~ AUTHOR POV~

The night was quiet at the hospital, no major accidents just a few injuries here and there but nothing life threatening. A ringing a telephone erupted through the ER of the hospital until one of the nurses picked up the phone at the station.

She quickly took down notes that were told on the other end of the line and then wasting no time hanging up to get everyone ready for the in coming patient, a child patient in desperate need of medical care. Calling to everyone that needs done to prepare and calling the needed doctors to be ready for when the patient arrives.

One doctor in particular had an odd feeling in the pit of his stomach about tonight but couldn't put his finger on it. He prepared himself for the new patient as it was needed.

"Dr Kim?! Are you ready?" Nurse

He only nodded at the nurse once and waited by the emergency doors to open any minute. Soon enough he picked up a scent from beyond the doors, blood but there was something else there too but whatever it was smelled amazing to the point he wanted to claim that smell as only his. Seconds later beyond the ER doors a patient was pushed through on a gurney with blankets wrapped around her. Dr Kim was shocked to see she was a child in her condition by just seeing her by the doors. He rushed over just like any doctor there listening to the shouting paramedic about the current condition of the child.

Nurses, other doctors all surrounding her, rushing her to a empty space in desperation to check her injuries she was visibly showing. This was a child that really needed help in saving her life, everyone was one edge and shocked to see the state she was in but all needed to remain calm to get the job done.

Dr Kim however took it the hardest, yes this was a child, clearly beaten to an inch of her life but he could hear her heart beating better than that machine ever could. But he almost froze when he looked upon her face for the first time, beyond those cuts and bruises she was a beautiful little girl that surely would grow into a gorgeous young woman but if her heart gives out she would not live to see just what she would become in life and that thought boiled Dr Kim's blood to a point his eyes turned red.

A nurse noticed his eyes but paid no mind to the matter since the child is their main concern.

Dr Kim, is a vampire but not just any vampire, royalty. He's king to his kind as well as his six brothers and vampires in this day in age are very well known, especially the seven kings. Even though Dr Kim is a royal vampire he likes to work in the hospital now and again to help others and to pass sometime and this night was the right night to come in.

The girls blood was so strong but her heart beat was weak and watching everyone around her, he didn't like even though it was to help to save her life. All he wanted to do was tell everyone to leave and not touch her but know it was to save her, so decided to keep to his job and continue to pump fluids into her veins and to start treating her wounds.

Her heart stopped, the heart rate machine going off, everyone was in panic, they need to save the child. Chest compressions were started by a doctor while another readied the heart stimulator. Dr Kim's heart was literally breaking with her heart no longer beating and he needed to do something fast, he's never wanted to save someone so much through out his 247 years of living. He decided to act fast but that meant he was about to break the law, the law that he and his brothers had made but he didn't care, he needed to do it, now or never.

"STOP!" DR Kim

Everyone kept to their jobs and ignored him but confused to why he would ask such a thing. This only grew Dr Kim's anger even more, so he rolled his eyes and pushed the doctor away that was acting out the chest compressions.

"MOVE!" Dr Kim

Everyone stood back and stopped what they were doing seeing Dr Kim's eyes shine brighter than they've ever seen. This was a sign to not get on his bad side at this very moment and had no choice but to listen.

Everyone in the room silent, watching the vampire doctor bite down on his own wrist and held it towards the child mouth.

"Dr Kim! That's against the rules!" Doctor

"Fuck the rules!" Dr Kim

He growled back not even looking at anyone but the child in the room. Everyone in the room grew even more shocked by his action, they've worked many times with him before and he has never once done this to save anyone, he's always aloud them to die. It's against the law for any human to taste vampire blood as it's like an addicting drug, you can't turn unless the vampire bites while releasing venom into the humans blood stream.

Dr Kim hoovered his wrist above the girls mouth that was hanging open. A few droplets fell but that wasn't enough, the vampire then proceeded to press his wrist directly onto the girls dry lips.

More moments of silence at he stood still watching, listening until her heart started again very slow until becoming steady. He breathes out in relief as does everyone else. Her heart beating more healthy than before she came in. Now all they needed to do was scan her body for further injuries and treat her. As long as he heart was beating she was okay for now unless the scans show something otherwise.

After the girls scans and more treatment, Dr Kim was notified of her injuries since he demanded every detail to the girls condition. He found out that she was beaten repeatedly with something hard and most of been heavy. She suffered from two broken fingers, her left wrist was broken as well as her left shoulder being dislocated and suffer from a further three broken ribs. Not to mention the visible injuries she received in the flesh, her skin was dry and clearly cut and bruised, she even had a few burn marks on her body which angered Dr Kim every time he laid eyes on her but would soften his heart soon afterwards. He's never cared for such children before, in fact he's never been interested in children at all, he's never liked them. But he doesn't understand why he's taken such a lurking to this child in such a way he would break the law to save her life. He had so many questions, so he asked for his brothers to come and see if they would feel the same way. They're all connected in some way, so if he felt this, he wondered if they would too.

Dr Kim couldn't bring himself to leave the girls side as she lay in bed after her trauma and stayed her in room next to her bed as she slept. He knew it was strange for a grown man to feel this way and stay with her but she doesn't know what's going on and neither does he.

"Thing I'm telling you, the smell is coming from in here!"

"I know but we have to fin.."

The voice was cut off when he opened the door to the patients room that Dr Kim was located in. His sentences stopped when setting eyes on Dr Kim, staring down at the child, trying to make sense of everything.

"I found him!"

The voice shouted out as they all started to like into the room, they too confused why their brother was sitting in this room but had not yet taken notice of the child, just the smell.

"Wow the smell is stronger in here than out there."

This caught Dr Kim's attention to now look at his brothers.

"So you smell it too then?" Dr Kim

There was multiple nods from all six. They too did smell the intoxicating smell when they arrived, some wanted to find the source first before finding their brother but Dr Kim would only invite them here if it was serious.

"I think it's coming from her." Dr Kim

He point to the little 7 year old girl lying now peacefully in bed, in aware of the seven strangers around her. They all now took notice of her and they couldn't explain what it was but they needed to protect her, stay with her and even love her. The seven kings never love, they're lethal even though Dr Kim like to work in the hospital now and again on his good days.

All seven vampires now took their chances to scan her body and once they did their eyes brighten red just as their brothers did, they were enraged.

"Who did that to her?!"

A deep voice boomed out of the room.

"Taehyung! Lower your voice!"

The vampire named taehyung scoffs and walks closer to the girl, still not understanding why he would feel this way for a young child he's just seen for the first time.

"How can I when this little girl was clearly beaten!" Taehyung

"Namjoon do you have any idea why we would feel this way for this girl?" Dr Kim

The asked man steps forward to the end of the bed, his enraged eyes scanning the girl and pushing up his glasses.

"I might have an idea but I don't think any of us are going to like it." Namjoon

"Well tell us!"

They all took the chance to come closer to the girl.

"Jin I want to ask you something first." Namjoon

Dr Kim whose name is Jim only boded slowly waiting for the question while Taehyung took a seat at the end of the bed, joined by the smaller man of the seven and taking a seat next to Taehyung. The remaining three weren't too sure to approach or not so stayed stood by the door. This annoyed jin and he waved the three to come closer.

"Come over here! Don't just stay by the door and stare, it's rude." Jin

The three glanced at one another but hesitantly moves forward. The vampire with the orange hair moved closer than the other two, he came so close he took the opposite seat from Jin on the other side of the bed.

"Well spit it out Namjoon, what do you want to ask him?"

"Calm down yoongi."

"Oh shut it hoseok, I'm tired." Yoongi

Hoseok rolled his eyes and watched how yoongi just planted himself on a small sofa at the end of the room next to the door.

"When she came into the ER did you also smell her before you saw her?" Namjoon

He already knew the answer but just wanted to confirm since he and his five other brother smelled her as soon as they set foot in the building, and followed the smell since the maknae of their brotherhood couldn't ignore it.

"I did." Jin

"See I told you about the smell."

"We already know jungkook. We found the source, keep up will ya." Yoongi

Jungkook rolled his eyes and pouted but went straight back to watching the little girl.

"Well I've come to one conclusion then." Namjoon

"What is it?"

The last vampire spoke by the name of Jimin, still sat on the end of the bed with Taehyung.

"I think we've finally our weakness, just as we were told at the start of our reign." Namjoon

A gasp escaped from hoseok, while yoongi glared at Namjoon, not wanting it to be true because if it is then the seven kings that have been known to never show mercy or a to have a weakness can change everything and they all know that. After hundreds of years they've finally found their mate.

"What are we going to do with her?" Taehyung

"Kill her." Yoongi

Five out of the seven thought that was out of the question and couldn't believe that would even be mentioned. On the other hand the youngest jungkook didn't think it was a bad idea, if she lives on she could possibly ruin the reputation that have taken more than over 150 years to develop, she could weaken all of them and he didn't want that.

"That's not a bad idea." Jungkook

"What?! Are you two out of your minds?!" Jin

But Namjoon didn't believe their words he knew how he felt towards the girl and he knew they would too, so he was going to test them.

"Okay fine. You two want her dead then do it." Namjoon

Jungkook stood up with balled fists, he knew Namjoon was testing him and he really believed he could.

"You don't believe I would kill her do you?" Jungkook

He gritted his teeth as he spoke, he was showing anger but everyone in this room besides the unconscious girl knows in him inside out. They could tell by his eyes he didn't actually want to, so they waited to see what would happpen but on edge in case Jungkook somehow managed to try and even harm her.

"I don't." Namjoon

He showed blank expression, he was smart he knew the girl was in no danger despite the threats.

"Fine." Jungkook

Was all he said and stomped over to the girls bed, pushing Taehyung and jimin away so he could get closer. Taking one look at her face he forced himself to grab her by the arms but that was only place his body allowed him to touch her. He was aiming for her neck but for some reason his subconscious wouldn't allow him and he ended up with the arms instead. He didn't squeeze he just held a grip, he tried forcing himself to move or at least tighten the grip he had but couldn't, his body would let him move.

Out of frustration he jumped back away from her and punched the wall, causing it to crack, his brothers weren't surprised at all.

"I can't fucking do it!" Jungkook

He then threw himself next to Yoongi on the sofa and left to stress with himself in his own mind.

"I knew you couldn't." Namjoon

Pulling a smug smirk to the maknae on the sofa while Yoongi had point proven and knew he too would be the same if he tried.

"What about her parents? What happened to them?" Jimin

Jin scoffed, he knew what had happened to you. The police came in to address the situation and to say Y/n will be put into foster care since her parents have had their rights taken from them and sent to prison.

"They're the ones that did this to her! They can rot for all I care." Jin

Hoseok stood from his chair, anger seeping out of him, eyes red again.

"Then let's go kill them." Hoseok

He was on his way out the door but Namjoon was quick to grab him and stop him. He agrees with what hoseok had said but wanted to deal with the girl first since she's clearly something special to them and has found it's their responsibility to find her a new home.

"Later hoseok. We need to make sure this girl is going to be safe. We all know that a foster home is not going to be ideal for her." Namjoon

"Y/n." Jin

Everyone looked at him confused to why he would randomly say a name out of the blue while he still stared upon the girl.

"What, hyung ?" Taehyung

"Her name, her name is Y/n." Jin

They were all in awe, hearing the name for the first time. The name itself wasn't anything special it's just to finally know her name, was some what precious to them, including the two that thought it was best if she was dead.

Namjoon quickly shook the thoughts, to get back to the topic. Finding y/n a new home.

"Taehyung? Isn't daehyun and Jia still wanting to adopt?" Namjoon

Daehyun is their adviser back at their castle. He lives with the seven of them with his wife and have always wanted children but unfortunately they couldn't conceive since they are vampires and can't procreate. Taehyung being the closest to their adviser would know him more on personal levels and as soon as Namjoon mentions their names his eyes lit up like something clicked in his mind.

"They do! They've been on the list for years and haven't had any success." Taehyung

"Are you suggesting what I think you are?" Hoseok

Namjoon nods. He wants their advisers to adopt y/n as their own. He trust the couple with his life as he's known them since the beginning, so he knew they were capable to raise her.

"Yes. I think daehyun and his wife should adopt her and raise her. She'll be safe with them, they have their thirst for blood under control and I believe jia will be the best mother to her as a role model." Namjoon

"But wouldn't that mean they would have to move out the castle?" Jimin

"Yes. They know the rules, no children inside the castle, they know full well about how we feel about children." Namjoon

"I'll go phone daehyun and let him know." Taehyung

"I'll go phone the social department and tell them we have a family for y/n." Jin

Both vampire stood up and left the room to their duties. They didn't want to leave but knew it was to help y/n to a better life. There was silence in the room until Yoongi decided to speak up.

"Namjoon? Isn't it best if she doesn't know who we are to her?" Yoongi

Namjoon sighed as hoseok and Jimin held their breath, waiting for the answer but also knowing it would be safer for her not to know since her life would be in danger from their enemies.

"Yes. It is better. As much as I hate to admit it, it would be better if she didn't know who we are to her but daehyun can still work for us, it just means y/n can never set foot inside the castle, ever." Namjoon

"That's a good idea. I don't want daehyun to lose his job." Jungkook

"That's only half truth Jungkook you also don't want her in harms way." Jimin

Jungkook went back to pouting knowing he's right but didn't want to admit it. He was embarrassed by his earlier action whereas Jimin found it hilarious and would make sure to use the memory to tease him forever.

"I'll discuss this with daehyun as soon as he gets here. I'm sure they'll want to meet her first before they adopt her and y/n should at least get to know them too." Namjoon

"Well shouldn't we leave then? I mean before she wakes up." Hoseok

"We should wait until he gets here and then we'll leave." Namjoon

Nobody wanted to leave her but if they had to, knowing she was safe in the hospital and then to go home with daehyun and his wife, then they would be happy with that for now.

Taehyung burst back into the room with a smile on his face.

"They've accepted and are on their way to see her." Taehyung

He was happy that they said yes but there was no doubt they would of said no. All of them feeling gratitude to the couple and even Jin after finding out the news when he came back.

The part they didn't want the most came and they had to say their silent goodbyes until the time came to meet because they all know she'll come back into their lives one way or another. She's their mate, they're soulmate she can never truly be avoided but for now the current situation will do.

Slowly closing the door to her room, taking one look made Namjoon admired her cute features one last time before whispering and closing the door.

"We'll meet again....Y/n." Namjoon
