Taurus' POV

It was the next morning and I was at my own house. All the zodiacs left to their own houses last night. We're just not so sure about Sagittarius. Everything here was kind of boring now that we weren't doing anything that concerns a mystery anymore. Even if it was just for one day, I miss going undercover about the whole Ophiuchus thing. No one knew about it except me, Pi, and V. I started to text Virgo to see what she was up to.

V 🌍

T: hey V. wyd

V: getting ready

T: for what?

V: Ophiuchus

T: wdym? i thought we finished it

V: this is just the beginning. meet me at the library in 10

T: okay see u later

I stand corrected! We are doing more mysteries. I just hate going to the library all the time. It's too much reading. I get dressed in a red sweater, black pants, and black boots. It's pretty casual, but perfect for this weather and season. I brush my teeth and wash my face. I then run down the stairs and grab my keys and two green apples.

I was already inside the library and Virgo was only there. I sit beside her. "Where's Pi?"

"He's not in this mission. Yet. So this is between me and you," she whispers to me.

I nodded. I pulled out one of my apples and started munching on it. Virgo just sat reading a book on Ophiuchus. She then looks at me frustrated. "You're not allowed to eat here. Especially this loud," she says to me.

I look at my apple and then at her. "I'm not even chewing loud." She stared daggers at me as I took another bite of my apple. "Not like they can kick me out anyway," I said. I fucking jinxed it.

"You can't eat that here," a voice behind me said.

I turned around to see who it was. Just some old lady. "Who are you?" I asked not realizing that sounded rude.

"The librarian. Now please throw it away, I don't want to make a scene."

I stared at her then at my apple. The other librarian in the other world didn't mind if I ate. Then again, I never go to the library, so I wouldn't really know.

"Can it just wait? I'm almost finished," I say to her. She just looked at me with her arms crossed and wrinkles in her face frowning.

"Just go outside and eat it, Taur," Virgo says going back to her book.

I huffed and puffed. "Fine," I said looking at Virgo and then the old lady with devil eyes. I walk outside to finish my apple. People probably thought that I was overreacting, but it's an apple. And most importantly a green one! I can't waste that.

I was sitting on the concrete munching my apple to the core. I then got up and went to throw it away to the nearest trash bin. I couldn't find one so I decided to walk all the way behind the library. I heard familiar voices as I walked behind there. It was just Pisces and Gem. They weren't right beside the library, but they were walking and talking across the street from it. I smiled at the thought of Pi and Gem together. I know that Pi likes Gem, and from the looks of it, it looks like Gem likes him too. They were both laughing talking about who knows what.

I was still smiling for Pi. I guess that's why Virgo didn't invite him to come along with us. He and Gem were walking away out of my sight, so I went to the trash bin to throw my apple core away. When I turned back around someone scared the living shit out of me.

"Hey," Aquarius said standing about 4 inches away from me.

I opened my eyes really big startled at the fact she was standing close to me. "What the hell are you doing here?" I ask her not noticing I was being rude.

She looked at me in my eyes and I tried to look away because we were way too close together. "Are you and V still trying to figure out Ophiuchus?" she asked me.

"No," I lied now successfully looking away and moving past her.

"You're lying to me," she says staying where she was but turning to look at me.

I stopped walking and turned back around. "You know she doesn't want you in on this."

"I don't care what Virgo wants," she says to me. "I'm helping." Her arms were crossed now.

"Nope," I said. "You're not."

"I am."

"Nope."

"Yes."

"No way."

"Uh-huh."

"No."

"No."

"Yes," I said.

Aqua smirked at me and I was realizing why. It took me a minute.

"Oh, wait!" I yelled out not realizing I was loud. I shook my head and looked to the ground. "Okay! Fine! But don't tell her I said you're in. Follow me inside and follow through a plan or something," I say to her. "You're good at improv, right?"

"I've taken theater before," she responded shrugging.

"That doesn't sound reliable, but okay. I'll let you in."

She smiles then hugs me. "Thank you, Taur."

I hug her back. "Now let's go," I said trying to end it as soon as possible.

After she nodded at me I walked back inside the library and found Virgo still reading a book about Ophiuchus. I sit beside her.

"Welcome back," she says to me eyes still glued on the book.

"Found anything?" I asked her.

"Actually, yes. I did," she said looking at me smiling. She then started to frown as she looked behind me.

"What are you guys doing?" Aquarius asked us.

"How did you get here?" I asked keeping our plan undercover.

"I followed you. You never go to the library," she responded with. Wow she's a great actress she would be perfect to go on undercover with us. "Are you guys still trying to figure out Ophiuchus?" she asked looking at the book Virgo had in her hands.

Virgo sighed. "Yes. We are."

"I want to help," she said sternly.

"No," Virgo says now closing her book with a bookmark in it. "You'll be stressed out, and it'll all be my fault. I'm going to fix this problem."

Aquarius looked at her. I know her as well as Virgo did. She will not take no for an answer.

"Scoot over, foodie," she says using her hands to set my chair farther away for all three of us to sit on one side. She pulls up a chair and sits in it. "I'm helping wheather you need it or not."

Virgo looked like she was about to explode. Aquarius really is a great actress. I'm impressed. "Fine. But if things get too out of hand, I'm taking over again," Virgo says to her opening her book back to the page it was on before. She studies a page and shows it to me and Aqua.

"'If Ophiuchus gets crossed to the other world, all hell will break loose. Literally, in fact. The gates keeping us inside are just as thick as how thin they are outside,'" Aqua reads. She looked up at Virgo. "I don't know what that means," she says shrugging.

"Me neither. It's an oxymoron. But it makes no sense," Virgo said studying the page some more.

"What's an oxymoron?" I ask Virgo.

I look at Aqua who was answering the question for me instead. "It's using two opposite words in the same sentence to describe something. 'Thick' and 'thin'. What do they mean by that?" she asks scrunching her brows together in confusion and thinking.

I studied the page some more. Thick gates to stay inside, but are thin to go
outside. I think I finally got it. "Maybe it's not literally," I say. "Maybe it's saying it's hard to be inside to begin with, but easier to get out?" I wasn't sure anymore if I was asking myself or them.

Virgo smiled at me. "I think the foodie is right," Aqua says smirking.

"But is there a literal gate? I know it's not literally thick or thin, but could there actually be a gate in this world to seperate us from the other?" I ask still not knowing if I'm asking myself or them.

"I don't know," Virgo says now frowning. "It doesn't say."

Aquarius started to smile. "You guys up for a little exploring?" she asked us with lit eyes.

I smiled back at her and I feel Virgo's tension on the book dim. We're going to discover something new.
