Chapter 1: Symbiosis

Lincoln ran into the Royal Woods, that his town was named after.

They were right behind him. He ran faster and faster, but they were getting closer and closer.

"Lincoln Loud! You are gonna get it!" The voice of one of Lincoln's angry classmates came from the distance.

"I'm sorry it was an accident!" Lincoln yelled back. But they kept up their pursuit. Lincoln snuck into a sewer drain. He hid in the dark man made tunnel until the ones hunting him passed. (That would prove to be a mistake)

"There you are!" One of his classmates was at the entrance to the tunnel. It was a kid who went by "Papa Wheelie"

"You ruined my bike!" Papa Wheelie said.

"It was an accident." Lincoln pleaded. "I tripped, and those bikes were staked like dominos. It was just a scratch."

"Do you know how much it's gonna cost to get those scratches out!?!?" Papa Wheelie scorned. "You're gonna pay for that!"

"I-I can get you some money." Lincoln said.

"No I mean pay." Papa Wheelie pounded his fist into his hand in a threatening manner.

Lincoln turned and ran into the dark tunnel. "AAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!"

...

Earlier that day, Lincoln woke up like any other day. He walked downstairs to see his little sister Lana trying to reach the orange juice on the top shelf.

"Let me get that for you sis." Lincoln said, then he grabbed the orange juice and poured Lana a glass.

"Thanks Lincoln." Lana said with a smile.

"No problem." Lincoln said.

"Morning Stincoln." His sister Lynn said.

"You know I really don't think Lincoln appreciates you calling him that." Lori scolded Lynn.

"Ah he knows I'm just messing with him." Lynn said.

"Yeah I don't mind at all." Lincoln said. "Lynn's my sister, I know she doesn't mean it. And I know she still loves me."

"You don't need to get all mushy about it." Lynn said.

"I think I'm strong enough to handle a little teasing from my own siblings." Lincoln said. "But thanks for looking out for me."

Lori smiled.

...

After a few minutes, Lincoln lost the bully. He breathed a sigh of relief.

"Safe at last." He sighed. "In this dark, cold, totally not creepy sewer." Lincoln looked around, trying to remember where he came in from.

Lincoln started to feel chills run down his back.

"Ok don't panic." Lincoln told himself. "This isn't that weird clown movie. The one where the shapeshifting clown hides in the sewers to eat small children. Man I cannot remember what that movie was called. What was the name of it? Ugh it's on the tip of my tongue, now what was it?" Lincoln was cut off by the sound of something big moving in the dark.

"Hello?" Lincoln said. "Who's there? Papa Wheelie is that you?"

No answer. But something was watching Lincoln from the shadows.

Lincoln continued to walk. Then he stepped in something. He looked down. In what little light there was, he could see that he had stepped in some kind of black goo.

"Eeewwww!" He said. Then he tried to scrape the stuff from his shoe. He could see a large part of the ground was covered in the black goo. Then to Lincoln's horror, the goo started to move. The stuff was alive! The black goo formed black tendrils that shot from the dark mass, pulling the organism forward, toward Lincoln.

The black blob was about the size of a small dog or cat, and was moving faster and faster. Lincoln turned around and ran.

A couple other bicyclists had joined Papa Wheelie to hunt Lincoln down in the sewers. Flat Tire, and a new member named Johnny. Johnny was nicknamed "Johnny Flame" for the black t-shirt with red, yellow and orange flames that he always wore, also for his fiery red hair. Rusty, who was once a member of the group had left to join Lincoln's group of friends. Lynn Loud Jr. was also a member of that group, though she didn't want to take part in hunting down her own brother.

They heard a cry for help in the distance.

"The little turd's crying for help." Johnny said. "He'll need it when we're done with him."

It seemed that Lincoln had lost the black blob. He breathed heavily, feeling out of breath. Then he could see the wake of something moving in the water, getting closer and closer to him. Then the black goo monster burst out from the dark water and stuck to the ceiling.

Lincoln looked up in horror at the living tar-like creature. The blob then landed on the ground with a plop. Lincoln turned to run, but a warm gooey tentacle of black slime wrapped around his leg, causing him to fall face first on the ground. Lincoln found a stick and swung it at the creature. The stick got stuck in the black slime, and was absorbed into it. Lincoln continued to struggle, trying to crawl away.

"HELP!" He yelled.

"I am not going to die like this." He said to himself. "I am not going to get eaten by a black booger."

The black goo started to spread up his leg. Lincoln's heart raced as he scraped his nails on the cold concrete ground, trying desperately to escape.

Both of his legs were now completely covered in thick black goo. The goo monster seemed to grow bigger and bigger as it engulfed the helpless 11 year old boy. Lincoln tried to scrape the goo off of his leg. This was a mistake as his hand was now stuck in the goo.

The Goo was now half way up his body. His belly was now wrapped in the warm goo, and it was inching up to his chest. Lincoln laid flat on his back, accepting his fate.

Will they ever find out what happened to me? He wondered to himself as he wept. Will there be anything left of my body. What will my sisters say? Will they miss me?

There was so much he wanted to say and do before he died. To tell his family and friends how much they meant to him. Now he'll never get the chance. He'll never hang out with Clyde, he'll never hear Luna's songs again, he'll never hear Lily's sweat laugh. He'll never again here his mom and dad tell him how much they loved him. Even Lynn's rough housing or Luan's pranks would feel so sweet at this moment. Even just the cool breeze on a warm summer's day would feel like heaven (which he prayed is where his soul would end up).

But now, he would die, alone and scared, in a dark cold sewer. Eaten alive by a dark formless monster made out of black goo.

The goo swallowed Lincoln's head and everything went black. His hand twitched instinctively grabbing at the ground. Until that too was swallowed, and there was nothing left, of Lincoln Loud.

Or so it seemed...

...

School had just let out Lincoln and Clyde were leaving there class when they bumped into Chandler.

"Oh hey Stincoln." Chandler said.

"Please don't call me that." Lincoln said.

"Oh come on, I hear your sister call you that all the time." Chandler said.

"Yeah well she's family." Lincoln said. "I know she doesn't mean anything by it."

"Well I don't either." Chandler said. "We're buds."

"Hardly." Lincoln said.

"Oh come on." Chandler said. "We went to that haunted house together, then we got pizza."

"Yeah, that wasn't exactly a fairy tale ending." Lincoln said.

...

It was last October when Lincoln and Clyde were dared to go through a Haunted House by their classmate, and local bully Chandler.

Lincoln and Clyde made it through the House, but chandler and his gang ran out the "bale out, door". Lincoln Promised not to tell anyone that Chandler and the others chickened out.

After this Lincoln and Clyde treated Chandler and his friends to a Pizza dinner at Gus's Games and Grub.

The group made small talk, until Clyde accidently spilled soda on himself.

"Dangit." Clyde said.

"You need to go to the rest room?" Lincoln asked.

"Not sure that's a good idea." Chandler said. "There are a lot of people from our school here. If they see him, they might think he wet his pants."

"Oh no." Clyde said.

"Don't worry about it." Chandler said. "Just wipe yourself off with those napkins, when we leave, I'll make sure no one sees you."

"Wow thanks." Clyde said.

"No problamo." Chandler said.

"Wow, you're not that bad after all." Lincoln said.

"Lincoln." Came a familiar voice.

Lincoln turned to see Girl Jordan standing beside the table.

"I didn't know you were friends with Chandler." Girl Jordan said.

"Uh yeah." Lincoln said. "We all met at that Haunted house downtown and decided to get some pizza together."

"Oh cool." Jordan said.

"Yeah we felt kind of bad for them." Chandler said. "Stincoln Mclame here were so scared of the Haunted House they had to bail."

"Wait what?" Lincoln and Clyde both said.

"I mean look at McBride." Chandler said. "He was so scared he peed himself."

"Hey." Clyde said. "We made it through that house! You were the ones who bailed!"

"Clyde." Lincoln said.

"Oh really?" Chandler said. "Then why are you the one with wet pants."

"And Stincoln Lincoln was so scared his hair turned white." One of Chandlers friends added.

Lincoln's face turned red.

...

Back to the present day in school, just before Lincoln found himself in the sewers, face to face with the black goo.

"Oh come on, I did you a favor." Chandler said.

"You made everyone think we're wimps!" Clyde said.

"I made them feel sorry for you." Chandler said.

"You made them laugh at us." Lincoln said.

"Look." Chandler said. "I really wanted to make you guys cool. But I'm gonna be honest here, you guys don't give me a lot to work with. I mean Clyde, you're an asthmatic nerd with two dads, and a boat load of health issues. And Lincoln, you're a trailer trash nobody with hair like an old man. And you do NOT want to know about the rumors regarding you and your sisters. Trust me, the sympathy card was the best I could do."

"Just leave us alone Chandler." Lincoln said, as he and Clyde stormed off.

As Lincoln got into the parking lot, Chandler grabbed him by the shoulder.

"Hey you really think you guys can get anywhere without me?" Chandler said. "I can make you guys popular, I can make these people like you. But it's a long and complicated process."

"People liked us just fine before you tried to 'help' us." Lincoln pointed out.

"Oh did they now?" Chandler said, getting closer to Lincoln, Lincoln backed away, and tripped over his own feet. He landed on a bike, that toppled over and knocked down the other bikes parked next to it.

Chandler walked away.

As Lincoln was getting to his feet, Papa Wheelie and his crew walked by.

"Our bikes!" Papa wheelie said.

"I can explain." Lincoln said.

Papa Wheelie cracked his knuckles in a threatening gesture. "Oh I think I know what happened. You scratched our bikes, and now you're gonna die."

Lincoln ran away as fast as he could.

"And now you're caught up." Lincoln said to the audience as he ran.

...

The three other kids had split up to look for Lincoln.

It was Flat Tire who had found him first.

"There you are." Flat Tire said, shining his flashlight on Lincoln. "Hey guys I!!!!"

Something was off about the white haired boy. He was facing away from Flat tire, he was just standing there, and he seemed to be twitching.

"Are you ok?" Flat tire asked.

Lincoln's arms and legs were covered in black goo. The black goo had also slithered up the back of his head, resembling black veins, that popped out in the contrast of his white hair.

It seemed crazy, but it looked like claws were growing out of the young boy's twitching finger tips.

"Oh man dude, we gotta get you to a hospital." Flat tire said as he placed his hand on Lincoln's shoulder.

Flat Tire gasped as Lincoln turned around.

Lincoln's mouth was hanging open as black goo dripped from his lips like drool. His eyes were pure white, no pupils to be seen. The boy seemed to be in some sort of a trance. He was alive, he was breathing, and making moaning noises like a zombie. But it was as if nothing was in his head, his mind was gone.

"Oh no! Lincoln! What happened to you?"

Lincoln's jaws opened up wider and huge pointed teethe descended from his gums.

"Oh shit." Flat Tire said before Lincoln (or whatever was controlling Lincoln) leapt onto him, and began to tear him to pieces.

Papa Wheelie and Johnny Flames met up again in the sewers.

"Did you see Lincoln?" Papa Wheelie asked.

"No, and where's Flat Tire?" Johnny asked.

Then they heard a beastly roar emanating from the dark tunnels. Like nothing of this earth.

"What the hell was that?" Johnny asked.

"I have no idea." Papa wheelie said. He moved his flashlight about the sewers. He caught a glimpse of something horrifying. A face, not a human face, but that of some kind of monster. All he could make out were milky white eyes, and a smile filled with long sharp dagger-like teeth.

He only saw it for a second, he dropped his flashlight, when he picked it up again, the creature was gone.

"What did you see?" Johnny asked.

"I don't know." Papa Wheelie said. "Some kind of monster."

"A monster?"

Then they heard the roar again. Then pounding footsteps, getting closer and closer.

"Come on we gotta get out of here." Johnny said.

"What about Flat Tire and Lincoln?" Papa Wheelie asked.

"Forget them, they're already dead!"

...

As the older Loud sisters poured themselves some coffee, Lori picked up a news paper.

Lincoln took a look at the news paper.

"The Daily Bugle?" Lincoln said. "I didn't know they sold that outside of New York."

"I guess so." Lori said. "For some reason, Mom and Dad have a subscription to it."

"The dude who writes those articles is a total nut job." Luna said.

"Jay Jonah Jameson?" Lori said.

"How much do you wanna bet that's a fake name." Luna said.

"Isn't he the guy who keeps writing about that Spider-man guy?" Lincoln asked.

"Yeah, you'd think he'd write about something a bit more important than some insane weirdo who swings around dressed as a spider." Lori said.

"Well I guess crazy people just attract more crazy people." Luna said.

"I think Spider-man's kind of cool." Lincoln said.

...

Lincoln woke up in a field. He took a deep breath and got up to his feet.

"I'm alive!" He said out loud. That, thing that had attacked him, was it even real? Or was it just a dream. And how had he gotten into this field.

For some reason, a collection of names swirled around in his head.

Peter Parker, Eddie Brock, Flash Thompson, Mac Gorgon. They just kept repeating in his head, he had never heard those names before.

Just then Papa Wheelie, and Johnny Flames came running toward him.

"RRRRRRRUUUUUUUUNNNNNN!!!!!!" They yelled.

"What... what's going on?"

"No time just run!"

...

Lincoln burst into the front door panting.

"O m gosh Lincoln." Leni said, as she got up from the couch to comfort her younger brother. "Are you ok. You look terrified." Leni placed a hand on Lincoln's shoulder.

"DON'T TOUCH ME!!!!" Lincoln snapped.

Leni stepped back, shocked.

"Sorry Leni." Lincoln said. "I'm just, a little on edge."

"Is someone chasing you?" Leni asked.

"I have no idea." Lincoln said. Then he hugged Leni. He stayed there hugging his big sister for a long time. He couldn't even come close to understanding what had happened that day, if that monster was real or not. But he was just happy to be alive.

He was also REALY craving a chocolate bar.

I know what you're thinking. "But Tyler, this is just the same as Prototype of a Loud." And you're not wrong. Venom and Alex Mercer are very similar characters with similar powers. But Prototype of a Loud is a story of Armageddon, this will be a much more contained story.

Think of this story more like L8ni, but with Lincoln instead of Leni.

(The Loud House characters are owned by Nickelodeon, and Venom is owned by Marvel Comics, and Sony.)
