= CHAPTER FORTY-THREE - ... (JOE) =

:January 15th, XX47; Wednesday.

:BIG TWIST.

•~~~~•

"So we got science, ... math, and, uh..."

"English homework," Oliver smiled.

"Ah. Right." Joe smiled back at his boyfriend. It was the end of the day now, the two were standing by the latter's locker, packing up and getting ready to leave. And Joe was actually pretty excited to go home, because it was his dad's birthday.

Usually his and Sage's family didn't get together to celebrate his father's birthday, but they hung out for his dad's. They just ate cake and played games and then Sage would stay over the night for a sleepover, even if it was school night. So this, of course, meant that he could just chill in his room with Sage and probably his uncles for a bit.

...Yet, for some reason, he wasn't actually that excited to be around Sage. Just his uncles. He really needed to stop having these weird thoughts that Sage was gonna, like- steal Oliver away from him. He wasn't gonna do that.

Probably.

"I'll see you tomorrow, then?" Oliver suddenly asked, snapping Joe out of his thoughts.

"Oh, yeah, of course."

The two leaned forward and gave each other a quick peck on the lips, and then with another grin, Joe walked away over to Sage- who was by the front doors at this point- so they could walk home together.

"Excited to stay up way too late on a school night?" Sage smirked at him, and Joe chuckled, shrugging.

"It's not any different from my dad's other birthday celebration things."

"That's true. And- oh, are that my parents up there?"

The two stopped to look at a very familiar car up at the front of the school when they exited it, and suddenly they saw Sage's pop stick his head out the window and wave to them. With a small laugh, both began walking towards it, then throwing their bags in the backseat and climbing in.

"I didn't know you guys were picking us up," Sage commented as he got his seatbelt on.

"We thought we might as well, since we're all headed for the same place," Sage's pop grinned at them. "How was school?"

"Decent. Just normal, really," Joe shrugged, Sage nodding along.

"Have you guys heard any word on the spring musical?"

"Yep! I think auditions are next week but we don't know what it is yet. Not sure if they've even decided."

"Huh. Well, you're both gonna do that together? The classic tech and actor duo?"

Joe smiled. "As usual. I'll probably get Oliver to do tech with me again, it was fun last time."

"Roman, you already turned our son into a theatre kid, I can't believe you're doing it to Joe as well," Sage's dad commented. His husband scoffed at him.

"Tough talk for someone who willingly married an actor."

"You're just an adult theatre kid. A Disney adult, to put it nicely."

"That's not nice."

Sage's dad laughed underneath his breath, and Joe smiled to himself, then looking out the window and soon they were pulling up to his house. All four of them got out of the car and began walking towards the door, Joe just opening it since that's what he was used to. The other three filed in behind them.

"Logan~, Patton~!" Roman called out in a sing-song voice as he entered. They all discovered Joe's parents sitting on the couch together, holding hands, seeming a bit distressed, but the look wiped off their faces as soon as they saw Sage's pop. Joe noticed that Remy and Emile were sitting causally on the couch next to his parents. Emile waved at him with a smile.

"Hey, you guys!" Joe's dad got up from the couch, still holding his husband's hand, who walked with him as they both went to greet Sage's parents. The four of them shared hugs, and Joe ran over to the couch to sit with his uncles, Sage coming and joining him, now getting pretty good at recognizing when Remy and Emile were present.

"It's really a party, huh?" Remy commented, glancing over to where the living adults were standing. "Only person who isn't here is Janus. Luckily."

"I'm guessing he'll never show up again if you have your way, will he?" Emile commented, raising an eyebrow.

"Hell yeah. Fuck Janus."

Joe raised an eyebrow at the two of them, but then he just smiled to himself. It was a party.

•~~~~•

The hours flew by. Everyone ended up playing The Game of Life together, which seemed a bit tricky at first since there were six of them and Joe's parent's game box only had four cars in it, but the married adults were able to join forces to make their own team, which lead Sage and Joe to team up as well, which also lead Remy to try and play along with the fourth car but he was soon stopped by Emile when Joe's parents got freaked out by the unused car tipping over multiple times. They played a few more games after that, and then they all had dinner, and soon enough, Sage's parents had gone home and the kids were left up in Joe's room with Joe's uncles. Sage had gotten the ghost camera set up, and that was where they were now.

"So- how old is your dad now, then, Joe?" Remy asked, leaning against a wall while the teenagers sat on the floor together.

"Uh, 47, I think. I mean, all of you guys were born in XX00 so figuring out age is pretty convenient, actually. Just gotta remember if the person has had their birthday yet or not."

"That's true. Hm, I remember in the first book when it said Logan was already eighteen... I guess that was a lie, technically."

"What?"

"Nothing."

Joe stared up at him. His uncle was... weird, to put it lightly.

"Did we have homework due tomorrow?" Sage suddenly asked. Joe grimaced- not from homework, but from him. Now that they were alone, he just wanted his brain to shut up... nothing it was telling him to do was a good idea. Nope.

"Uh, we had homework, but none of it's due tomorrow," Joe answered him. He got out his phone.

"Okay, phew. Oh- wow, are you texting your boyfriend?" Sage smirked and pushed his shoulder, teasing. Joe chuckled a bit and pushed him back.

"I'm not, I'm not. I just wanted something to look at."

"Yeah. You'll have forever to be able to get together with him, though, I guess that's right."

Joe blinked. Right- Sage didn't know about Oliver moving... and Oliver actually asked Joe to tell Sage for him, so maybe now was a good time to bring that up.

"Hah... well, about that."

"Oh? What's going on?"

"He, uh, he asked me to tell you about this- his parents are kinda... getting divorced so he's either gonna end up moving to Nevada or Maryland in a couple months or so."

Sage was silent, eyes slightly wide and eyebrows raised. They then furrowed, and he cursed underneath his breath.

"Shit... damn, I feel sorry for him as it is but that just sucks. I at least hope he can make more friends- of course, we can still keep in touch, but y'know, school could get lonely."

"Totally."

That answer, for some reason, sent a chill down Joe's spine. Why? Simple: it wasn't enough.

It felt like Sage should've been more sympathetic- more sad. Just more. He had to be hiding something- he brought up the new friends thing immediately, was that him assuming him and Joe were breaking up? Because they weren't. They sure as hell were not. Never.

This was moving fast. But maybe he was just meant to know nothing more, ever... maybe Joe's mind was right all along.

Joe continued to stare at Sage, and he was talking- his lips were moving, but Joe wasn't really processing what he was saying. He then mumbled that he was gonna go to the bathroom, and he stood up then, while Sage was in mid-sentence, leaving the room. He stood outside the door for a moment as it closed slowly behind him, listening unintentionally on what the other three in the room had to say about his absence.

"...I recognize that glossy look in his eyes," Remy said, sounding a bit nervous.

Sage gulped. "Yeah, is he okay, or-?"

"Rem, go follow him," Emile said.

"Yup."

Joe started walking as his uncle exited the room and began walking behind him. He heard him mumble something along the lines of this not being in the plan.

"So... any reason you're going to the bathroom, Joseph?"

Joe reached the door. He gripped the handle.

"...There's scissors in the bathroom."

He opened the door. Remy gasped, and he immediately rushed in in front of him, cursing to himself and trying to block Joe from opening the draw with the scissors in it, but Joe stuck his hand right through him and succeeded. He began towards the door again.

"Oh shit- no, Joe, come here-"

It was then that Remy shut the bathroom door himself and took a hold of Joe's wrists, also placing a hand on his shoulder and forcing him to stay still, despite how much he squirmed.

"Remy, let go of-"

"Okay- No, Joe, hey. Hey. Look at me, okay? Look at me. Sage is not the fucking reason that Oliver's parents are getting divorced." He spoke firmly.

"He's in love with Oliver."

"No, Sage is not in love with Oliver, you're in love with Oliver and you'll always be the only person in love with Oliver."

Joe groaned. "Argh- don't you get it, Remy?! Within the same week I found out Sage quote-un-quote used to have a crush on my boyfriend, and now my boyfriend is moving out of state. They're connected."

Remy huffed and kneeled, looking up at him. "They are not connected. Look at me, Joe. I do get it- I know this is scary. It's terrifying, and you're just trying to protect your boyfriend. And I've been in many situations like this before- but don't fucking murder your best friend, or else you're gonna end up like me and you'll wake up every morning here on out regretting the stupid things you did when you were a dumb kid. I know it doesn't seem like I do, but I have the power to stop Oliver from moving away, and I swear to god I'm gonna use it."

"...You do?"

"Yes. I can..." Remy glanced up, and then back to Joe with a sigh. "I can make Sage's parents adopt Oliver- that's the plan, uh-huh? That's literally the plan. Doesn't that sound nice? Sage and Oliver will be brothers, which means that they can't date each other and you'll have Oliver all to yourself. And when the two of you get married in the future, Sage will be alive to be your best man and then he'll be your brother-in-law. He's your best friend, isn't he? Don't murder him, please."

Joe didn't say anything. Remy reached up to his own face and took his sunglasses off.

"Please, kid. I'm fucking begging you not to do this."

Ugh.

"...Fine."

Remy sighed, a sigh of relief, and he placed his sunglasses back onto his face. He stood up, and then he materialized his hand once more, making Joe hold onto it. "Thank you- I'm serious, thank you. You're making the right choice. Come on, let's go back into your room now, mhm?"

"Mhm."

Remy opened the door and he lead Joe out of the bathroom, back into his room, where Sage and Emile both waited, concerned looks on their faces. Joe sat down next to Sage again.

"Are you good, man?" He asked. Remy and Emile whispered to each other in the background.

"Yeah, I'm fine."

"If you say so... oh, hey, you wanna play a game or something? I'm getting bored."

Remy seemed to resume the way he had been acting before he went into the bathroom. "Hah- y'all, all you do is play Minecraft these days, I swear."

"We didn't specify Minecraft," Sage chuckled.

"Well, what else is there for you to play?"

"Uh... Minecraft."

"See? I'm right. It's all you do."

"Well, that's kind of in part to the fact that Joe is terrible at it, as his best friend I'm trying to make him get better. Y'know?"

"Yeah, yeah, yeah." Remy smirked. "You can have all the excuses you want, but I know there's just nothing left for you two to otherwise pla-"

Remy stopped dead in his tracks. His eyes snapped to one place. Emile and Sage looked at him confusedly, but all Joe did was stare at Sage.

"...Oh my fucking god, I forgot to make sure he put those down."

"What?" Sage asked.

"He still has the scissors."

They were in his pocket. Joe grabbed them.

"The what?!" Emile's eyes widened. Sage continued to look into the camera, not seeing Joe approaching him.

"Oh my god- Sage, stop staring at us, fucking get up-"

"I don't understand what's going on..."

"You don't have to! Joe, he won't- Sage, literally just look at your best friend and stop-"

"Remy, what are you talking about?"

"Why won't you just turn around?!"

But just like how he had witnessed it in his youth... Remy couldn't prevent a death.

Joe barely registered what he was doing- it all happened so fast. The weapon went into Sage's heart- one, two, three, maybe four times, and everyone in the room was dead silent, even Sage, who fell back onto the floor with wide eyes, coughing and knocking the ghost camera over. Joe only watched as he breathed heavily, gripping onto the floor, terrified, until he lost his grip and his breaths went irregular and then his breathing stopped all together, blood spilling out from his chest the entire time.

No one moved. No one moved until after a few full minutes it registered in Joe's brain what he had just done, and once his best friend was truly dead in front of him by his own hand, Joe collapsed onto his best friend's chest, crying.

"Wh... w- woah-"

Sage's voice. Joe looked up with hope, but Sage's body didn't move. All he saw was his ghost sitting up and stumbling to a stand. Joe covered his mouth and stood up, too.

"Oh my god- you- you're a ghost! I can still talk to you! Oh thank god, I really thought I-"

"Get the fuck away from me, Joe!"

Joe tried to go forward, closer to him, but Sage backed up, staring him up and down, visibly shaking and almost hyperventilating. Joe let out a breath, and then he wiped his eyes.

"But- oh my god, I'm so sorry, Sage. I-I swear, I don't know why I did that, I didn't even realize I was doing it, I-"

"What the actual fuck, Joe?! You- you stabbed me! I'm seventeen, I- I had so much I could've- I'm dead because of you! What about my parents, what are they gonna think? What about your parents? My- my future, that you just took away from me? And what's your boyfriend gonna think? What-"

"You- you were in love with him, weren't you?!" Joe snapped.

"What the hell?! No! Oh my god, Joe, I told you I wasn't! Is that really your reason for killing me?! God, you treat him like a fucking object. He's a person. That is so twisted. And I- and now I'm dead because of that?!"

Joe wiped his eyes, again. The tears wouldn't stop flowing. "I- oh my- look, I'm sorry, okay?! I wish I wouldn't've done that, I swear! I wish I could just go back and-"

"Then why'd you do it?"

Joe blinked.

"Why, huh? You wanted to do it. You wanted me dead. You can't just go and change your mind after you've already stabbed me in the heart with a pair of scissors, that's not how it wor-"

"I'm sorry!"

"No you're not!"

"I am. I-I swear, I promise, I-"

"You're-"

Remy held a hand out in front of himself, and both of the kids froze in place. Time stood still- literally. The only beings in the world that blinked then were Remy and Emile.

"...Did- did you just pause time?" Emile mumbled.

"Yes. Yes I did, holy sh-"

"W-Well, if you can pause time, can't you rewind it?!"

"No! I mean, I don't know! I can't, Emile. I-"

"Remy, you promised you wouldn't write in Joe doing this!"

"I swear to god-" he removed his sunglasses and let them hang on his shirt, and then he grabbed both of Emile's hands. "I swear on everything, I swear on our marriage and my love for you and the little happy afterlife we tried to construct with each other, that I did not want this shit to happen. I promised Joe in the bathroom- I told him my exact, paraphrased plans for the rest of the book. I promised I'd make sure his boyfriend never moved and that they'd live a happy life together because that is something I do have the power to give them. It says specifically as the first thing for this chapter, and I'll show you if I have to, that 'No person will die, especially not by the hands of Joe', so this is not my own fucking doing. I promise."

Emile stared up at him, dejectedly. He shakily exhaled.

"...Then why did this all happen?"

Remy was silent. He looked down to the floor, eyebrows furrowed.

"I... forgot to make sure he left those scissors in the bathroom. But that was meant to happen, wasn't it?"

"What do you mean?"

"I mean that I was planning on telling you I was the one writing all of this when the story was following Joe or Logan- not me. I didn't choose that. I mean that Joe was never supposed to freak out when Sage mentioned he used to have a crush on Oliver. I mean he was never supposed to put that together with Oliver's parent's divorce and then fucking murder his best friend over it, because I specifically put in each chapter that he was never supposed to kill a single person. I mean that the two of them were supposed to re-bond this chapter so that Joe would stop having those goddamn urges. I mean..."

He glanced over to Joe and Sage, still frozen, Sage with his ghostly hands in the air and Joe wiping his eyes. They were mid-argue.

"...I think I'm losing my control, Emile."

"...Oh."

Both were silent.

"The author's coming back- oh, no, that makes sense."

"Doesn't it?!" Remy squeezed his hands. "It- it's okay. It's fine, yep, mhm, not like I just wanted to fucking have a happy, normal afterlife for once! But nope, I don't even deserve that much, do I?!"

"Remy..."

"Emerald... no, it's okay. I can fix this. I can fix this as much as I'm able to before I lose control over the situation completely. I have to."

Remy looked to the side for a moment, thinking, and then he got out his phone, and Emile looked over his shoulder as he pulled up the book's chapter notes and began typing into Chapter Forty-Three, in which Emile noticed most of the bullet points listed would have no possible way of occurring at that point.

"What are you doing?"

"I'm giving Sage a way to become alive again. When I unpause time, all we have to do is convince Sage to lay down in his body and focus on getting his soul back in there. He'll wake up with no bloody wound. We'll then hide the scissors, set them to go to a living therapist to repair their relationship, and after all that, you and I will remove ourselves from the equation."

He looked up, at you. "...It's about fucking time, isn't it?"

Emile stared at him, and then he sighed. "Rem... look, I-I know this is a high stakes situation but you can't just ghost Joe again. That'll make everything bad for him, and your problem with ghosting people has clearly been getting worse over the past few weeks. You've been showing signs of-"

"Does it look like I fucking care, Emile?!" He snapped.

"Yes! It does! I know you care about him, you think you're the reason he's doing all of this but it's not you."

"Goddamnit, I don't need to be psycho-analyzed right now, our nibling just murdered someone."

"Remy, please..."

"No."

They stared at each other. Emile looked him up and down, and then he sighed.

"...Fine. But we're talking about this more when we get home, okay?"

"Fine."

Emile grabbed Remy's hand as he put his phone away, and they looked each other up and down, uncertain about what was to come next with anything.

Time was unpaused.

"-not sorry, you did this because you wanted to!" Sage finished yelling.

Joe wiped his eyes once more. "I didn't! I don't know what came over me, I-"

"Alright. Look, y'all, this is getting out of hand, so I'm just gonna step in real quick here and-" Remy walked forward and placed a hand on Sage's shoulder, but Sage flinched and pushed him away.

"Don't touch me, you're a murderer, too!" He snapped.

Joe just watched as Remy blinked at him, and then he groaned, turning to his husband. "Emile?"

"I- Okay. Sage, I haven't murdered anyone and I've never thought to do it, can you please take a deep breath?" He walked forward as well, calmly, not touching Sage. The latter groaned.

"I-I can't take a deep breath, no, I-"

"Just try," He spoke softly. Sage stared slightly down at him, and then he breathed in a shakey breath, letting it out in a heavy sigh.

"O-Okay, I did it."

"Good. Now, listen to me. There's a way we can get you alive again."

"What-?" Joe mumbled. He looked towards Remy to see if he knew anything about this, but Remy wouldn't look back at him.

"There is-?"

"Yes. You just need to go lay back down in your body, and if you really focus on getting your soul back in there, you'll wake up in it, no wound, no nothing. Alive."

"Really?"

"Yes, really. I promise."

"O-Okay. Okay. I'll try it."

Joe backed up from Sage's body as he began to lay back down in it, positioning his hands and feet as close as he could get them to where they were before. He shuttered, and then he closed his eyes, taking a deep breath once more.

"Just focus on living. Keep taking deep breaths, Sage."

Joe bit the insides of his cheeks- this better work. He felt like such an awful human being, but this had to work.

Suddenly, Sage's body seemed to shine, and the ghostly hue surrounding it where Sage was laying slowly melted away. The hole in his chest stopped bleeding, and the body's eyes fluttered open. After Sage fully grounded himself once more he sat up with a start and looked behind him.

"Oh my- n- no, I can still see you guys, it didn't work!"

Emile let out a relieved sigh. "I- no, honey, it did. You're back in, you're alive. You just see us now."

Joe nodded along slowly, glancing up to Remy once more and still seeing he refused to look at him. Sage looked down at his hands, and then he let out another relieved sigh, feeling to make sure his heart was still beating- it was.

"Oh my god, Sage, I've never been so happy to see you-"

"Woah- woah woah woah, Joe, this doesn't mean I'm not pissed at you anymore, get the fuck back!"

Sage continued to cover his heart and he stepped back away from Joe. Joe huffed. "I- I'm sorry, okay?! How many times do I have to say it?!"

"This isn't something you can just apologize for and move on! I'm lucky to be alive right now, but you made it so it- it wasn't like that! Imagine what the hell would've happened!"

"But- but you're alive now!"

"No thanks to you!"

Joe hiccuped. "I- I'm so sorry, Sage. I'm so- I'm so sorry, okay?! I feel like such a shit person, I-"

"Because you are a shit person, Joe. I can't believe you're the one crying here."

"I know! I am! And-"

Remy huffed. "Can you two please quiet the fuck down for a second? You know you're not the only living people in this hou-"

"Joe?"

"...Speak of the devil."

Joe and Sage stopped their arguing and their gaze snapped towards Joe's doorway, where there was a knock and Joe's dad's voice.

"Are you guys okay? We can hear you arguing from downstairs."

Joe took a slow, shakey breath, glancing to where the scissors were- they were on the floor. It would be obvious what happened, Sage's shirt was still a bit torn and stained red as well. Joe's face probably had blood on it too from when he laid his head near Sage's wound. No one said a word.

"We're, uh, we're getting a bit worried..." his dad continued.

Joe and Sage made eye contact. The latter motioned for him to open the door, and Joe shook his head aggressively. Sage nodded aggressively back, but Joe stood in place.

Joe's dad sighed outside. "If you guys don't answer me I'm gonna open the door."

Sage mouthed for him to open the fucking door, Joe, but Joe still stood in place, and he just looked down to the ground, covering his mouth, heart beating faster than it ever had before, wondering what kind of trouble he was gonna get into for doing this and whether or not he'd ever be friends with Sage again.

The door began to click open. As soon as he could see in, Joe's dad's eyes went wide, snapping to the red, bloodied spot in Sage's chest, and the discarded scissors beneath him. Joe wiped his eyes. No one said a word, but his dad let out a very distressed breath.

"...Code red," He then mumbled, and Joe's father stuck his head in the doorway as well. And right then, everyone seemed to explode open.

Everyone was talking at once- Joe was stumbling through an apology, not sure who it was to, the ghosts were talking about how this was all going wrong even though the ghost camera seemed to be broken from falling over and only the teenagers could hear them, and meanwhile Joe's parents were trying to figure out what the actual hell had happened while they were downstairs, but Sage's voice rose up above the rest.

"-He stabbed me in the heart because his boyfriend's parents are getting divorced and he thinks it's my fault he's moving out of state and when I died I met his fully grown adult ghost friends who somehow got me back into my body and alive with no wound," Sage got out, everyone else slowly quieting as he spoke, Sage almost panting when he finished his sentence. Joe's dad blinked, mouth hanging open.

"Woah woah woah woah- okay. Okay. What?!" His eyes went back and forth between Sage and Joe.

"Joe murdered me. I met some ghosts. I'm alive now."

Joe's father's face seemed to drain of the rest of the color that was in it then. He leaned down to whisper something in his husband's ear, and then his eyes went wide, too.

"Oh... oh, gosh- Sage, who- who are these ghosts?"

Remy groaned in the background. Sage huffed.

"I... I can't remember their names right now because I'm kind of in shock from being stabbed but, uh-" he looked back towards the two. "...One is wearing like, a tie and a cardigan, and the other one has a leather jacket and-"

"Remy, I SWEAR to-" Joe's father pinched the bridge of his nose with a groan, and Joe's dad looked over to the area that Sage had looked, terrified. Remy stared back, even though the living adults couldn't see him.

Joe's father sighed. "...Remy, on behalf of the sanity of everyone in this room, can you please leave my child alone?"

Remy slowly nodded. He stumbled to put his sunglasses back on, as they were still hanging on his shirt, and then he grabbed Emile's hand, not even bothering to look back as he walked out towards Joe's window and left.

C'est la vi.

"Uh... they just left," Sage mumbled.

"Okay... okay." Joe's dad sighed. The room went quiet. Joe stared at the area where his uncles had left, and then he looked to the floor, sucking in his lips, trying his hardest not to start crying again. With some hesitation, Joe's dad walked into the room and slowly over to Sage.

"Alright... come on, Sage, I'll get you home."

"Thank you." Joe's dad hovered his hand behind Sage's back, not touching him, nodding at his husband as they walked out.

"You have to promise me you're not gonna tell anyone about this, though..." His voice faded as the two walked downstairs. Joe stared at the floor, still, it then only being him and his father. After a moment the latter walked over to Joe's nightstand and grabbed a tissue before making his way over to the scissors. He picked them up using the tissue and then wrapped it around the scissor's blade, walking out of the room for a moment, likely putting them back in the bathroom. He walked back in and gently gripped Joe's shoulder, leading him to his bed, making him sit down. Joe's father sat at his right, and he stared down at him, slightly unsure what to say.

"...Are you alright, Joe?"

Joe looked up at him, and then he couldn't help it, he started to cry. His father let out a sigh and wrapped an arm around him, Joe leaning his head against his chest, trembling while his father comfortingly rubbed his back. They seemed to stay there for a long time, even as a car pulled up outside and Joe could hear the voices of Sage's parents, giving their condolences for a secretly made-up illness Joe seemed to have contracted. The front door then shut and a car drove away, and then there were footsteps coming up the stairs, and it was Joe's dad, in his room's doorway. He sighed upon seeing the sight of his son crying into his father's chest, and he walked forward, sitting on the other side of Joe, wrapping an arm around him as well. And the Crofts all sat there together that night, one big hug, comforting the murderer that sat in the middle.

But just like that, though Joe didn't know it yet... everyone who lived in that goddamn house was a murderer.

maybe i should've told him about it sooner.

•~~~~•
well... i'm sure y'all are mad at me. don't worry, i'm mad at myself. it's chill.

i never wanted this to happen, but i guess it just did. and that's why i'm saying goodbye, now- for real, this time. this is it. seriously. no matter what i did, i could never truly gain control over the greater power of the world i've been placed into. hell- even emile is pretty pissed at me rn. that's for the best, though.

i guess if anyone has anything else they wanna say to me i'll keep this app on my phone until the next chapter gets posted or smth, probably by the real author since they're apparently back. so, yeah, it was fun while it lasted. kind of. idk.
