~Y/N POV~

The light started to shine through my eyes making it harder to keep them shut.

I felt a warm hand resting on mine and a little snore from next to me. I'll know that snore anywhere.

Slowly I opened my eyes to adjust more to the almost blinding light through the window. It looked like a sunny day outside and the curtains weren't closed.

My other arm had a small white cast around the wrist where it was broken. It was still a little painful and throbbing but no where near what it was like before, thank goodness.

I then took the hand that was on top of my good hand, and squeezed it a little more. No response.

I tried shaking it but no response.

"JOY!!"

She jumped back in her chair in fright, ripping her hand away from mine and her sleeping head away from my side on the bed. It made me so relieved and happy she was alive and when she came to realisation that I was awake I burst into tears but like she did.

"Oh y/n! I'm so happy your okay!" Joy

I cried so much more into her shoulder now that she sits on the side of my bed crying into mine. I love more to the side so she can have a better seat in my bed with me. I don't ever want to let her go, she's all I have left at this point.

"Are you okay joy? I thought kai stabbed you? How are you alive?"

She pulled away from me but kept on arm around my shoulders and shuffled more into the bed to my side and moved her legs to now lay next to mine.

"I'm okay. Luckily i wasn't stabbed in any organs like my kidneys or liver. Otherwise I'd be screwed but I'm okay. Still a little sore, but Kai didn't stab me it was one of the other men there." Joy

Really?

"Oh. So what happened to him then? He use to try and help me with my fever. Where is he?"

"He's actually the one that told your mates, where you were. They're debating on what to do with Kai now." Joy

"Are they going to kill him?"

I looked at her and watched how her expression became hard and wrinkled with her thinking face.

"I don't know. I don't know how to feel about him right now. He cheated on you, he was there when your parents were killed, he denies knowing that was going to happen and then he goes and tells everyone risking his own life to tell them where you were. It's all confusing." Joy

Very true.

But Kai did nothing but apologies to me and try to make it up to me in some way while I was in those cells. He even stole some food for me sometimes and I couldn't bring myself to eat it. He would try and cool me down by bringing me cold water and I think in one of my hot flash episodes he did mention something about not knowing my parents were to be killed.

"I'd like to speak to him before they make a decision. Do you think that would be okay?"

I looked at her with a questionable face. She shrugged her shoulders and slightly pouted.

"I don't know. You'll have to ask them yourself." Joy

"They won't want to talk to me."

I gave the floor a disappointed stare.

"What are you talking about? Of course they will! They went all across their land to get you so of course they want to see you it's just right now they're busy with something." Joy

"Do you really think so?"

I hope she's not lying. If it's true then I don't deserve them.

"Yes it's true. But I want to ask you how your doing. How do you feel right now?" Joy

I thought for a moment. Making myself take in a moment to realise I feel a lot better than before. I don't feel hot at all and the pain in my stomach and lower back is gone.

"Actually I feel a lot better now. Did anyone tell you what was wrong with me?"

She smiled but looks behind me and then down at my arm. Confused at what she was looking at I turned around to find a large blood bag hanging on a hook above my head. There was a thin tube that lead down the way and I followed it to find it pressed into my arm.

"What's this for? I didn't bleed out."

Yes I coughed up blood but not enough to say I lost a lot of blood.

"You needed it. When you came in, no one knew what to do but Jin happened to just act quickly with whatever he could think of and it worked. Your body seems like it needed the blood." Joy

Jin actually helped me?
Aw. I could melt right here and right now. In fact they all did rescue me.

"I should thank them all even they're free."

"They would definitely like to talk to you though. There's things to be discussed." Joy

Clearly there is. They probably have a lot to say to me and I'll just sit and listen this time. No jumping to conclusions or shouting down their necks, I'll just remain calm and listen until they're done and then I'd thank them for what they have done for me.

"Joy, which hospital am I in? I don't remember this one."

When I was a child I was constantly in and out of hospital due to my injuries and basically memorised the rooms and smells of the rooms. This one is new to me.

"Oh, Jin has this place build within the castle, when you agreed to move in with them." Joy

Oh really?!

"Why would be do that?"

She shrugged with a little hint of a smile on her lips.

"They all figured it would be a good idea because you're human and would need the medical room in case of emergencies. Also they came to the idea they would be around humans a lot more since they weren't going to isolate you from everyone." Joy

More guilt.
They're too good to be true.

"Well that was very thoughtful of them."

She nods once but pulls me a little more closer to her side.

"They're not mad you know. Just nervous and unsure about how you would react when you'd see them." Joy

"But I want to see them! I want to express how sorry I am."

She chuckled a little bit and set her eyes down at my lap.

"Yeah I told them that but they're still nervous. It's kind of funny to see them all like that. Oh!! By the way I have news!" Joy

She pats my legs excitedly and shook her little feet at the bottom of the bed. Yes, little, she has little feet for her height. I always make fun of her for it.

""What is it?"

"I'm moving into the castle! With you!" Joy

I don't know what shocked me more. My best friend in the entire world living with me or the fact the vampire kings that I rejected would allow me to actually stay here with them after the way I treated them.

"Are you not happy?" Joy

She frowned at me and I shook myself out the shock and showed her a smiled and pulled her in for a hug.

"Oh course I'm happy. It's just too good to be true!"

I laughed but then I remembered what the reason could be and what happened to us, to my parents. I shuttered in joys embrace and the tears immediately began to fall.

I couldn't help it or didn't mean to spoil the good moment between us, but the memories came back of having to watch them die like that. It haunts me and I've even had nightmares from it, repeating the same thing over and over again in my mind.

"Oh y/n, it's going to be okay." Joy

She caressed my back smoothly and softly, her finger tracing all the way down my spine and back up again. She held me closer and just allowed me to let it all go.

"I-I'm so s-sorry."

"You have nothing to be sorry for." Joy

I sniffled a little more, trying to catch my breath as I continued to cry which was slowly calming down so I can allow myself to speak.

"I- I do. Y-you got hurt. My p-parents died and it a-all because of me."

I wiped my tears on her shoulder but she didn't seem to mind.

"Stop. You couldn't of done anything to stop it or make it better in anyway." Joy

There was, I should of stayed at the castle, then none of this would happen and my mom and dad would be alive right now.

She let me go and pulled away from me to smile sadly at me, looking at me right in the eyes. She sued her fingers to help wipe my tears away and I could help but chuckle at her sweet behaviour to me. She's too good to me.

" I love you joy. Your like the sister I never had."

She gasped and held her hands over her heart, exaggerated response if you ask me.

"Y/n that is the most beautiful thing you have ever said to me." Joy

I rolled my eyes and playfully pushed back her shoulder. She laughed at me as we now laughed together. She's probably acting this way to cheer me up and it's definitely working.

"I love you too, bitch." Joy

She picked up my hand and held it across my lap in front of me. I don't know where'd I be without a friend like her, she's the best.

"Y/n?"

I froze at the voice and slowly turned around to find jin standing by the door. His black hair was combed back and wore nothing but black trousers and black dress shoes with a white shirt that was unbuttoned at the top. He looked really smart, yet sexy too.

Jin shuffled on his feet side to side with his hands in his pockets. He looked down for a second and then back to me to meet mine.

"Hi Jin."

My voice came out so quietly when I spoke to him but he cheered up a little more when I said his name and took a few more steps closer into the room.

I think we have somethings to talk about.
