The days passed and Anika grew busy with every passing day after she joined her office. Mostly Shivay came early and waited for her. One thing changed between them and that is their sexual relation. Whenever he wanted her close, she kept saying that she is tired and slept. He was missing her really much and most importantly he was missing her care and concern towards him. Every morning he offered to drop her at office thinking they would get to spend time but she kept denying that because Thomas picked her up and dropped her back. He wondered that why is he so affected when he knows the pressure of her new job. But still it affected him, what affected him the most was growing friendship between Thomas and Anika. The everyday good night hug that Thomas gave to Anika after dropping her in front of their house has irked him. These all were going inside his head but still he tried behaving normal, as much normal as he could.

That day too he was waiting for her after preparing the dinner and heard the sound of a car coming to halt. Then laughing sound of Anika came.

"Pretty lady see ya tomorrow" he heard Thomas say the line

"Ohh daady go to your home now, bye" this next voice was of Anika's.

After that he heard the sound of the car going away. Anika tiptoed towards him and hugged him tight from back dropping a wet kiss over his cheek. He didn't move his eyes from the magazine he was reading. Seeing zero response from him Anika naughtily came in front and tried sitting over his lap but still he remained unaffected. Then snatching the magazine and throwing it away she successfully sat over his lap and pecked over his lips. He remained unaffected, unlike him.

"What happened mister husband? Why such a cold behaviour? Okay I know how to brighten your mood up" saying so she passed a naughty smirk and started opening the buttons of his shirt.

"Anika I am not in mood, please go get freshened up, eat and then sleep" he calmly said continuously trying to ignore their eye contact.

Anika at once stopped. She was noticing this indifferent behaviour of him from past few days but suddenly this entirely cold behaviour had her in surprise. Distancing herself from him she sat beside holding his hand.

"What is the matter Shivay?" she asked trying to make him look at her which she failed.

"Really tired Anika so can we please go and have our food?" she wasn't at all convinced but accepting his words she went inside to get freshened up while he went to serve their food.

That night they calmly ate without discussing much about their day. She tried starting conversation but every time he ended it saying they should not talk while having food. She grew suspicious, until morning he was good. Means his behaviour wasn't this much cold. She left the matter and washed the dishes after they completed having dinner. He by then went and called his family, it has become a routine for them to call the family at least thrice in the week. Last time Anika has informed them about getting a job and all of them were so happy. This time as Shivay started speaking everyone had questions regarding Anika's job.

"Okay fine just talk to her, I know I doesn't even exist" he got irritated as every new topic landed up over the discussion of Anika's new job and left from there.

"Everything is alright beta?" Pinky asked.

"Yes mom, maybe he got irritated as no one asked about his day and kept discussing mine" Anika tried convincing although knowing that it is never going to convince the family.

"Okay you both sleep now, good night" saying so daadi cut the call.

She knew that they are not convinced. This side everyone thought to give the couple sometime because no one had any heart to enter inside their matter. Shivay then returned calming himself down just to see that Anika has already cut the call. He felt bad for shouting over everyone and suggested another call to say sorry but Anika stopped him. Agreeing to her he lied down. She wrapped him close to her keeping her head over his chest but he distanced him and turned to other side. She kept looking at his figure with the hope that he will turn towards her and would pull her towards him. But nothing of that sort happened and she fell asleep.

Next morning was just like daily routine. After preparing their food Anika went to get ready and both of them went to their respective office. He didn't ask her whether to drop her that day and she didn't kiss him goodbye too. The day went as usual with one phone call to him from her side and no phone call from his side. As always Thomas dropped her and went away, Shivay soon arranged their food looking at her entering the house and asked her to get freshened up. She got freshened up and came back, he was waiting for her.

"I want to talk Shivay" she said standing near him.

"We will, at first eat" he tried shooting up a smile but failed.

"No one is eating unless we clear out what is the matter" she said, her voice much stern.

"What the hell do you want to listen?" he got up hitting the table by his hand.

"Why are you behaving such? What have I done?" she asked.

"Okay now you don't know what have you done, then listen. You have allowed Thomas into your personal space, you have allowed him to touch you and hug you. Ohhh how can I forget? You have even started calling him daady. Listen Anika if it is like you falling out of my love then it is fine, I completely get that but don't show it at least when you are still married to me. If you are seeing that Thomas and want to spend your life with him then you are free to go, and yeah where was your self respect when Thomas helped you in getting the job huh? The rule for not interfering into your professional life is only applicable to me right? And that Thomas is allowed to help you with that. Great Anika, that's great" Shivay stopped, rage was clearly evident.

Anika was at loss to say something.

"From where all these are coming Shivay? Thomas is my friend, just friend" she replied trying not to cry.

He didn't reply and kept looking at the wall.

"Shivay listen" she forcefully made him look at her and continued "when you know how much I love you, when I know that how much you love me then why are you saying all these? How can I fall out of your love? You are the only one I have loved for my entire life" she paused again.

"Then fine, it is my mistake. My insecurity is my mistake" he replied, his anger still on top.

"Yes it is your mistake, it is of course your mistake. I accept that I was in-secured too  because I thought you wanted to dominate the relation but then you made me realise that I was wrong then how come you become so in-secured suddenly? I know you can't see me with any other men and that is why I have always tried to be in limited relation with my guy friends but still you are saying these? Why Shivay? How could you?" he was feeling bad, everything was on one side but on another side it is still the truth that he can't see her crying.

He realised that he was wrong, what all he said was wrong. But still his anger didn't decrease.

"Anika please leave me alone for sometime" his voice softened.

"No, I can't. We will have to clear out everything that is making us in-secure of the other" she was determined.

"For an hour please leave me alone" he almost begged, he does not want to shout over her but if she keeps on pushing him at that point then it may slip out from his hand.

"I said we need to discuss Shivay, you cannot decide every time" her voice was triggered and her eyes were red with anger.

"Okay fine, you live with your discussion and let me live with my mental peace, at least for sometime" saying so he marched off taking his car keys.

She kept calling him from behind but he didn't bother to hear and went away. She even ran behind his car but he just vanished taking a turn. The memory of last time engulfed her, she feared his actions and prayed that he doesn't consume alcohol again. She hated his anger, still she could not bring this one emotion of him under her control. Few hours passed and then suddenly Anika's phone rang, it was Shivay's number. Composing herself she picked up the call.

"Ma'am are you Anika?" came a different voice from another side asking her this question.

"Yes who is this?" she asked, fear was engulfing her heart.

"Ma'am I am Cooper and the man to whom this phone belongs is in ICU at this moment. Please come to IY Hospital soon" he informed and Anika's world collapsed.

It seemed as if ground has slipped beneath her feet, she felt suffocated and couldn't move.

"Ma'am please come soon" she heard the man requesting her from the other side.

Composing herself she ran to Mily's house and informed them the same. Thomas soon accompanied her and they went to the hospital. Reaching there what she got to know broke her more. She heard that Shivay was driving the car really fast, breaking all the laws and was about to hit a man crossing the road when he took an unexpected turn and hit the pole. He got cut over his head and forehead and from them much blood has flown out. Then doctor came out and informed her that Shivay is better but still they are waiting for him to gain consciousness before saying anything. All their moments played in sync in front of Anika's eyes. Tears denied to stop and she continued to curse herself for not stopping at the moment when he asked. She hated herself for being insecure and then making him insecure even though unintentionally. Thomas offered her food but denying she waited, she waited for him to open his eyes.

Hours passed by, doctors said that as he has a poor heart condition the blood loss has affected his health. He said more that the situation is under control and he should gain consciousness soon but nothing happened. He remained lying closing his eyes for long long hours. She waited, she just waited to hear her name at least once from his mouth but he lied silent. Mily joined Anika and after much trials made Anika go with her to eat something. With no heart Anika ate two bites of bread and returned back.

"Ma'am he has opened his eyes" one of the doctor informed.

Without wasting any second Anika went inside the cabin, Shivay soon looked at her and his lips moved in sync to her name. She went close and sat beside.

"I am right here, beside you Shivay" she stroked his hair.

Tear tickled out of his eye getting lost in the jungle of his hair.

"Don't cry see you are alright and you will get even better much soon" she wiped away his tear and kissed his forehead.

He tried saying something but failed. She checked the monitor and saw that his heartbeat has returned to normal. Sitting beside him she kept stroking his hair. Doctor entered informing that he is doing well and after keeping him under observation for another two days, they will release him. The next two days passed soon. In those two days, Anika didn't even leave him to have food. Mily brought food for her inside the cabin. Every time tear cascaded down Anika's eyes, Shivay cried too. Love hurts, loving someone more than self really hurts.

So now we have faced the insecurities of both of them and it is probably the time to clear this. Them moving in together has really helped, well the next part will be solution to these two parts and maybe more strengthening of their relation, so stay tuned and stay safe dearies.
