Remy being adorable-Emile
TW: Emile's dad aaaaannnnndddddd that one lullaby that makes people sad
Remy called earlier saying he was coming to my house and to make sure "that son of bitch ugly ass goblin" isn't here. I think he was talking about my dad so here I am, outside of my parents bedroom, about to knock on the door. I quickly knocked and heard a grunt in response. I opened and walked in to see my dad sprawled across the king sized bed with a beer bottle in hand.
"What is it boy?"
"Remy...Remy's coming over." I started scratching my arm out of instinct and waited for his response.
"That psycho is coming to this house again? Screw him. That faggot can't come into my house and threaten me. And why should it scare me that his dad is some lowlife criminal. Bullshit. {insert more homophobic shit that makes the readers hate him more}." I started slowly stepping backwards while he went on a rant about gays going to hell and Remy specifically going to hell.
doorbell
I ran downstairs and to the door. Remy was standing there leaning against the doorframe looking at his phone. "Hey Remy."
"Hey Ems, whatcha doing?" He smiled. My pansexual brain can't take that smile.
"The usual. My dads talking about gays going to hell and how god disproves of me."
"Good thing I'm not religious than. How bout we ditch the bitch and go to Starbucks? There's one just a few blocks away."
"We're not fueling your coffee addiction." I laughed.
"Fine, how bout you go grab a coat and some snacks and I can show you something." I nodded and ran inside to grab a pastel blue sweater, my house keys, and a carton of goldfish. "You ready Emile?" Remy asked as I walked out the door. I nodded.
"Where we going?"
"Somewhere." I tried questioning him again but he just pushed me into the passenger seat of his car and got in on the driver's side. He started driving off to the outside of town.
{time skip brought by he broke up with me}
We got to the cliff over a river flowing outside of the town. Remy opened my door and grabbed my wrist. He started pulling we towards some trees.
"Remy wait! Where are we going? You better not murder me." He smirked and continued pulling me towards the forest. After a bit he let go of my wrists and started walking. I followed close behind him not wanting to get lost. "Where are we going?" I asked again.
"We're almost there. Hakuna your tatas." I sighed and continued following him. Does this count as a date? It is just us, we have food, and Remy obviously planned this. No this doesn't count as a date. Remy and I aren't dating. "We're here!" He waved his arms around. It was a opening in the trees that overlooked the river and sound mountains. Remy sat down and motioned for me to sit next to him.
He leaned his head on my shoulder as soon as I did and we sat in silence for a while. He pulled out his phone and looked at some stuff. He mumbled something before sitting up and typed something into his phone.
{time skip brought by I don't sing in the shower}
"It's almost 6:30" Remy seemed excited.
"What happens at 6:30?" I asked.
He started taking off his jacket and sunglasses. He looked at the mountains before turning my head to face them. The sky was full of colors. Some of the colors reflected on the river and everything looked so amazing.
"You ever seen the sunset?" I heard him ask. I shook my head and he chuckled. "This isn't even the best part. This is the perfect spot to look at the stars. Isaac found it before we found out we were soulmates and we would hang out here looking at the stars. Sometimes Virgil would tag along and the three of us would point out different constellations. I always loved the stars. So did Isaac, he wanted to be an astronomer." He continued talking about the stars and his childhood. I smiled and watched him. Who knew the tough and scary Remy could be so adorable.
"Hey Remy, can I ask you a question?" I asked ending his small rant.
"You just did." He laughed. "What is it?"
"What was Isaac like? I mean, I know he was your soulmate and childhood friend and he's gone now but you never really talk about him. What was he like?" Remy sighed and layed his head on my lap.
"Well...he was kind of like you. Not exactly like you but he was sweet, understanding, kept me in line, and cute. My mother loved him like he was part of our family. He always said his family was at the orphanage but he still loved us. After we found out we were soulmates we decided to try dating. Kinda stupid because we were only 9-ish at the time. Then we got into a fight...and..."
"What was your mother like?" I asked.
"Oh god Emile. There's no words in the english language to describe how amazing she was. Hold on let me text Virgil to send me some videos." He pulled out his phone and started texting Virgil. I took this time to look up at the sky now full of stars and think.
Remy doesn't really open up much. Especially about this topic. Virgil said the only time he was open about his feelings was when he was having a bad day. So why is Remy telling me all this? Why is he opening up to me?
"Emy. Here's a picture of the four of us. Virgil, father, me, and my mother." He held up his phone to show me a picture of a three year old Virgil, a man in his twenties most likely, four year old boy that is undoubtedly Remy, and a woman. They looked so happy. You can't even tell their family runs a criminal organization. "Here's a video of my mother singing. She sung this song all the time to me and Virge. He swiped and pressed play on a video. He sung along and seemed to be staring at me while I looked up at the stars and listened.
"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You make me happy when skies are gray
You'll never know dear, how much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away
The other night dear, as I lay sleeping
I dreamt I held you in my arms
And now that you're here, my dreams are waking
And I will keep you from all harm
You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You make me happy when skies are gray
You'll never know dear, how much I love you
But, please don't take my sunshine away
I'll always love you, and make you happy
I'll pick you up when you've fallen down
You turn the sky blue when it's raining
You always keep the sunshine around
You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You make me happy when skies are gray
You'll never know dear, how much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away"
I looked down at Remy and smiled. He smiled back and started sitting up. "We better hed back. I don't want anybody thinking we died." I nodded and stood up.
{time skip brought by this fucking filter looks like a gay barcode scanner}
"Mama! I'm home!" I shouted. I heard crying and ran to the livingroom. Mama was on the floor by the couch. "What happened?"
"Gone...Left us..." Dad left?
"Fuck yea!" I heard Remy's voice come from outside.
