49. Books
Libra's POV
We were all in the library, including Taurus, Leo, and Aries. They were just picking out books for all of us to read. Anything that says "Ophiuchus" or anything like it was their mission to give to us.
Aqua was already reading a book. Scorpio was sitting close next to her to read the same page she was reading. I, apparently, was just here. I groan at how I wasn't really needed in this.
"WHAT DID YOU SAY, VIRGO?!" I can hear Gem yell from across the library. I see Virgo facepalm as she walks over to Gemini. She was whispering to her. Maybe telling her to shut the hell up when we're in the library.
I walk over to where Scorpio and Aquarius were. Their faces were about as close to each other as they were both trying to read. Aqua tried turning the page now.
"I'm not done reading," Scorpio says.
Aquarius shrugged. "Not my fault you're a slower reader than I am," she says, almost laughing.
That caused Scorpio to just roll his eyes, stand up, and find another book to read for himself. I follow him, so I can find a book too.
We were both by racks and shelves of books. "You must be really interested in knowing about this Ophiuchus guy now, huh?" I say, making small talk.
He glared at me and back to the books. "Yeah..." he says, slowly.
There was an awkward silence now. "Y'know he's nothing like you and Sag, right?" I say, trying to cut through it.
He had his hand on one book, but he didn't pull it out yet. He looked at me with a look of disbelief. "How the hell would you know?"
I shrug and focused my eyes on the books in front of me, also searching. "That's what Lupus says. Doesn't she know almost everything?"
Scorpio scoffed. "Nobody knows everything."
"I said almost everything," I corrected him.
"Almost is never enough," he says, pulling the book out of the rack now.
I sighed. Of course he's such a cynic person.
At that same time, Aries was coming over to us. I didn't even feel like looking at him. Especially since I kissed him the other night, and he still talks about it. It was just too awkward.
"Hey, guys. We found more books," he says to us.
My eyes were still focused on the racks of books in front of me. I realized I was making it more awkward than it needed to be. "Okay," I say, still acting like I was looking for books. "Put them on the table where Aqua is sitting."
"Yes, ma'am," he says, as he walked passed me now. I sighed. I don't know why I made it so awkward. Or even if it wasn't, I just felt awkward.
"C'mon, let's go read these," Scorpio says, as he was walking passed me too.
I decided to stop looking for more books since we already have some now. The table where Aqua was sitting was stacked with books. It overwhelmed me. I wish I was in Aries', Leo's, and Taurus' group now.
Aqua was still reading her book about Ophiuchus. She was just so silent, and seemed almost distant. I felt like I haven't talked to her in a while now that she hangs out with Taurus more. I couldn't blame her since I do hang out with Cap more than anybody else now. It was always the three of us, and now it's just me and Cap, and her and Taurus.
I decided to try to make small talk with her. "Hey, Aqua," I say.
She was still focused on her book. Even before we became distant with each other, she used to love reading books. She was always the smart but mean and edgy type.
"Hey," she says, turning the page in the book.
I didn't even know what to talk about. The only thing I guess I could talk about was Taurus. I smiled at the thought of them.
"So," I say. I paused for a second to wiggle my eyebrows. "You and Taurus, huh?"
She looked at me now. "What about me and Taurus?"
I scoffed. "C'mon! Are you guys together yet?"
She rolled her eyes and looked back at her book. "No. Taurus and I are just friends now."
"You mean for now," I corrected her, smiling.
She looked at me again. "Can you not?"
"Can I not what?" I say, playing dumb.
"Imagining me and Taurus together. That's not gonna happen," she says, looking back at her page. "But what could happen is me and Cepheus," she says, smirking.
"You do know that Cepheus is Virgo's, right?" I say.
She sighed. "Yeah, you're right," she admits.
She never was the type to take people away from other people. She was either with them or being completely distant. On top of all that, she was still a great friend. She never minded being distant from anybody. As long as everybody was happy, she was fine.
She used to act like she totally didn't care about people, but she proved herself wrong with that one.
"Do you at least like Taurus?" I whisper.
"Of course I like Taurus. As my friend," she says, eyes still not leaving the page.
I groan. "But he's so nice to you... sometimes..."
She chuckled. "Yeah, I know. Sometimes."
I sighed. I think I would totally love Aqua and Taurus to be together. Then my head visioned back to the time Cap and I almost lost our connection at the halloween party. These things aren't that easy to follow through. I was about to ask her something else about Taurus, but she spoke before I could.
"You and Cap are obviously fine," she says, still smirking as she was looking at her book.
I almost blushed. "Yeah... I just feel like ever since I've been with him, you and I have been... drifting."
She looks at me now. "What?"
"I've just been feeling so distant with you. We're never like that, Aqua."
Aqua blinked at me. "You think that?"
My eyes widened. Usually, I thought she distant herself with people on purpose, but maybe she didn't realize she does. "Well, yeah. I mean, I can't blame you if you feel left our or-"
She put a hand up stopping me. "Let me stop you right there. For a long time now, Cap liked you. That was one of the things he never told you as long as the three of us have been friends. Usually, he would tell the both of us something, but I've known. I know better than to feel left out whenever you two were going to be together anyway," she explains.
I was silent now. I didn't even know what the hell to say. I just felt like ever since Cap and I were together, which has been only three days, that Aqua would feel like the odd one out. I mean, that's how I thought I was going to feel when Cap tricked me into thinking he liked Aqua.
"I'm not left out. You guys are still my bros. I've just been expanding my circle lately. Y'know, talking to Taurus and Virgo more," she says, going back to her book.
"Then why do I feel so distant from you," I ask. I could tell that it was only one-sided. She probably didn't realize it until I asked.
She looked at me again and shrugged her shoulders. "I didn't know you felt like we were like that," she says.
And I was right. It was one-sided. I wasn't mad about it or anything. This way, I know that Aqua didn't feel left out. I would hate for her to feel like that.
"I'm sorry," she said. "I didn't know."
I gave her a weak smile and decided to let it go. I knew she didn't want to get all up in her feelings telling me that she wouldn't make me feel like that again. She was never that kind of person to reassure anybody, but she was the type to do better. I knew she wasn't going to make me feel like that anymore.
"Can you guys stop talking and start reading?" Scorpio says to us who was sitting across the table.
I roll my eyes at him. Aqua just glared at him, but he was already reading again, so she went back to reading too. I decided to grab a book. Honestly, I didn't feel like doing much reading.
Instead, I decided not to open the book. "I'm gonna look for another book," I say, getting up.
Scorpio glared at me. "We have lots of books here, Libra. Sit your ass down and read."
"Yeah, that's Aries', Taurus', and Leo's job. We have tons of books here," Aqua says, agreeing with him.
I groaned. "I don't want to read."
"Too bad. You should've asked to be grouped with the two idiots and Taurus," Scorpio says.
"Is it too late to join them now?" I ask.
Aqua shrugged her shoulders. "Ask V. She's the one keeping tags on everybody."
Scorpio sat his book down on the table and tilted his head at me. "You do know we're all reading for a reason, right? Just read like your life depends on it because it fucking does."
Aqua looked away from her book to look at Scorpio. Then she looked at me. "He has a point."
I sighed. "I know he does," I mumbled, sitting back down.
Scorpio smirked and grabbed his book again to keep on reading. I was reading a page of the book. All it was talking about was how the prophecy said that the 12 of us were going to transfer to this world. That already happened. Next.
Before I could even flip the first page, someone decided to sit down beside me. I looked up and saw that it was Cap. He was smiling at me.
"Hey, Lib," he says. I see Scorpio glare at him. I could already tell he wants to throw a fit about him not staying in his own group. He hates most of us enough.
"Hey, what are you doing?" I ask.
"Hello, Capricorn," Aqua says in monotone, not looking from her book.
Cap just waved, but she couldn't see him due to the fact that her eyes were still focused on the book.
He got closer to me, so I could hear him in a whisper. "I just wanted to know if you guys found anything so far."
I gave him a shrug. "We haven't found anything yet. Why are you over here though? Is Sagittarius already working your nerves?"
"Actually," he started, "she's reading a book with Pisces right now. She read most of the books about Ophiuchus, so the books we have limits down to a few."
Scorpio chuckled. "I can't blame her. We're connected to the psychopath. It's about time she's serious about something."
I didn't know who invited him in on our conversation but okay. He was obviously eavesdropping. Cap and I turn back to each other now that Scorpio was going back to his book.
"When did she have the time to read about Ophiuchus? Most importantly, when did she start going to the library?" I ask.
Cap shrugged. "I don't know, but she said she's been doing her research after we got here. She didn't even know about the fact they were connected until this morning."
I can see Scorpio's eyes shift to us again. He was trying to eavesdrop again.
I shrug. "Maybe Virgo got her into wanting to research. Or Lupus. Or the fact we switched worlds made her want to do it."
"Hey, guys," a female voice whisper yelled to us. She sat down next to Scorpio. She had long brown hair and was wearing a sweater with gym shorts. I didn't know why. It's seriously almost winter.
"Hey, Lyra," Scorpio says.
"What's up?"
"Reading. Grab a book and help us, would you?" Scorpio says, going bsck to his page.
She scoffed. "And here I was thinking I was a friend. Somebody's a little bossy," she jokes.
"Get used to it. He's always like that," Aqua says, rolling her eyes.
I forgot her name was Lyra. I remember her from the halloween party. I just wasn't paying so much attention to her to actually know she was importsnt to exist. I just thought she was there.
"Where's Leo at?" Lyra asks, pulling her long brown hair behind her ear.
Scorpio shrugged as he was still looking at the book. "Don't know. Are you gonna read or what?" Lyra rolled her eyes and grabbed a book.
"What exactly are we looking for?" she asks.
"Stuff about Ophiuchus. Any information. We just have to know something about him," Aquarius answers.
Lyra sat her book down on the table to read the book title. "Why are we searching about him?" she asks, holding her hands together on her lap.
"The bastard wants us in hell," I bluntly said. Her eyes widened.
"Not all of us. Just the zodiacs," Cap sighed.
Lyra had a look of sorrow on her face. She didn't respond to any of what we were telling her.
Aquarius sat her book down and looked at Scorpio. "Did you not tell her everything before you invited her to help us?"
Scorpio rolled his eyes. "She said she was coming over. I just told her we were going to the library."
Aquarius scoffed. "The shorter answer to my question could've just been a no."
Scorpio ignored her and looked at Lyra now. "Do you still want to help us or not?" he asks in a calm voice.
Lyra nodded her head. "Duh, I wanna help. You guys just got here. Whoever this Ophiuchus bitch is isn't making you guys go anywhere," she says, smirking at Scorpio.
Scorpio smirked back and went back to his book. And as soon as that happened, Leo, Aries, and Taurus all came over to us.
"Lyra!!!" Leo says, excited to see her.
Cap smacked Leo. "Shut up. We're still in a library, idiot."
Lyra was giggling at Leo's excitement to see her while Scorpio just rolled his eyes. Since Aries was the strongest, he had all of the books towering over him where you couldn't see his face, but he didn't struggle to hold them all at once. Taurus grabbed a few books to sit them on our table next to Aquarius. You could see Aries from the neck up now.
Leo pulled out a chair to sit down beside Lyra now. "So... what are you reading?" he asks her.
Lyra gestured to the book on the table. "Can you not read?" she jokes. She laughed after that.
Cap laughed too. Leo rolled his eyes at him.
"He just doesn't stop, doesn't he?" Cap whispers to me. I giggled and shrugged my shoulders.
"Leo, I have to help read," Lyra says, pushing Leo's arm from around her shoulders now.
Leo frowned. "Why?" he asks.
Scorpio groaned. "So we won't go to hell, you fucking dumbass."
"Oh, yeah," Leo says, as if he's now remembering.
I don't see how he could forget. Seriously everyone's thinking about it but him. Then again, he was the one who obviously doesn't care since he threw that party when Virgo was telling us everything.
Leo stands up and was walking to stand beside Aries who still had all the books in his hands.
Taurus went to sit down beside Aquarius. "Did you guys find anything?"
Aqua shook her head. "It just says the same thing. It's like there's no other information. Like they don't want to tell us more," she answers.
Taurus frowned and put a hand on her houlder. "It's okay. You'll find it. You always fix things," he says, squeezing her shoulder now.
Aqua smiled as a response which caused Taurus to smile too. I could see Scorpio from across the table watching them from his book.
"Taurus, c'mon. Let's give these books to Pisces," Aries says, gesturing his head to where Pisces was. He was all the way to the other side of the library, reading a book with Sag's head close to his as they were reading together.
Taurus sat up and the three boys walked away from us. Cap stood up too. "Yeah, I should go too. Pisces and Sagittarius will probably be pissed if I wasn't reading with them," he says.
"Okay," I say. "Tell us what you find."
He kissed my cheek. "Of course," he says, smirking. He then left to the other side of the library.
"Ahem," Scorpio cleared his throat. My attention went to him now. "Can you stop making googly eyes with your boyfriend and help us read?"
I groaned at his sassy comment and picked up my book. Before I could read a word, Gemini ran over to us. Scorpio, Aqua, Lyra, and I all stopped to look at her. She was panting. Super hard.
"Guys!" she says, almost making the whole library shush her.
"What? What happened?" Lyra asks, setting her book down.
Gemini was still panting. It took her a while to catch her breath. Scorpio got eager to know what was going on, so of course he grew impatient.
"Spit it out, two-faced," he says, closing his book now and losing his page.
Gemini took another breath. "Virgo, Cancer, and I found something. Virgo says come over to our table," she says, still gasping for air from running too fast.
Lyra, Scorpio, Aqua, and I all looked at each other.
"Hurry up!" Gemini says, running back over to the other side of the library. Didn't she know better than to run in here? Oh, right. She doesn't.
Scorpio was the first to get up. Soon, all of us were all walking to Virgo's table. Everybody else were already here. The library, of course, was super quiet. The librarian was even asleep.
Before all of us were there, Scorpio was already talking to Virgo since he got there before Lyra, Aqua, and I did.
"What did you guys find?" he asks, taking a chair inbetween Virgo and Cancer.
I could still see Gemini standing up and still catching her breath again. All of the sudden, I was super intruiged.
Virgo sat the book on the table to a page of a gate. It was like the whole page was glowing. The page itself was shiny and kind of sparkly. It was pretty if you ask me.
"We already saw this page of the gate, V," Taurus says. "We couldn't find anything. Remember?"
Virgo shook her head. "Yes, Taurus. I do remember-"
"What the hell is so important about a gate?" Aries asks.
"There's a gate somewhere here in this world. Apparently, it's easier to leave this world than it was to enter," Aqua answers for us.
"So what exactly does that even mean?" Cancer asks. She must've not understood what Virgo was onto since they were in the same group, and she still had to ask.
"It means that if we found this gate, we could easily go back to the world we were before. If we wanted to come back, we would have to do that whole ritual again where we all fainted," Aqua was saying.
Damn. Who would've thought she knew her shit. I guess that's what I get for being so distant with her lately.
"So where's the gate?" Leo asks.
"We couldn't find it," Virgo says.
"Then what the hell was the point of telling us you found something?!" Aries asks, frustrated.
"For once, I agree with RamBoy over here," Scorpio says, crossing his arms.
Virgo huffed and puffed as she rolled her eyes. It was obvious she was irritated. "If you let me finish, I could tell you idiots. I, personally, couldn't find the gate, but I know someone who might know where it is," she says.
Only one person rolled through my mind. "Lupus?" I ask.
Virgo nodded. "I mean, she did create this world, right? To protect all of us. She has to know where the gate is."
"Wait," Gemini asks, putting a hand up, "so Lupus made that gate, so we can enter this world?"
"Sounds like it," Virgo says.
"She's so sweet," Leo says, swooning at the thought of Lupus.
"So does this mean we have to ask Lupus where the gate is?" Cancer asks.
Virgo shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know if she'll allow us to know where it is, but it'll be worth the try to get her into telling us."
"So what's so important about knowing where the gate is? I don't know about you guys, but I actually like living here," I say.
"Me too," Scorpio agreed with me. That was the first.
"I do too," Virgo says. "But if this means that Ophiuchus does enter this world, we can just easily push him out of it by using the gate."
Cancer shook her head. "Nope. We need to send his ass to hell. He's connected to Scorpio. Who the hell knows what could happen to him if he's not trapped? He could easily just come back here if he already found a way already."
"Um, he's connected to me too," Sagittarius says, raising her hand.
Scorpio chuckled. "You're obviously not that important."
Sagittarius didn't say anything. Usually, she would, but not this time. She just sat quietly again, waiting for somebody else to talk.
"So," Cap says. "The gate?"
"Oh, right. One of us can get Lupus into telling us where the gate is. Don't tell her about the plan. She'll just want us to fight, and we're not going to do that," Virgo says.
"I'm still against this. He still needs to be trapped," Cancer says.
"What if we aren't strong enough by that time, Cancer? It'll just be a waste of time. If we do fail, he could easily send us to hell on the spot."
"It's worth a try!"
"Yeah," Leo says, "Lupus said-"
"I don't care what Lupus says," Virgo says, eyes filled with worry and rage. "I'm not risking any of you to go to hell."
The way Virgo said that sounded like she deeply cared about us. I knew she wanted all of us safe and all, but I didn't realize she would take it this far for us. She never did like taking risks either. And she knew damn well she wasn't going to risk all of our lives.
"So am I understood?" she asks, looking at all of us.
Everyone nodded their heads except for Scorpio, Cancer, and Sagittarius. I don't know if she realized those three weren't with the plan, but I sure did notice.
I turned to look at Gem who was looking at something. Or somebody. I turned around to see what she was looking at. It was just that Neil guy. I don't even think I've seen him during the halloween party a few nights ago, but I do know that Gem invited him.
I turned back to the group now, and saw Virgo still talking about the plan. The only people not paying attention were Gemini and Sagittarius. They were both looking at that weird Neil guy. He was looking at books at the other side of the library now. I don't know why Gem didn't say hi.
"I'll volunteer on getting to Lupus!" Leo insisted.
Cap scoffed. "Hell no. You'll just get distracted on her looks."
"Yeah, Leo. You around Lupus is a bad idea. You'll probably just spill the whole secret to her just to sleep with her," Aries snorted.
Leo furrowed his eyebrows. "Not true-"
"Whatever," Virgo says. "You're not getting anywhere near Lupus."
"Why? Would you be jealous?" he says, smirking at Virgo.
I could see Lyra squirm a bit. I guess no one warned her how much of a flirt Leo was. Poor girl.
"No. Capricorn's right. You'll just get distracted, and I don't have time for anybody to be distracted," she says. She looked around at all of us. Then her eyes landed on me. She smiled. "Libra," she says. "You'll be a great detective."
My eyes widened. "Me? Why does it have to be me? Why not Scorpio or... or Taurus!"
"Hey! Why would nobody ask me?" Gemini asks, giving a fake sad face. I guess she's finally paying attention now.
"You get distracted too much, Gem," Aries says. Gemini pouted and Aries blew her a kiss which caused her to roll her eyes.
"I mean, Taurus, if you're fine with it, you could talk to Lupus," Virgo says.
Taurus shook his head. "No way. I'm not doing that by myself!"
"Then Libra and Taurus. You both can do it," she says.
"Why can't you do it yourself if you want it done so badly?" I ask.
"I have to keep everybody else in check. It's not like anyone else can do that if I'm not present," she says.
Ugh! I hate how she always have a point.
Soon, we heard a lot of books falling. We turned around to look at what happened. Sag's eyes were still fixated on that Neil guy. He was the one who accidently knocked down a rack of books. She quickly ran over there to him and helped him stack all of them up. Gemini got over there too to start helping.
"Isn't that Neil?" Leo asks, looking at the two girls and the Neil guy.
I whip my head over to him. "How do you know who he is?" I ask.
"He's seeing Sagittarius. I met him at the halloween party."
"So that's the Neil guy?" Aries asked, still looking in their direction.
"He is? I just knew him because Gem and I met him at the mall. She invited him to the party," I say, glancing back over at the three of them behind me.
"So what? Is he seeing Gemini and Sagittarius? Because if he is then I swear, I will-"
"No. He and Sag told us that they were seeing each other. I guess Gem and him are just friends then," Virgo says, cutting the raging Aries off.
"He's new here, isn't he?" Lyra asks.
"Gem said he was a socially awkward type," I say. "I still don't trust him," I mumble that part to myself.
"Well, he's obviously new. I haven't seen him before, and I know everybody," Lyra says, shaking her head.
"You said that when you were drunk too," Scorpio says, looking at her now.
"Why does any of that matter? We get it. Sagittarius is seeing the socially awkward guy," Cancer says, rolling her eyes.
I look back at the three of them and see Gemini walking towards us now. Sagittarius and Neil were leaving the library.
"Where the hell is she going? We don't have time for make out sessions. She's supposed to be helping us with the fucking plan," Scorpio says, already walking over there.
Cap grabbed Scorpio's arm so that he could stay. "It's fine. The plan includes Taurus and Lib anyway," he says.
Scorpio glanced back at Sagittarius' and Neil's direction as he was walking back to the table again.
Virgo shook herself off. "Okay, so back with the plan-"
"Gemini," Pisces says, looking at the direction where Sagittarius and Neil left. I noticed Pisces and Gem haven't talked in a while. I never knew why. Nobody ever told me. The fact that he was talking to Gem right now caught my attention more.
It obviously grabbed Gem's attention too. Her eyes widened as she heard him say her name. "Y-yeah?" she asks.
"How long have you known that guy?"
Gemini shrugged. "The day before Halloween when Libra and I were shopping. Why?"
"Did he say where he was from?" Pisces asks.
Gemini shook her head. "No. Why does this even matter?" she asks, confused.
I looked at Capricorn who looked at me at the same time. He was about as confused as I was. I could see Cancer looking confused too.
"Pisces, what exactly are you getting to?" Cancer asks.
"Yeah, we're supposed to be discussing about the plan," Aqua says.
"Describe him to me. Everything you know," he tells Gem.
I couldn't tell if Pisces was just worried or jealous that Gemini found that guy hot or if he was just worried. I knew he said he said he stopped liking her for months now, but I felt like that wasn't true. I couldn't have been 100% sure though.
"Well, um, he has brown hair. Very tall. Very... awkward-"
"Yeah, we already know that, genius," Scorpio says. "Did he tell you anything else important or is his thick accent too complicated for you?" he teased.
Gemini stared daggers at him. "No. We don't even talk," she says, gritting her teeth in annoyance of Scorpio. "We only talked at the party for some minutes and at the mall."
"Wait," Pisces says, turning to Scorpio. "What accent did he have?"
Scorpio shrugged. "I don't know. Some British or Austrailian accent."
"It was totally British," I chimed in.
"Yeah, that."
Pisces looked at the direction of where Neil and Sagittarius left now. He was muttering something under his breath.
"Is he okay?" Lyra asks, looking at all of us.
Leo shrugged.
"I know that guy," Pisces says, voice almost cracking with whatever emotion. I couldn't quite make it out, but I think it was fear.
"How?" Cancer asks, eyes beaming.
He shook his head. "That guy's name is not Neil."
"How do you know? What's his name?" Cap asks.
Pisces closed his eyes for a little while. "Tell me you guys did not fall for it," he says.
Everyone was silent. I didn't even know what the hell he was talking about anymore. I never saw Pisces like this. It was like he was disappointed and scared at the same time. It made me so sad for him.
I was looking around and saw everybody looking at each other, including Lyra. Aquarius looks at me as I look at her. She gives me a look of worry, and I bit my lip as a response saying I didn't know what was going on either.
Pisces looked at Cap and Virgo now. The two smartest out of all of us. "Cap, Virgo. You guys didn't notice it either, did you?"
Virgo and Cap look at each other. Everyone was still so silent. It was as if no one was in the library to begin with. My heart was beating so fast. Can he just tell us what the fuck he meant?
Pisces chuckled a bit as he ran his hand down his face.
"Pisces, what is it?" Virgo asks, attempting to put a hand on his shoulder.
Pisces sighed. "We're in a new world. With constellations as people," he says. He stopped there, waiting for everyone else to understand what he was getting to.
It was silent again. Until Aries was being his frustrated self.
"What the fuck are you trying to say, FishBoy?"
Pisces glared at him first before he glared at the rest of us. "When the hell was the last time we heard of a celestial named Neil?"
Virgo immediately looked up at Cap who did the exact same thing. Scorpio and Aries immediately looked in the direction where Sagi and Neil were. We could see their shadow in the window, so we could see the both of them still there, talking.
"Yep," Pisces says. "He's got you all good."
"So Neil isn't... Neil?" Cancer asks.
"Fuck," Taurus mumbled under his breath.
"Did you guys seriously not realize that?" Pisces asks, holding his head up with the palm of his hand on the table.
Virgo shook her head. I could see that she felt a bit embrassed. Cap just remained to do and say nothing.
"He's still nice," Gemini says. "Maybe he just doesn't like his name."
I look at her. "Are you fucking kidding?"
"Libra-" Cap started saying.
"I knew I couldn't trust him the first time I met him. I just had this... feeling, and I was right!" I said to myself out loud.
"What if he's just trying to hide his real name?" she says.
Is. She. Fucking. Serious?!
"That's exactly the reason why you shouldn't defend him. You don't know him! Sag doesn't know him!" I snap.
"Stop yelling at Gemini," Aries told me, staring daggers at me.
I scoff. "Kiss my ass, Aries."
"Seemed like you wanted me to a few nights ago," he teased, giving me an annoying smirk.
"You know what-"
"Guys! Stop!" Cap tells us, putting his hands up.
Cancer sighed. "Yeah, we can't get mad at each other just because we don't know who the hell this Neil guy is."
Scorpio, Lyra, Taurus, and Aqua nodded in agreement.
Aquarius looked in Sag's and Neil's direction. They were still talking from what we could see. "We need to get Sagittarius away from that guy."
"Yeah, he's probably some creep," Leo agreed.
Virgo turned to Pisces. "Pi," she says. He looks at her now. "How do you know him?"
Everyone was waiting for Pisces' response now. He looked so shaken up seeing him. He was probably so confused. I just wanted to give him a hug or something!
"Can you answer the fucking question already?" Scorpio asks impatiently.
"Don't fucking rush him. Can't you see he's shaken up?" I snap, gesturing a hand to poor Pisces.
Scorpio rose his hands up in surrender and shut his mouth. I was pleased with myself. Usually, he didn't take orders from anybody.
Pisces closed his eyes. "It was before the ritual. When we were in the other world," he says.
Taurus' eyes lit up. Super huge. "Before we moved here? How is that even possible?" he asks.
Pisces shrugged his shoulders. "I-I don't know, but when you, Virgo, and I were researching about him in the other world, I was looking at this book. My favorite book. And we talked for a short while," he says.
"About what?" Leo asks, finally interested.
"About the book. He said something about how his life was something like it. He used to always read it, and how he loved someone to death," he explained.
I bit my bottom lip. I was eager to know more. How was this guy in the other world and in this one too? That's impossible, right?
"What else? Did he say anything else?" Aqua says.
Pisces shook his head.
"Why didn't you tell us before?" Virgo asks.
"I didn't think I'd see him again. I just thought he was someone from... that world. But he managed to make it here too..."
Gemini was glancing back at Sag and "Neil" still talking through the window. I didn't know what was going on in her mind right now.
"That's not possible," Cancer says. "Right, Virgo?"
Virgo was startled by the sound of her name. She quickly shrugged her shoulders. "I-I don't know. It's not supposed to be," she stuttered.
"Unless," Pisces started saying. He swallowed a lump in his throat. "What if he's-"
"No," Taurus interrupted. "He can't be. He'd already try destroying us now if that was true."
"But what if he's smarter than that?" I ask.
"Wait," Gemini asks. "Are you guys asking if he's... y'know..."
Virgo and Pisces looked at each other, and Pisces nodded as he looked at the rest of us now. "Yeah," he said. "He's Ophiuchus."
