regret it one bit. Sun and Moon made me love Pokémon even more, it's why I got back into the franchise. Well, properly, because I grew up with the anime. I believe it was the gen 4 anime, but I really don't remember.

Moving to March, since I didn't do anything good in February... I went to a music festival! It's basically a tradition by now. Every year, since 2015, I go to this festival called Lollapalooza Brasil. I love it in there, it's awesome, and I always enjoy it. And I'll definitely go again in 2018.

I don't remember if anything happened in April, June, and July. (Edit: oops, I forgot about May.) My memory is horrible, and I have a habit of pushing things to the deepest corner of my mind since 2011. The only thing I remember from these three months, was the announcement of Ultra Sun / Ultra Moon. I. F*cking. Lost. My. Shit. And the wait was totally worth it!

I'd rather skip August. It's my birthday month and I always feel like utter crap. That's because people have always told me I'm not pretty, I'm not smart, I'm not enough, and they always keep pushing my buttons. But I don't want to tell my life story and start a "Let's feel bad for Angel" session. I just wanted to say that my birthday isn't a happy day anymore. I always get so much anxiety and I end up crying at the end of the day. That'll definitely happen again in 2018, when I turn 18, for reasons no one needs to know, except for me. The only good thing that happened in August was the creation of my Steven book, Bad Together. (And, btw, thank you so much for 900+ reads! I'll update soon.)

September was okay-ish... I guess? Idk, I think I was still sensitive about my birthday and all that. I just know it was also a bad month for me. The only good thing that happened was meeting Golf420 and that's it. I can't even explain how much he means to me.

Love, I know I'm not an easy person to deal with. I always feel like shit, I lose my temper easily, and I snap at you often. But you still love me on my bad days (ba dum tss), and I appreciate you for still being here. I know I'm a mess but I always try to be the best version of myself for you.

I won't say anything else because I hate sappy, mushy, lovey-dovey bullshit xD

Moooving on to October. It was okay, nothing exciting happened. I only remember counting down the days to USUM and What If Nothing. Oh, I also had pretty big anxiety attacks for personal reasons, but that's usual me.

November... Yikes, what an unstable month. It already started pretty bad, with a fight between me and someone right in the first day of the month. It was ugly, but I guess it happened for a good reason. And then it got better, when Walk the Moon suddenly decided to give me a heart attack by dropping Kamikaze without saying anything a few days before the release of What If Nothing. Then, their album came out. One week later, Ultra Sun / Ultra Moon were released. Then, my mind decided to be weird again. Yeah, I had a lot of ups and downs in November. But I guess it was the best day of my year.

December! Ahhh, December was fun. Mom travelled to the US and brought me a lot of stuff, then we travelled to Europe (and I bought a lot or stuff). We're touring the cities, stopping by shops (so my extra self can buy lots of things I wouldn't be able to in Brazil), eating different food, spending time with family. Yeah, it's stressful, and I'd rather travel all by myself and not with my parents, but I'll take it.

In summon, 2017 was okay-ish. It was probably my "best" year since 2011, when my life went down the drain, but it still was pretty bad. I don't have high expectations for 2018, I know I'll have a lot of anxiety (for reasons no one needs to know), and I'll feel like an even bigger disappointment. But I'll survive! (I hope.)

Still, even though I'm not looking forward to the new year, I still wish you all a Happy New Year! I hope your year is filled with good and exciting things, you deserve the best, even if you don't think so.

Until next time, peeps. Luv, Angel
