Sound. The thing that you yearn for. The thing you won't get. Your ear drums did not form right, denying you the sweet sounds of the words. You put on a tee and jeans, refusing to wear the horrid yellow uniform.

You drive to school, parking your car at the back of the lot. You walk into school and wave to your best friends, Hikaru and Kaoru. They wave back.

"Good morning (Y/n)," They sign (sign language).

"Good morning," you sign back. They grin and grab you by the arms. They begin to drag you to an unknown location. You see it is the music room. They drag you in and plop you on a couch. I see the troublemakers run over to Mori and talk animatedly. He walks over.

"Hey," he signs. You wave and feel heat rise to your cheeks. He sits down by you.

"How are you?" He signs.

"Good," You sign back. You have had a crush on Mori for a long time. He defended you when a teacher made fun of your disability. Ever since, you got this weird feeling in your chest ever since he did. You two texted and "talked" a lot. He is very talkative.

"What are you doing this weekend?" He signs.

"Nothing, why?" You reply, your hands shaking a little. He gives a small smile.

"Will you go to lunch with me?" He asks, a slight blush dusting his face.

Your eyes widen and nod enthusiastically. He smiles and gives you a soft kiss on the cheek. Your cheeks become even warmer and you smile. He sees Honey waving him over. He smiles and walks away.

You smile, and your head races with thoughts. What brought this on? Who cares?

The twins walk over with smirks on their faces. "What did you guys do?" You sign.

"We simply made the best couple ever." They sign. You tilt your head cutely, slightly confused.

"Did you get Haruhi and Tamaki together?" You sign. They roll their eyes. 

"We made the deaf and the silent together." I glance at them in suspicion.

"So Mori doesn't like me?" You sign. They shake their heads.

"Of course he likes you!" Hikaru signs.

"We just gave him a push." Kaoru signs. I roll my eyes.

"He isn't silent. He talks a lot." You sign, pushing your hair behind your ears.

"Only for you," they sign. You smile at their words. Mori is just as silent as me? Maybe we aren't that different after all?
