Six words. Six words ruined me. Six words.

Kyoya  and I have have been dating for three months. I was so surprised when he asked me to be his girlfriend. I have all my classes with him, and we got on just fine, but I never thought he liked me back.

I noticed this past week, he has grown apart from me. Every single time I try to talk to him, he shrugs me off. Today I am confronting him about it. I march up to him and say, "We can do this here or somewhere else, but we are doing this now." He sighs, and sets aside his laptop.

"Let's go to the roof." We walk up the stairs to the roof. "What is this about?"

"Why have you been ignoring me?" He shrugs.

"I just haven't found the time." I look at him in shock.

"'Haven't found the time'? I'm sorry I am an inconvenience to you Kyoya!" I shout at him.

"You are! You are such a nuisance! Can't you take a hint!" He yells back.

"Take a hint! Kyoya, you haven't dropped any fucking hints! I love you! Why are you doing this!" I feel tears stream down my face.

"Because you are a distraction!" BAM! another piece of my heart, gone. I feel my composure crumble more. "You know I don't have time for anything. And instead of an ally, you are one of my biggest problems!"

I feel my knees go weak. "You said you loved me! Were the past three months a lie?" I scream.

He pushes his glasses up his face. "Darling, you were never anything more than a pawn in my game. And you have to sacrifice pawns sometimes. You were never anything to me." Those six words. Those are the words that ruined me. The words that broke me. I ran, I ran away. I burst into the host club and search for my brothers.

I spot them. "(Y/n), what happened?" Hikaru asks. I run into his embrace. Hikaru takes me to the limo, while Kaoru grabs our stuff. They both tell me I'm too good for Kyoya. But the only thing going through my mind are those six words.

Hikaru and Kaoru slept with me last night. I kept having nightmares, but I fell back asleep in their arms. I woke up to Hikaru and Kaoru on the phone.

"Boss, don't do it- ugh! He hung up!" Kaoru turned to see me sitting up. "(Y/n)! Good morning!" I yawn and smile at them.

"Want us to make pancakes?" I nod and Hikaru laughs, dragging poor Kaoru with him. I laugh and snuggle back into bed. There is a knock on the door. Huh, the twins never knock.

"Yeah?" I ask sleepily. I hear the door open and close. I look up to see Kyoya standing by my bed. I open my mouth to scream but he is faster. He covers my mouth.

"Just listen!" He says harshly. I flinch and nod. He lets go of me. "(Y/n), I am so sorry. My dad said I couldn't be with you and I freaked out. I finally stood up to him. I love you! (Y/n), you must know that. You will always be my everything!" With those six words, your heart sprang to life. "Please don't leave me." And then the the shadow king does something I never thought he would. He drops to his knees and cries. "I'll do anything, just don't leave me alone." I reach out and stroke his hair. 

"Don't worry, Kyoya. You are and always will be my everything." Six words destroyed me, built me, and made me strong. Six words... Six words...

Those six words are now on my gravestone, where Kyoya visits everyday after dropping our son off at school. "(Y/n), you are still my everything." Six words...
