Chapter 74 🌹
~Y/N POV~
It only took a few short weeks apparently to find what was left of my birth fathers family. I really wanted to get to know that side of where I came from.
To be honest I thought it was going to take longer than this but surprisingly it didn't and it's all thanks to my soulmates and Kai who also played a big part of finding my other family. Once we found out my fathers real name in one of his dairies that's when the search began.
Jin contacted them for me and to be honest I was damn right nervous. They might not of even of known I existed for all I know or even want to see me after what my birth mother did to my birth father. But surprisingly they did want to meet me and that's what brings me to this very house right now standing at their front door ready to knock at any moment with of course my soulmates by my side.
Only four of them came with me since they all thought it was a good idea for the other three to stay with the babies at home. I didn't want to take them with me just yet since right now these people are strangers to me and we only share the same blood.
I feel a little bad in doing this like I'm betraying the parents I love so much as if they were my own but everyone keeps telling me that if they were still alive they'd most likely encourage me to meet my fathers side of the family after finding out happened to this man.
I was too nervous to knock, the four vampires stood behind me were getting impatient so Jin quickly knocked on the door for me and then they all ran around the side of the house like they were kids playing ding dong ditch.
Gasping at them all run like that leaving me alone at the door but I knew I was going in there alone at first but they were going to watch through the windows which would be a little creepy if they get caught.
Moments later the door unlocked from the other side and I instantly held my breath until it revealed a small old woman with white hair tied up in a messy bun with his glasses. At first she stood frozen looking me up and down until she just burst into tears making me feel a little more awkward than before.
"Oh dear Y/n come in, come in."
She wrapped her arms around my body squeezing me in her hold and gently pulled me through the door in a hug.
"Honey!! Y/n is here!"
The woman yelled and the fast steps of more than one person approached us from the next room. I looked up in the direction of the steps and a elderly man around the same age as this woman appeared in the nearest door way stood frozen like he couldn't move any closer. Another woman also stood next to the elderly man, she was younger looking than the elderly couple, maybe mid forties somewhere at least.
The woman only paused staring at my face with tears before she approached the two of us and patted the old woman's back.
"Mom, give her some space."
"I promise I'm not going anywhere."
I said to the woman, dropping my arms to my side away from her back when the other woman manages to pull away the elderly woman.
"I'm sorry."
She snuffled and I shook my head to close the door behind me for them.
"No, it's okay."
The younger woman stuck out her hand for me to shake as she held her mothers hand.
"Hi, I'm Mina, your dads twin sister."
My dad was a twin? That's great to know.
"Hi, it's nice to meet you."
I took her hand and shook it gently as she stared at my face taking in all my features.
"I'm sorry it's just I see a lot of my brother in you." Mina
Really? I mean I know I share some features but I didn't think I'd look that much like him.
"Really?"
She nodded and her mother took one step closer to me.
"Oh you do dear, right Jihoon?" Grandmother
She turned around to face her face who was still stood in the doorway refusing to move but still staring at me like he had seen a ghost of some sort.
"Dad?" Mina
She asked the man worried about his current state. The man shook his head and looked at his daughter without saying a word.
"Arent you going to say hello?" Mina
She gestures to me but looking at her dad. When he looks back at me I waved at him awkwardly and with a quivered lip the man limped over to me as quickly as he could and pulled me into his embrace and held me tighter than compared to his wife did. It was like he was holding me for dear life and he certainly had little strength in him of being elderly.
I hugged the man back and the woman who is clearly my grandmother cooed at the sight and Mina laughed.
"Sorry, it's just the last time we seen you, you were a tiny little thing." Mina
"I've met you all before?"
I asked her and she nods quite sadly.
"Oh yes dear. You were a tiny little thing. You were defiantly a daddys girl or if he wasn't a round you were a grandfathers little girl." Grandmother
She giggled like she was thinking back memories. Now that explains the mans reaction to me, I must of been close to him at a very young age.
"Dad, let's show Y/n the living room okay?" Mina
She rubs her dads back gently and I could feel him nodding on my shoulder and pulled away from myself and took my hand to show me the living room with a smile on his face, finally showing a more happier expression than before.
I sat down on their small blue fabric sofa and my grandfather sat next to me as I felt his eyes looking at me from the side. Mina and my grandmother sat down on the opposite sofa beside each other.
"It's really great to see you again Y/n. We had no idea what happened to you after your fathers passing." Mina
She gave me a sad look ,taking her mothers hand in hers.
"Do you all know how he died?"
I knew of course but I didn't want to blurt it out in the off chance they didn't know, but Mina nodded.
"Your mother." Grandfather
He spoke for the first time with his croaky voice.
"Yes, we knew what she had done to him and we buried him in our family plot nearby. We can show you later if you'd like?" Mina
I nodded. I would like to see it.
"Yes thank you. I'd like that."
"Did you have a good life Y/n?" Grandmother
She asked me randomly and I thought back to as far as I could remember.
"When I was a child no. My mother use to beat me and tell me my father hated me."
"I'm so sorry Y/n." Mina
The hold my grandfather had tighten slightly and mina and my grandmothers faces just dropped after I spoke.
"No, your father never hated you. You were his pride and joy." Grandfather
He spoke deeply but I nodded at him. I believed him, I seen the pictures of me and him together we were happy in the pictures and not to mention he took me away to hide me from my mother to protect me, he wouldn't of done that if he hated me.
"I know, but I was saved and two amazing people took me in and raised me as there own when I was seven. They gave me a great life and I'll never be more thankful for that."
"Are they still around? I'd like to thank them." Grandmother
I shook my head sadly, I didn't want to cry right now.
"No, sadly they were murdered by the one person that my father was trying to hide me from."
"Oh no. She found you?" Grandmother
I nod, keeping my gaze to the floor.
"She did but she's dead now. My soulmates killed her."
"I'd like to meet the one that killed her." Grandfather
He said darkly but I didn't mid at all. My mother killed his son.
"Ah yes, soulmates. The vampire kings, I spoke to the one call Jin, is that right?" Mina
I looked at her and nodded.
"Yes there's seven of them and they treat me really well."
"That's good dear. You're father knew they would. The last time we ever saw Hanuel he spoke of his plans to take you to them. Unfortunately he didn't make it there in time." Grandmother
She took out a handkerchief from her pocket and began to wipe her eyes under her glasses.
"We're just happy you're with them now Y/n. That's what matters." Mina
"Would you like to see some pictures?" Grandfather
He asked out the blue to let go of my hand and pick up a large black photo album next to him on the side table. I nodded and leaned in closer to the man as he opened it up.
The first picture was of the four family members. My grandparents both sharing the same black hair and two children standing in front of them side by side. One girl and one boy, who can only be Mina and my dad. The page turned again a few more times until he stopped at the picture of a little boy holding a butterfly with one wing looking down at it sadly in his hands as if he could cry.
"This was taken one summer when your father found a butterfly with one wing. He wanted to saved it and try and teach it to fly with one wing but that was impossible." Grandfather
He chuckled smiling fondly at the picture.
"Yes, he always brought back injured animals and insects. Going so much a injured dog to a one winged butterfly. He would never stop trying to save animals." Mina
"He was always like that? Very caring?"
"Yes dear, when we would ask him to stop he would cry and tell us he had to practise for one day he knew someone would need his protection and that saving animals was his practise. He would cry for days if the creature would die." Grandmother
He didn't mean me did he?
Just that thought coming to mind I was quick to blink away the tears. I can't cry, I shouldn't.
Without speaking any more my grandfather went through some more pictures and telling me more stories about my dads childhood. He reminded me of me, in a way, it seemed like we shared the same personality in a way.
Just when we all were looking at the last picture in the album I saw Yoongi poke his head up at the window from behind Mina and my grandmother. He gave me a innocent smile pressing his lips into a thin line. Taehyung and Jungkook also popped up out of nowhere in the same window waving like children just for Jin to push them away.
Mina was quick to notice and turned around to see the four vampires freeze as if they were children caught red handed. Jin was the first to relax and wave to Mina soon joined by Yoongi with a smile. Mina laughed quietly while the elderly couple were still busy looking at pictures on the coffee table in the middle.
My aunt stood up and walked to the front door and invited the vampires in to introduce everyone. My grandparents were unsure of them at first because they are vampires in an elderly couples home but soon relaxed. I introduce Jungkook and Taehyung to my grandfather as the two that killed my birth mother and lets just say he became best friends with them immediately and kept thanking them for it.
This day just couldn't of gone better meeting one family I never met before for them to meet part of my new family. One big family was forming here and I loved that thought more than anything. Growing up I always had a small family unit but now it just seems to be growing more and more.
What more could I ask for?
