Chapter 6 🌹
~Y/N POV~
This hall was amazing. It was still decorated like the medieval times, weapons hung up on the wall and old styled bookcases and shelves, along with knight armour. It was very fascinating to look ate I loved it!
Not to mention the table in the middle of the room, shaped like a straight lines U, there's enough seats at the ends for myself and my class, as well as the teachers, but would the seats at the top mean that the kings would be seated with us at meal times?
Do we have to eat with them every meal time?
It's something I'm definitely going to ask Mr park or even my dad if I don't have the chance to ask Mr Park.
Butler Choi asked us all to take our seats and of course I chose to sit next to Kai and Joy on the other side of me and Irene just next to her.
I was just starving, it's lunch time and I skipped breakfast because I was too busy making sure I had everything for this trip.
"Pst, y/n?" Joy
I looked at my friend beside me when she whispered in my ear, pulling me out my thoughts, since Kai was too busy talking to his friend Jackson on his other side.
"What?"
"Do you think Jimin will come out those doors?" Joy
I rolled my eyes at her and nudged her with my elbow, chuckling at her question as she pointed at the main double doors to the room that we use to enter.
"Yes joy. It's the only doors in the whole room."
I whispered to me and watched how her smile grew and patted her lap repeatedly out of excitement. Jeez this girls whipped.
The doors pushed open with a loud crack it made me flinch but also Joy next to me.
The first figure to walk through was of course my dad, he wasn't smiling or looking my way. He was a serious as ever, I mean he's at work so he has to be serious. His eyes fully focused to the front of the room until he came to a stop at the head of the room and scanned the room briefly and shook hands with my teacher Mr Park, of course they'll know each other from my parent teacher evenings at school so they're not total strangers.
After shaking hands he straightened his composure and raised his hand with his palms facing up.
"If you could all raise please." Dad
His eyes flashed to me quickly and winked. I didn't know what that meant but okay dad. I stood up like asked and then my dad spoke again.
"First I'd like to say I'm Mr Lee Daehyun and I'm chief adviser for the seven kings. If you have any questions through out the trip please don't hesitate to ask, I'm always free to answer any questions you may have." Dad
He straighten his tie and cleared his throat for a one time of silence. I suddenly started to feel nervous and on edge, he was clearly going to say more and it's obvious what he's going to say next. Everyone in this room was just waiting for it.
"I'd like to announce the arrival of the vampire kings for this meal time!" Dad
I gulp when he said mealtime. Do these vampire eat human food too or are they going to drink blood in front of us?
On que the doors opened again and I immediately looked that way. I couldn't help it, I just had to see them. Ever since I seen the first two kings at the beginning I couldn't stop thinking about them. Even in the bedroom when we were unpacking some of our stuff and browsing around the bedroom. They've just been on my mind ever since, but that's always seemed to happen every time I've seen one in person but then eventually fades days later.
First to enter was a man with grey coloured hair with glasses sitting upon his face that was so serious as my dads was. He looked tall compared to the other six kings walking behind him in pairs of two.
They all seemed to ignore everyone in the room but one looked my way and we made eye contact. My breath hitched and his face was stone cold expressionless. He was one of the shorter ones out of the seven and his raven black hair suited him very well making his skin complexion paler than the rest of the kings.
He held eye contact with no expression until I felt Kai lean in close and wrap his arm around my waist to pull me closer to him. The king frowned and bit his lip continuing to walk until all of them reached the front of everyone and took their seats with out a word.
My dad still stood there now behind the seven royals, he bowed and everyone followed suit, including myself. I still ha don't eyes on that one king that was watching me and he too smirked a little like the other one did when I bowed. What's so funny about me bowing?
"Take your seats." Dad
Everyone sat down but my dad still stood and walked slightly to the corner of the room with his hands behind his back.
My attention went to the man sitting in the middle out of the seven, the one with the grey hair and glasses.
He swiped his finger across his lips and cleared his throat slightly and began to speak with authority in his voice. I haven't seen this one in person ever, so to hear him and see him in person was a different story.
"I'm king Namjoon. I trust that you all enjoy your stay and follow the rules accordingly."
His voice sent shivers down my spine, like physically. I couldn't help it.
"Babe are you okay?" Kai
He whispers in my ear and I just nod at him, still watching king Namjoon in his chair. There was a smash and myself and Kai flinched. Everyone not just myself looked at the king that had purposely smashed a what looks like a wine glass in his hand.
He wasn't glaring at me but at Kai and he immediately stared down at the table, scared to move.
Maids were already cleaning up the glass from the table and scurrying away while the man to his left found it quiet amusing by the look on his face.
His little smile made me smile a little even though I shouldn't of been smiling because that king beside him scared my boyfriend but it was a little amusing.
"Yah king Jimin! Be more careful!"
I looked over to the far end to see another king scolding him with black hair and wearing glasses. He did not look happy but his eyes weren't glowing to say that he was angry.
"Yeah yeah whatever." King Jimin
He rolled his eyes at the other king while everyone in the room was quiet to watch the kings interact. I don't think anyone knew how to react or to even breathe for that matter.
But with the kings speechless face almost had me laughing I had to hit my lip. I don't know why I find everything they do funny but I don't dare laugh out loud. I don't know what would happen if I did.
It was like he didn't expect that response from him and didn't know what else to say. But he soon shook his head and held up a wine glass in the air.
"Well I hope you all enjoy the food. Cheers."
Again everyone copied the actions and so did I not wanting to feel left out and be the oddball. He took a sip of his glass and placed it down. I had water in mine and took a sip and I too placed it down.
The maids came out with dishes of food, filled with vegetables, meats and even more fruit placed on the tables. I was starving and couldn't wait to dig in.
Soon enough everyone of my classmates and teachers started eating after the kings began first. It was only respectful to wait until they started first since they're royalty and all.
During eating in the quietest room ever, I dared to look back up to the kings seated up front. They all seemed to be busy but one. The one of the two from the front doors who smirked at me when I bowed.
He was staring right at me, and his lip tilted upwards in a very faint smile and this time it stayed there as we held eye contact until I finally broke it to had a drink of some more water since my throat had become dry all of a sudden.
"Y/n are you okay?" Joy
I nodded and leaned more towards her.
"Yeah, why do you ask?"
She pressed her lips together before she spoke again.
"It's just your leg, it's shaking against mine." Joy
I didn't even know I was doing that, immediately gripping onto my own leg and held it still. The shaking stopped and I whispered an apology to Joy to which she only nodded at me.
Sighing to myself in this awkward atmosphere I picked up my glass again, now looking at my dad who was watching me with careful eyes. He only titled his head to one side in a gesture movement to where the kings sat. Again they were going their own thing, eating, drinking. The one that was staring at me before, king hoseok if I remember his name was no longer staring at me. I sighed in relief and took a sip of my water, as I was gulping down the fluids my eyes rested on another, the youngest by the looks of things. He didn't look too happy to even be in this room.
He looked evenly beautiful but when his eyes moved to mine and they met, I panicked and looked anywhere else but him in the room. Still gulping the water down, my throat felt still as dry as ever if that was even possible since I was drinking the water in that moment.
Again I tried to be subtle and sneaking to again look at all seven of them since I can't seem to keep my eyes off of them. To the far end the darkest eyes of them all met mine, just like they did when he was alking into the room.
His glare was intense and I couldn't handle it. So I unwilling spat out my water, spraying someone sat in front of me with a mix of water and spit. Immediately apologising and passing him a tissue from my side of the table. There was a few giggles in the room and I've never felt more embarrassed in my life.
"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry!"
I kept passing more tissues, any that I could find but the guy just smiled and waved me off. Thank fully.
"Y/n?"
I looked up to the sound of my dads voice, he was now standing next to the centre king Namjoon. While Namjoon had a smug smile on his face, did he find what I did amusing?
"Yes."
"Can you stay back please? I'd like to have a word with you after." Dad
Oh no. I'm in trouble.
Sighing to myself, I nodded.
"Okay."
I felt defeated for some reason, wanting to crawl away and hide but felt a little uplifted to feel kai's hand in mine that laid on my lap. He may not have spoken to me much in the hall but after King Jimin watching him the way he did, I don't blame him for being scared to talk.
After everyone was finished the plates were removed from the table and the kings left first. No one was aloud to leave the room before the kings at mealtime unless they were excused first.
I waited in my seat as everyone left. Kai pecked the top of my head and left with Irene. Joy tried to stay as long as possible but had to leave since my dad was giving her his scary look so she felt no choice but to leave and that I'll meet her in our room after whatever my dad wanted to talk to me about.
"Y/n?" Dad
I stood up from my chair and walked over to my dad. I opened my mouth to speak but he smiled at me instead which confused me since I thought I was in trouble and would have to defend myself.
"Follow me. We have things to discuss and people to formally meet." Dad
What?
He's not taking me to the kings is he?
