46. Arcade
Pisces' POV
"I'M SO BORED!" Leo shouts from downstairs.
Virgo and I were both in her room, talking about what we were getting for Scorpio's birthday today. I know we already partied last night, but Cancer wants everyone to be there this time.
Virgo rolled her eyes hearing Leo's voice. "Does he ever just shut up?"
I shrug. "Who knows. Anyway, about Scorpio's birthday," I was saying.
"Oh, right! What are you giving him? I was thinking about maybe giving him one of my paintings or something."
"Um, I don't know what I'm giving him. I'll just give him money or something," I say, mindlessly.
Virgo shrugged her shoulders. "Good enough. Hey, speaking of money, isn't it weird how we don't have jobs here?"
I nodded my head. "Yeah. It's like we're not normal adults anymore. But Lupus has been paying for almost everything for us," I say.
"Yeah, and what about our parents on the other side? Isn't it kind of, y'know, sad?"
I really haven't thought about that. It actually is pretty sad. What if our parents wanted to come visit us or something, and we're not even home. They'd probably start a search party or whatever.
Virgo sighed. "Maybe we could ask Lupus about that gate," she says.
I rose a brow. "Gate? What gate?"
She facepalmed. "I forgot you weren't there when we were researching about Ophiuchus again," she says.
"Oh, right. With Aqua, right?" I say.
She looks at me now. "How'd you know that?"
I shrugged. "Taurus."
She nodded her head in understand and paused for a while. "Have you noticed how close those two are getting?" she asks.
"Yeah, what about it?"
She was silent for another second and then shook her head. "Nothing. It's nothing. Anyway, about the gate," she finally says, "apparently, there's a gate around here that connects us to the real world. And apparently, it's easier to leave here than it is to enter."
I nodded my head in understandment this time. "Okay, so all we have to do is just find this gate somewhere?"
Virgo shook her head. "No, no, that's the thing. We found absolutely nothing. This world is the world that looks exactly like where we came from. Just different people and even additions to new things here," she says.
Before I could even say anything else, there was banging on Virgo's door. Virgo groaned and quickly got up to open it. It was Leo. She slammed it again and went to sit beside me on her bed again.
"Rude!" Leo says. He then opens the door for himself and enters.
Virgo groaned again. "Leo, get out! You weren't even invited in!"
"But it's important! Hey, Pi-Pi," he says, then waving at me.
I waved back, but his focus was already on Virgo as hers was on him. "What do you want?"
Leo sighed. "Okay, so, you're not gonna believe what I saw downstairs," he says, looking completely serious.
Virgo was actually amused by this. She looked at me quickly then back at Leo. "Wait! What's downstairs?" Virgo asked.
Leo closed his eyes. "Absolutely nothing!" he says, using his hands for emphasis and opening his eyes again. "I'm bored! Somebody hang out with me."
Virgo rolled her eyes. "You're so annoying."
"No, I'm bored!"
"Go play with Sag or Aries," she says, swatting her hand at him and turning back to me.
Leo groaned. "But I don't know where they're at!"
Virgo's head whipped back around to Leo. "Did they finally see how annoying you were and decided to leave you?" she says with a smirk.
He shot daggers at her and was about to say something until I interrupted.
"C'mon, Leo, they're probably in their rooms sleeping," I say, standing up and leaving Virgo's room with the two of them following me.
Leo groaned. "I'm telling you. They're not here."
I ignored him and started banging on Aries' door. There was no answer.
"I told you!"
I rolled my eyes and opened his door and turns out Aries really wasn't in his room.
"Okay, maybe they're in Sag's room or something." I go to Sag's room and knock on the door. No answer again.
"See! I told you! What do you think I am? Dumb?-"
The door opened to reveal Aries' head poking out. He looked at all of us. "Yeah?" he asks.
I gave Leo an "I told you so" look. He just rolled his eyes at me in response. He then opened up the door to Sag's room to reveal Sag standing by the open window.
"Did you guys sneak out without me?" Leo asked, offended.
Sag shook her head. "Nope. You didn't even knock on my door," she says with her hands behind her back.
Virgo looked at him. "How are you going to complain to us when you haven't even checked Sag's room?"
"I forgot!" he protested.
"Before any of you start an argument," Aries says, flinching and holding his hand out, "what did you guys want?"
"Leo missed you guys," I say with a smirk.
Leo pushed me, so I pushed him back. "I was just bored! Because everyone else is so boring," he says, sticking his tounge out at me and Virgo.
We both rolled our eyes. "Oh, yeah! And you guys are going to Scorpio's birthday party," Virgo says as she was holding my hand to drag me back to her room.
Leo's brows furrowed. "Hell no. I'll stay home," he insists.
Virgo stopped and shook her head at him. "Nuh uh, you're going. All three of you are going."
"Where are we even going anyway?" Sag asks, sitting down on her bed. Aries went to sit down on there with her.
"We're just going to the arcade and then grabbing something to eat," I say.
Aries groaned. "Fine. I'll go. I'm not getting him anything though," he says.
I shrug. "Fine by me."
"Leo?" Virgo death stares Leo as he was crossing his arms.
Soon, he finally gave up. "Fine, I'll go too." He threw his arms in the air and walked into Sag's room.
Virgo then turns to Sag who put her hands up in surrender. "Sure, I'm going," she says.
Virgo smiles at them and continues to drag me back into her room. While we were there, we were only talking about how we missed our lives in the old world. Where we had parents, a real job, didn't have to worry about having powers or whatever. Then again, our high school lives were both pretty suckish. I guess the fun thing about it was that we were just normal teenagers. Now we're young adults who have to worry about some man that's held a grudge on us to kill us.
°°°
That night, we all went to the arcade. The arcade was connected to a movie store, and the movie store was connected to a music shop.
"How'd you even find out about this place?" Cancer asks, looking at all of the glowing lights.
Scorpio shrugged. "When we had to shop for the Halloween party," he answers.
"CAPRICORN! LOOK!" I turned around to see Libra dragging Capricorn into some game. I chuckled. I was happy for them that they were together.
Next thing you knew, an arm was around my shoulders. "Who would've thought Cap would've gotten a girlfriend before I could," Leo said, looking at Libra and Cap too.
Virgo was beside me, so she heard. "Leo, as if you would ever get a girlfriend," she scoffed.
"Hey! I'd make the perfect boyfriend!"
She laughed. "Yeah, right." She then leaves us as she was drinking a cup of lemonade.
Leo started yelling and running after her to prove he'd make a great boyfriend. I laughed as I was walking over to where Sag and Aries were. They were playing some game.
"Ooh! Yes! I fucking won, and I fucking told you! In your face!" Sag shouts, pointing victory fingers at Aries who only rolled his eyes.
Then I got to where Taurus was. He was playing some stupid game. I didn't even understand how it was supposed to be played.
"Shit!" Taurus says, kicking the game. He started groaning now.
"Dude, chill out," I say, holding a hand out and laughing.
He looked at me. "Do you have a quarter?"
Without hesitation I reached into my pocket to grab a quarter. I slapped it to the palm of his hand as he began to play again.
"So," I started saying while he was too focused on playing that confusing game, "you and Aqua, huh?"
He was grunting as he was trying to win. "Yeah... what about us?"
I leaned on the game now. "Are you two together now?" I ask.
He shook his head. "Nope. Why?"
"Do you like her?"
He glanced away from his game to look at me now. "No, why? Do you?" He turned back to his game and was as focused as he was before.
"No. I still kind of like Gem," I admit, rubbing my arm sheepishly.
His voice sounded softer now. "Oh, yeah. I forgot," he says. "I'm sorry."
I shrugged. "It's good. Why don't you like Aquarius?"
He was shaking his head. "Well, she's cool and all, but I'm not really looking for a relationship," he says.
I roll my eyes. "You're starting to sound like Sagittarius and Virgo," I joked.
"Nah, I'm serious. It's going to be like someone taking care of me if I get in a relationship. I don't want that," he says.
I was confused by that statement. I would've thought of Taurus to be the one who would be committed in being in relationships too. I guess Cap and I were the only ones like that. Not that it really matters, but I just haven't expected that.
"Ah, fuck!" he says, getting angry. "Fucking lost!"
I laughed. "It's all good, man, it's just a game."
He sighed. "I know. I'm going to have a chat with the creator of this game. This sucks." He looked around, and his eyes widened when he found something. "Hey, manager! Manager!" he shouts.
Some tall man with a suit and tie and clip board walked over to Taurus who was obviously calling him. "Yes? How may I help you?"
"Who created this game?" Taurus asks, pointing to the game he was at.
The manager froze. "Oh, uh... I-I don't know those details. I just know which games to enter and-"
"So you're telling me that you own this place, but you don't know the creators of these games? Do you know how embarassing that makes you look?" Taurus speaks.
The manager was still frozen.
"This game sucks. I'm gonna have to need you to find out who he is and tell them to make it better!" he demanded.
I facepalmed. Ladies and gentlemen, introducing my best friend. The extremely extra and stubborn bull, Taurus Buller!
"Um, I can't just order somebody to change a game because of one customer's opinion. But you could give them a feedback-"
"No, it's fine. I'm over it," Taurus says, swatting his hand and turning around to walk somewhere else.
The manager was still surprised.
"I'm... so very sorry about him," I say, chuckling. "Y'know, you sound like a pretty nice man! Have two quarters!" Trying to ruin the awkward situation, I slapped two quarters in his hand and quickly ran to Taurus before the manager could say anything else.
"Taur!" I shout as I was running, "Taurus!"
Taurus turns around to face me, but I was running too fast that we collided and both fell.
"Get off of me! You're heavy!" Taurus says, pushing me off of him.
I quicky got up. "I seriously weigh ten pounds less than you!"
I hold out a hand for Taurus to grab and stand up. "Well, that seems like a lie," he says, laughing.
I shove him.
"I'm hungry," he says, almost falling over again.
I roll my eyes. "You're always hungry, but me too. We're going to get something to eat after everyone plays though," I say.
He groaned.
Taur and I were just walking alone in the arcade. We saw Virgo and Leo actually playing the zombie hunting game called The Revival. And I can't believe I'm saying this, but they actually looked like they were having fun. I'm not that surprised with Leo though. He's just always happy. But Virgo? Laughing? With Leo? That's something you don't see everyday.
"Let's play a game," I say, turning to Taurus now who hasn't even seen Virgo and Leo.
He shrugged his arms. "Okay, but you're paying! I don't have anymore quarters," he demanded, pointing a stern finger at me.
I rolled my eyes and kept on walking until we saw an empty game.
"What even made Scorpio want to even come here?" Taurus says as I put a quarter in the game.
I shrug my shoulders. "Don't know. Maybe it reminds him of what it was like in the real world," I thought outloud.
Taurus ignored me and was ready to start playing before I could put my quarter in.
"Hey! Hold on, you dickhead!"
Taurus was already playing the game before I could start. He had an evil grin on his face. I forget he cheats during games. He's not as competitive as the Fire Signs, but he does like winning too. Even if it involves cheating.

Third Person POV
"Cap! Cap! Cap! Let's do this one!!!" Libra says, dragging her boyfriend to a game.
Cap's eyes widened when he saw which game they were going to play. "Hell no," he says.
"Please! It's my favorite!" she begged.
Cap shook his head. "Y'know I'm not good at dancing," he says, gesturing a hand to the dancing game called Dance Dance Revolution.
Libra groaned. "Fine, I'll ask Pisces to dance with me or whatever," she mumbled, walking away.
She didn't realize that Cap could hear her though. "What? No, no, nevermind. I'll play it with you," he says, putting two quarters in.
Libra got happy and hugged him tight as he smiled now. She went to the right side, and Cap was on the other. Libra chose the song, of course.
"Okay, so you know how to play, right?" she asks him, pulling a strand of her short brown hair behind her ear.
He nodded. "Yep. Step on whichever arrow they tell us to."
Libra nodded her head and grabbed his hand. "See? You might do great after all! You might even beat me," she smiled and squeezed his hand. Capricorn smiled at her as they were both looking at each other now, all googly eyed. That was until Libra ruined the moment.
"Sike!" she shouts as she already started dancing.
Capricorn was still shocked. He didn't know the game even started! "You distracted me!"
"Did I?" Libra says, not missing one beat and keeping her eyes on the screen, "Whoops."
Capricorn groaned and was stumbling on each beat. I knew I shouldn't had played this fucked up game, he thought.
Then, he finally made a plan. He grabbed Libra's hand as she was dancing, but she didn't mind it. She knew she could still win even with distractions. She was a great dancer after all. He twirled Libra around all the way over to his side of the game as she was laughing, and Cap moved to her side. Libra kept on dancing until she realized Cap tricked her.
"Wait a minute-" she shouted.
Cap was dancing on her side now, missing most of the beats, but still winning the side that Libra was on now. "Shh! Let's play the game," Cap winked.
Libra tried pushing him, but due to the fact that Cap was stronger and taller than Libra he stopped her from getting back to her spot.
"You cheated!" she shouted, pointing a finger at him.
Cap looked at her now. "Did I?" He went back to missing most of the beats and getting some right. "Whoops," he says with an innocent look.
Libra tried jumping him, but this only caused Cap to carry her up bridal style, and Libra couldn't get away from his grip.
"You're missing the beats!" Libra yelled.
"Shh! I'm trying to win!" he says, carrying Libra and stepping on the wrong beats on purpose this time.
Before Libra could say anything else, the game was over. The side where Cap and Libra were right now said "Winner!" Cap smirked down at Libra who was pouting and finally put her down.
"Would you look at that," Cap says, pointing to the screen he was at that was previously Libra's side. "I guess I did beat you!"
"No! This was my side first, so I won!"
Cap shrugged. "Don't have to be a sore loser, Lib," he says, walking away and smirking.
Libra stayed there for a while frowning then went to catch up with him.
°°°
"So how's your birthday so far?" Cancer asks Scorpio, poking his abdomen.
Scorpio shrugged. "It's alright. Thanks, Can-"
"Just alright? What? Is it because the Fire Signs are here? Shit, I knew I should've said it was okay for them to stay home-"
"No, Cancer! It's great like this. Thank you so much," he says, smiling.
That made Cancer smile. She pulled him into a tight hug while he was laughing, knowing he might lose oxygen laughing and being hugged so tight.
Scorpio finally left Cancer's tight grip, settling a smile across his face. Another person decided to join in with them. It was Pisces, Taurus, and Aquarius. Aquarius was holding a cute, fluffy teddy bear that was about half Virgo's short size.
"Hey, guys," Aquarius says, walking up to the blonde girl and dark-haired boy.
Cancer was waving. "Hey, are you guys having fun?"
Aqua was squeezing her bear. "Yeah. Pisces got me a bear," she says, kissing the bear's nose.
Taurus shrugged. "I could've done it, but I ran out of quarters."
"You gave me all your quarters to win her a bear- Ow!"
Taurus elbowed Pisces' gut, so he could shut up. That obviously worked. He then smiled at both Scorpio and Cancer.
"Where's everyone else? I don't think I saw everybody which is weird because I saw everybody leave the house," Cancer started saying, attemtping to touch Aqua's new bear, but recieving a smack on the hand.
"Well Virgo and Leo are playing a game together. Weird, yeah, I know," Pisces was saying. "Aries and Sag are playing some game. I saw Libra and Cap playing a game not too long ago. And I haven't seen Gemini..." he was sheepishly rubbing his arm at the thought of her.
"It's fine. I saw Gem. She was talking up some guy by the basketball game," Aquarius says. "Let's go say hi to her!" she says, grabbing Pisces' and Taurus' hands.
Pisces' eyes widened. He didn't want to see Gemini yet. He wasn't ready for that. Taurus saw how uncomfortable he was, and did the only thing a friend could do.
"Actually," Taurus was saying, putting an arm around Pisces, "we were actually about to play another game. Basketball is too boring. Like, why does the ball have to be orange? Why not teal? Or gray?"
"Or lavender," Pisces jumps in.
"Or clear!"
"That's ball discrimination," Pisces says, wrapping his arm around Taurus too as they were looking at Aquarius with a "what a shame" look on their faces.
Aquarius looked at the two boys with weird looks. They were both smirking and had their arm around each other while Aqua was still holding both of their other hands.
She blinked. "You guys are weird." She left to go find Gem, leaving Pisces, Taurus, Scorpio, and Cancer there.
Taur and Pi looked at each other and shrugged while Cancer was laughing. "She's not wrong."
Taurus ignored what she said and saw something shiny in Scorpio's black jacket. He decided to take it without permission. It was Scorpio's car keys along with the mansion's key and other keys for whatever thing he had.
"Ooh! That's cool," Taurus says, looking at the scorpion keychain.
Usually, Scorpio would've snapped if someone took anything from his pocket, but he was fine with the three of them. Plus, it was his birthday. There's no time to go off.
Pisces snatched it from Taurus' hand, making him growl at him. "That is cool. Where'd you get that from?" he asks, amusing the keychain with Taurus.
Scorpio smirked. "Cancer gave it to me," he says.
Cancer's eyes shot open. "No, I didn't! I mean, I should've, but I didn't," she said with all honesty.
Scorpio gave her a look of confusion. "Did you not put a small box on my bed before the party? I saw it when I was going to sleep after the whole surprise party you threw for me," he says, sounding completely confused.
Cancer shook her head. "Nope."
"If she's not going to take credit, I will. I bought it for you, you're welcome, buddy!" Taurus says, pulling Scorpio in for a bro hug.
Scorpio was too confused to even hug back. "Wait, then who got it for me?" he asks, then looking at Taurus with a serious face, "For real."
Pisces shrugged. "Don't know. Oh, and no offense, but this conversation is kind of boring, so we're just gonna go now," he says, tugging on Taurus' arm to find another game to play. Scorpio was still left confused.
"Hey, don't worry too much about it. It was probably Lyra or something," Cancer says.
Scorpio shook his head. "Yeah, maybe," he saif. "I just thought that you did it."
That made Cancer feel kind of guilty. She decided to brush it off anyway. "I still can't believe Leo and Virgo are playing a game together," she says, changing the subject.
Scorpio chuckled at the thought and started to walk with Cancer. "Trust me. They'll be arguing any second now."
°°°
"Leo! You didn't have my back on that one!" Virgo screamed in his ear and punching his arm.
Leo was still shooting zombies while Virgo was already dead. "Sorry! Play again- Ah, shit!" he screamed as the zombie almost got him.
"No, I'm playing another game anyway," she says, taking the 3D glasses off and walking somewhere else.
"Wait! Virgo!" Leo yelled, still killing zombies with his gun, "Virgo!!!!"
No answer.
Leo groaned. "Ugh! Waste of a quarter," he mumbled, taking his 3D glasses off and placing the gun back, neglecting the game he was still in the middle of.
He then ran to Virgo who was looking for a new game for her to play. "Virgo! Wait!" he shouts, running over to her.
She turned around and frowned. "Don't follow me."
Leo put a dramatic hand over his heart. "What? I thought we were playing together!"
Virgo shrugged. "Yeah, just that one game, but we were only playing because you were following me!"
"Can you just go one day admitting that you love me like everybody else?" Leo says, batting his eyelashes.
Virgo rolled her eyes and went somewhere else while Leo was still following her. She then finally ran into Aquarius.
"Aqua! Hey! Play a game with me! Leo's following me," she demanded, dragging Aqua's hand to a game before she could say anything else.
Before Leo could even find Virgo again, he gave up anyway and went to find Sag and Aries. They were playing Manhunt. It was a game where basically they're supposed to find each other and kill each other and other innocent people for more points. So far, Sag has been winning the last four games.
"There you guys are! I was looking for you," Leo says, hugging his two best friends.
"Move!" Sag and Aries shout at the same time. They were too busy trying to beat each other that they didn't care that Leo was there.
"Rude," Leo mumbled under his breath.
"Sorry. Love you," Sag says.
Leo was happy again. "Aw, I love you too!" he says, ready to hug her again.
She took the 3D glasses off. "Not you. I meant Aries. I killed him, and I won again!" she bragged.
Aries took his off and rolled his eyes. "Yeah, love you too," he mumbled.
"Can we play a game where the three of us can play?" Leo asked.
Sag shrugged her shoulders. "I don't see why not. C'mon! I know which one we can do," she says, pulling both of the boys' hands to her favorite game.
"The fuck is this?" Aries asks, looking at the arcade game in front of them. There were four games for multiplayers.
She stood by one of them in the middle. "My favorite game, duh! I used to always play this back at home when I was a teenager," she says, wiggling the red joystick.
Leo laughed. "You still are a teenager."
"Almost 20, and that's adult enough," she quickly retorted.
Leo stood beside her while Aries stood beside Leo. "So how do you play this game?" Aries asks.
Sag was already pulling out three quarters from her sweatpants pocket. "Just control wherever you're going," she says, handing the boys each a quarter.
Leo chuckled. "That easy, huh?"
Sag shrugged. "It's harder than it seems. But I'm a master. Maybe I'll go easy on you two," she says with a huge grin.
Aries scoffed. "Sure. Whatever you say, Sagittarius."
Sag just smirked while Leo was smirking with her. He didn't even know why. He's just weird like that.
The three of them were playing the game, and Sagittarius ended up winning.
"What the fuck!" Aries screamed, banging his hands on the game when Sagittarius won.
Sagittarius gave him a toothy grin. "I was going easy on you guys," she says, shrugging her shoulders.
"I came in 2nd place. How does it feel to be in last place, loser?" Leo says, pointing a finger and laughing at Aries.
Aries smacked Leo aside his head. "Shut up, Leo."
Sagittarius was getting more quarters now. "So, are we playing again or what?"
Aries shook his head. "Nope. Not me."
Sag frowned. "Since when have you been a quitter? It's never okay to quit," she says, crossing her arms in disappointment.
"Except when you're quitting heroine, cigarettes, cocaine-"
Leo got smacked in the head again but this time by Sagittarius. "Shut up, Leo."
Aries laughed and fist bumped Leo. "See? Leo knows that it's okay to quit sometimes," he says, smiling.
Sag rolled her eyes. "You guys are unbelievably annoying."
"But you love us!" Leo says, hugging her.
"I love beating you losers. Now play with me again!" she demanded, pushing Leo off of her.
Aries groaned. "Let's just play another game, Sag."
Sag pouted. "No," she says, in her stern voice.
"Come on," Aries begged.
"No."
"Please?"
"No."
Leo rolled his eyes. "You're starting to sound like Virgo."
Leo gets smacked in the head from the behind. He turned around to see who did it this time.
"Shut up, Leo," Virgo says, continuing to walk away pass him now with Aquarius and Gem.
Leo puts his hands up in a strangling motion. "Why is everybody smacking me today!?"
Sag ignored what he just said. "So we're playing or what?"
Leo threw his hands up in surrender. "No way, I don't like this game."
Sagittarius slouched down. "You only don't like it because you know you can't win!"
"Exactly!"
Sag pouted again and crossed her arms. Aries decided to walk over to her. "Let's just play another game. We can play again before we leave or something," he said, giving into his best friend's puppy dog face.
She pouted again and started batting her lashes, giving them a sad face. This made Leo and Aries feel guilty. "Ugh! Fine! One game, and then we're playing another," Aries says, digging in his pocket for three quarters.
Sag smiled now and hugged him. "Thanks!" she says, backing away quickly and taking a quarter.
Aries groaned as he went to put his in. Leo just decided he'll keep on playing too since they were. It was like he didn't have a choice when his friends were doing something together. He always felt like he was supposed to join too.
"Can one of you guys move so Cancer and I can play?"
The three of them whipped their heads around to see who it was. Scorpio, of course. Sagittarius just smiled at him.
"Sure, you can take our spots-" Leo was saying and backing up until he was interrupted.
"No. You're playing," Sag cuts him off, and pulls his arm back towards her and where the arcade game was at.
"But I don't want to pl-"
"Yes, you do," she says, giving him a death stare.
Leo huffed and puffed as he finally put his quarter in.
Sagittarius looked back at Scorpio and smiled again. "So you're playing too or what?" she asks him, totally ignoring Cancer's presense.
Scorpio scoffed. "Me and Cancer are playing."
There were only four games and Sag, Leo, and Aries all took up three spaces leaving for one more. Sag shrugged her shoulders. "Okay, she can play too. Just after me and my friends finish," she says, wiggling the joystick.
Scorpio rolled his eyes at her stubborness. He then gestured to Leo. "I thought you were playing with Virgo," he mentioned.
Leo sighed. "Yeah, she hates me again. It was fun while it lasted," he mumbled.
"Called it," Scorpio whispered to Cancer who started laughing now.
"So are we not playing? You said we could play again some other time," Sag says, tapping on the game next to her.
Aries groaned. "Does it matter? Can we click play now? You don't need to play with the scorpion, Sag," he says, drawing a hand down his face in annoyance. "That's what we're here for."
Scorpio furrowed his eyes. "Actually, sure. I'm playing," he says, getting a quarter and putting it in the slot. It was obvious he only agreed on playing to piss Aries off.
He took the game that was left which was beside Sag. Leo and Aries groaned at the fact Scorpio was there playing with them. It was as bad as it was to play the game itself. They hated losing more than anything.
"Watch and learn, Cancer. The game isn't as easy as it looks," Sag says, cracking her knuckles.
"Yeah, for you," Scorpio says.
She turned to glare at him. "You wish."
"Wanna bet that I could win again?" Scorpio says, squinting his eyes at her.
Sag gave an evil smile. "I thought you didn't do bets."
He shook that comment off. The countdown was already starting. "If I win, you have to pay for my dinner tonight," he says.
Sag rolled her eyes. "Yet you still make the lamest bets. Okay, Scorpy," she says, making him flinch at the annoying nickname, "if I win, you're getting drunk tonight with all of us," she says, putting a hand out for him to shake.
Scorpio gave her a look in disbelief as he took her hand. "How is that even a good bet?"
The time was down to 10 seconds.
Sag shrugged. "You're more funner when you're drunk."
"More funner isn't even a word."
Sag ended the handshake, and pointed at him. "The fun Scorpio wouldn't correct me on shit like that," she says, turning to the game that was three seconds now.
When the game started, first, Leo was taking the lead. He was in first place with Sag in second, Scorpio in third, and Aries far behind. Aries literally gave up, and decided to talk to Cancer instead as the game was still going. He just stopped caring.
Sag passed Leo, and Leo was reaching over to Sag's joystick to throw her off. She managed to stay in first place. Leo was too busy trying to cheat his way to win that Scorpio took over his second place.
"Fuck!" Leo yelled as he went back to his game. Sag laughed.
Leo was trying to get in front of Scorpio, but it was no use because Scorpio got in front of Sag. Sag was mumbling incoherent words as Scorpio was smirking. Aries and Cancer were both still talking which distracted Leo since he was so close to them.
In the end, Scorpio won the game with Sagittarius in 2nd, Leo in 3rd, and Aries who was just the loser.
"What the hell?!" Sag shouts, banging her hands on the game. She groaned and tugged on her hair.
Scorpio was laughing. "I'm pretty sure someone was going to pay for my dinner anyway," he says.
Sag just growled at him.
"Aries, you didn't even try!" Leo says, turning to Aries.
Aries and Cancer stopped talking. Then he shrugged his shoulders and went back to talking to her again.
Leo rolled his eyes. Then he grabbed Sag's hand, "C'mon, let's play another game, so Scorpio and Goldilocks can play," he says, attemtping to leave.
"One more time!" Sag begged, putting up a finger to state once more.
Leo groaned. Before he could even say anything, Sag and Scorpio were already putting their coins in. He turned around to look at Aries and Cancer still talking. He groaned again. "Fine then, I'll play again," he says, getting a quarter.
"Too late. The game already started," Sag says, eyes fixated on the screen.
Leo put his quarter back in his pocket and frowned. He turned back to Aries and Cancer. "So guys," he says, wrapping an arm around the both of them, "what are we talking about?"
"Pisces," Cancer says.
Leo didn't even bother asking why or what about Pisces. He was too bored of the subject already. "Okay, let's talk about something else. Let's talk about me!" he says, clapping his hands together.
Aries and Cancer looked at Leo and blinked. They looked right back at each other and continued to talk again. Basically, Cancer was going on and on about how Pisces and Gem would be so great together while Aries hated the idea. He didn't like the idea of Gemini going out with anybody really. Of course he didn't say that, but he did strongly disagree. Leo got bored of the conversation that he zoned out.
Damn. Is this how people feel when I'm talking, he thought. Then he shook his head. Nah, I'm far more interesting to be ignored anyway.
That was until he realized that hw was being ignored. He was moaning and whining of boredom. "Can someone give me attention?" he complained, leaning on the game.
Nobody answered him. Scorpio and Sag were too busy playing their game while Cancer and Aries were still talking about relationships. Lame, Leo thought.
"I'm going to find Virgo. At least she'll give me attention," he says, crossing his arms and walking away. The four didn't even realize or care that he left.
Leo was looking for Virgo now. He remembered last seeing her with Gem and Aquarius. He was looking around groups of people then facepalmed. I forget finding short people are going to take as long as finding an ant on your kitchen counter, he thought.
Then, he finally found her. She was with Pisces and Taurus now.
What do I want to argue about today? he thinks. He tapped on his chin and shrugged. It'll come to me.
"Hey, Virgo, do you wanna play another game?" he asks, walking up to her and her friends.
She rolled her eyes and turned back to Pisces and Taurus. Leo decided to squeeze in between Pisces and Taurus. "Hey, guys!"
"Hey, Leo," Pisces says.
Virgo rolled her eyes. "Can you get away from me and my friends now?" she asks, crossing both of her arms.
Leo gave a look to show he was offended. "Um, we're friends too!"
"No, we're n-"
"C'mon, guys. Let's bond!" Leo says, pulling Taurus' and Pisces' arms. The two boys decided not to fight it because they already knew that whatever Leo wants, Leo gets.
Virgo rolled her eyes and followed the three of them. "Fine. We're all playing one game, and then we're done," she ordered.
Leo shrugged his shoulders. "Okay, fine. Which game are we playing?" he asks, letting go of Pisces and Taur.
Pisces shrugged his shoulders. "Doesn't really matter," he says.
"Let's play The Revival," Taurus says, pointing to the game.
Virgo shook her head. "No. I already played it, and it's not that good."
"It's only not good because you died!" Leo laughed.
She crossed her arms. "Yeah, and you were supposed to kill the zombie behind me!"
"Oops," Leo says, acting all innocent. Virgo glared at him.
"Okay, well, I want to play, so we're playing," Taurus says, getting quarters from his pockets.
"Fine," mumbled Virgo. She walked over to one of the games beside Taur, and Leo took the one beside her.
Soon, they all had their quarters in and 3D glasses on, ready to play. "Try not to let me die again, idiot," Virgo says, cutting her eyes at Leo.
Leo just smirked and nodded as a response. They were all playing now, and Leo killed basically almost all of the zombies for everybody. It pissed Virgo off.
"Let me kill some!" she said.
Leo laughed. "Okay, bossy."
Virgo growled at him, but was able to kill without all of Leo's help. Pisces was almost close to dying, but Taurus had his back with that one.
Then, there was a wave of zombies approaching. Leo and Virgo took on most of them, and Taurus ended up dying, swearing at the game itself. Pisces ended up dying after Taurus did, so there was only Leo and Virgo left playing.
"What the fuck?!" Pisces swears, seeing his screen saying "Game Over!"
Taurus put a hand on his shoulder. "It's okay, Fisher. It's okay."
Pisces shrugged Taurus off of him and leaned on the game, waiting for Leo and Virgo to die already. They finally made it to the bonus level.
"You take the left side, I'll take the right," Virgo says, eyes not leaving the screen.
"Okay, bossy."
"I'm not bossy!"
Leo smirked with his eyes still fixated on the games and killing the zombies. "Whatever you say... bossy," he mumbled so that Virgo couldn't hear.
He was killing all the zombies on the left side one by one while Virgo did a great job killing them all from the right. Then, the hard part finally happened. Zombies were approaching literally out of no where, Leo almost died in the game until Virgo had his back on one of them.
"We're almost there. We're almost there..." Virgo says, shooting and turning her positions faster.
Leo took his 3D glasses off and smacked them at the screen. "Fuck!" he yelled, dropping the gun too.
"We were so close! How did that even happen-"
Virgo was cut off by Pisces. "So another game or-"
"No," Virgo says, cutting him back off.
Leo was groaning. "We were so close, ugh!"
Virgo was taking her glasses off now. "I know..."
They were silent for a while. Leo and Virgo looked at each other, and they both had the same idea spreaded across their faces.
"So again?" Virgo suggested.
"Duh!" Leo already got two quarters for him and Virgo.
Taurus and Pisces' eyes both widened. "Are they actually having fun playing with each other, or am I just seeing things?" Taurus whispered to Pisces.
Pisces just shrugged, watching Leo and Virgo put their glasses back on.
"You guys playing or what?" Virgo asks her best friends, getting her gun ready.
Taurus shook his head. "Nope," he says. Then he turned back to Pisces. "They'll be arguing any second. Let's not be here when that happens."
Pisces nodded and left with Taurus to some other game now. Virgo and Leo didn't even notice they were gone because they were too busy on trying to beating the bonus and final level. Sadly, they kept losing about eight times before they left the arcade.
But I guess it's safe to say that everybody had a fun time.
