The knife barely missed (y/n)'s face as he sidestepped to not only dodge the villain's attack but to also check on Kyouka on the others. 

"Alright... They're holding their own..." thought (y/n). 

A well-timed punch incapacitated the villain, but more took his place. 

"Come on!" taunted (y/n), "You guys can't even manage to kill a kid? Lame, man..." 

"Don't talk as if you're some big-shot hero!" shouted out one of the villains as the rushed towards him. 

A graceful dodge and a powerful kick were all that was needed to send the villain flying. 

"Geez... If someone told me that it was amateur hour, then I wouldn't have gone through the trouble of dressing up..." muttered (y/n) as he patted some dirt off of his arms and legs. 

Back with Kyouka, Yaoyorozu, and Kaminari, they were surrounded by villains that surrounded them. 

Yaoyorozu had used her Creation Quirk to create a spear for herself and a sword for Kyouka, which they both used in tandem with their Quirks to keep the villains at bay. 

"Man... (y/n)'s treating this like a game while we're over here babysitting Kaminari!" said Kyouka.

"Hey! Don't blame me for this!" yelled Kaminari, "If I use my Quirk, then I run the risk of electrocuting you guys too!" 

Suddenly, a villain crashed into the ones in front of them, revealing a smiling (y/n). 

"Is that the best you can do? Some League of Villains..." 

"(y/n)! Regroup!" yelled Yaoyorozu, "I have an idea!" 

"Hold that thought!" responded (y/n) as he began to dodge the attacks of more villains.  

He closed his eyes and focused as all the noise around him was drowned out. 

Fists and knives shot passed him as he dived deeper into Instinct. 

"The way he moves..." said Kyouka in awe, "It's like he's dancing..." 

"Damn it! What's with this kid?!" shouted one of the villains as he attacked (y/n). 

Finally, (y/n) opened his eyes and dealt with them, taking them out singlehandedly. 

When (y/n) turned to face Kyouka and the others, she noticed something different about him. 

It was his eyes. 

"(y/n)! Let's go!" shouted Yaoyorozu. 

"On it!" responded (y/n). 

(y/n) made his way over to the others, allowing Kyouka to get a better look at (y/n)'s eyes. 

Upon closer inspection, however, she saw that his eyes were still black. 

"What's the plan?" asked (y/n), turning his head to see some more villains. 

"Kaminari's on shock duty," said Kyouka. 

Yaoyorozu used her Quirk to summon an insulated blanket that surrounded (y/n) and Kyouka. 

"Oh... Smart!" said (y/n) as he patted on the t h i c c  sheet.

Kaminari used his Quirk to take down all of the nearby villains while Yaoyorozu's sheet protected them from the indiscriminate attack. 

After the sounds of bodies hitting the ground, Kyouka lifted the sheet only to see Kaminari shuffling around and muttering incoherent nonsense.

"(y-y/n)! Don't look!" shouted Kyouka. 

"What are you talking about?" asked (y/n) as he turned around, "Oh god!" 

(y/n) quickly scampered outside of the sheet. 

As it turns out, the act of creating the insulated blanket burst open a part of Yaoyorozu's hero costume, leaving her chest exposed. 

(y/n)'s embarrassment quickly vanished as he saw what was going on in the USJ's lobby.

"Kyouka... You might want to see this..." 

She lifted the blanket and stood next to him, a smile forming on her face. 

"Detroit Smash!" 

"All Might is here!" cheered Kyouka. 

"Did you say All Might?!" asked Yaoyorozu from under the sheet. 

"Yeah! He's fighting some weird bird dude, but he'll beat him!" 

"No, he won't." 

Kyouka looked at (y/n)'s worried face. 

"Look closely," said (y/n), "All Might's actually losing ground..." 

"N-No way..." muttered Kyouka, "What can we do?" 

"I'm gonna fight that thing," said (y/n). 

"Wait!" yelled Kyouka, "If All Might's not able to beat that thing... What can you hope to do?!" 

"It's not about whether or not I can do anything... It's about fighting for something other than yourself... Even if it kills you..."

"Please... Don't do this..." said Kyouka as she grabbed (y/n)'s hand. 

(y/n) pulled her in close and kissed her forehead. 

"Thanks..."

"Shigaraki. Let us end this game," said the man covered in black mist. 

"Yeah... Get one of those portals ready, Kurogiri. This'll be over soon..." 

The monstrous bird creature, Nomu, prepared one final attack against the bloodied All Might. 

"All Might!" yelled Midoryia, running to aid the Top Hero. 

"Stay back, Young Midoryia! I will handle this!" yelled All Might. 

Nomu rushed towards All Might, ready for the kill. 

"Stop it!" screamed Midoryia. 

Before any more harm could come to All Might, Nomu was pushed back with a powerful kick. 

"Enough! You'll be fighting me now!" 

"Young (y/n)! Stay back! That thing is too powerful!" yelled All Might. 

"No need to worry, All Might! I am here!" said (y/n). 

"Damn it..." muttered Shigaraki, "Can't I just kill someone without a bunch of kids getting in the way?"

Nomu, with its hulking body, swung a fist at (y/n) in an attempt to crush him. 

(y/n), with his Quirk, dodged the attack and delivered a punch of its own, but Nomu didn't budge. 

"What the hell is this thing?!" thought (y/n), "It's taking my hits like their nothing!" 

Nomu reached towards (y/n), but he caught its arm and began to lift Nomu up with his strength. 

(y/n) threw Nomu over his shoulder and into the ground, causing the earth below to give way and crack. 

A crater in the ground formed as Nomu sank into the ground, its own weight pushing it down. 

"You're next!" said a determined (y/n), pointing to Kurogiri and Shigaraki. 

Shigaraki prepared to move on (y/n), but Kurogiri extended a hand to stop him. 

"Don't count the Nomu out just yet, Shigaraki." 

An unharmed Nomu sprang up from the ground and grabbed (y/n) by the arm. 

It swung him around by the arm before slamming him down forcefully on the ground, but Nomu's assault wasn't done yet. 

It slammed him into the ground again and again with his body being fractured and broken with every slam. 

All Might tried to rush to (y/n)'s aid, but Kurogiri's portals stopped All Might from helping. 

Nomu finally stopped and threw (y/n) across the USJ like a ragdoll. 

"Young Midoryia! Watch over Young (y/n)! I'll take it from here!"

Kyouka looked at (y/n)'s bloody body in horror from the Mountain Zone. 

She was about to go down there until Yaoyorozu stopped her. 

"Please wait!" 

"I can't wait!" yelled Kyouka, "He's dying! They need help! I can't just sit by and do nothing!" 

"Of course they need help, but you'll only get in the way!" said Yaoyorozu, "The best we can do is just wait for the pros to arrive!" 

"So I'm just supposed to sit here and watch, powerlessly, as he dies?" 

"I'm sure..." muttered Yaoyorozu, "That (y/n) would rather have harmed done upon him that onto you..." 

"Even though I'm on my way to becoming a hero... I still can't save one person, can't I?" Kyouka choked out. 

 "It's just like Thirteen said. It's just as important for a hero to know when not to fight as it is to know when to fight... When the preservation of life is more important than the battle at hand..." 

"And why should my life be preserved and his be thrown away?" 

"I don't know."

"I'm so proud of you!" 

"Mom! Stop that!" laughed (y/n) as his mother kissed him on his face. 

"U.A.! Japan's most prestigious Hero School!" she said, "You've worked so hard for this!"

"That I did... I really did it... I've wanted this for so long... And now I've got it..." 

(y/n)'s mother began to cough before downing a white pill that stopped her pain. 

"I did it for you... You know that, right?" muttered (y/n), taking his mother's hand into his own, "I'll save you... I swear..." 

Tears began to well in her eyes as she looked at her son. 

"Oh... (y/n)... You look so much like your father... You're even starting to sound like him too..." 

It was (y/n)'s turn to tear up this time. 

"I know it's hard... But you have to stay strong... You are a hero after all."

"Do you really think I can do it?" (y/n) asked. 

"Of course you can... If anyone can conquer this, it's you. You are my hero after all..."

All Might gripped his ribs in pain. 

"Shit..." he thought, "I don't know how long I can hold on to my muscle form..." 

Suddenly, the ground began to shake as if a large earthquake was moving the earth. 

"What is it now..." muttered an annoyed Shigaraki. 

"Be on your guard, Shigaraki," said Kurogiri, "Another knot in our plan might make itself known." 

The sudden shaking was so powerful that the roof of the USJ began to shatter, but as soon as the shaking started, it ended. 

A silver light burst out from behind All Might as the intense shaking started again. 

"What's happening?!" shouted Midoryia as he shielded his eyes from the white pillar of light. 

As the silver light vanished and the shaking stopped, a single figure stood where the light began. 

"Impossible... Could it be?" said All Might. 

"It has to be! (y/n)!" yelled Midoryia.

(y/n) was standing there in that crater where the light came, but he was different. 

His eyes were silver and his black hair stood up slightly while steam radiated from his arms and legs. 

The red sleeveless jacket and blue sash of his hero costume was torn away and only the black pants and shirt of his outfit remained. 

(y/n)'s arms hung loosely to his sides as he looked straight down as if he didn't notice everything around him. 

He looked up at Kyouka at the Mountain Zone with silver eyes and emotionless expression. 

She looked back at him with a mixture of confusion and joy. 

Suddenly, in the blink of an eye, (y/n) attacked Nomu with a faster-than-light kick. 

The attack missed, unfortunately, but it caught the attention of everyone around him. 

"No way!" yelled Midoryia, "I didn't even see him move!" 

While still suspended in the air from launching himself at Nomu, (y/n) turned himself around and clashed a steaming fist with Nomu, sending for fighters back.

"It'll take more than an earthquake and a light show to stop us... Kill that annoyance, Nomu," said Shigaraki, running his hands through his hair and muttering to himself.

Nomu ran to attack the silver-eyed boy, but he shot past the creature faster than it could hit him. 

(y/n) looked to his hands as he clenched and unclenched his fists as if he was reveling in his newfound power. 

From Nomu's cheek came odd-colored blood. 

(y/n) had attacked Nomu during his launch forward to avoid his attack and managed to end up doing it without the creature noticing.

Before Nomu could even turn around for another attack, (y/n) had already moved within striking range of the creature using his newfound speed. 

With fists moving faster than the eye could see, (y/n) struck Nomu over and over again similar to All Might when he fought with the beast.  

Nomu tried to counterattack at the silver-eyed warrior, but he dodged every attack thrown at him effortlessly and continued his relentless assault. 

"How is this possible?!" said a furious Shigaraki, "How can this stupid kid keep up with Nomu?!" 

"(y/n)'s... Amazing!" said Midoryia in awe, "He's so fast that I can barely see him move!" 

"He's getting stronger..." said All Might as he watched the ensuing battle, "You can't see it, but the more and more he fights, the faster he dodges and the sharper his attacks get." 

"You mean he's..." 

"He is! He's adapting to the fight to the fight and getting stronger as each second passes!" said All Might, "It seems that Young (y/n) really took that Plus Ultra attitude to heart!" 

"Yeah!" cheered Midoryia, "He can win this!" 

"If this keeps up, then it'll be over!" yelled Shigaraki, "Do something, Kurogiri!" 

"Worry not, Shigaraki. Look at that steam coming off that boy. I think we can still manage to get the upper hand... 

After what seemed like thousands of individual blows, (y/n) backed off to stare down Nomu. 

The steam and heat that radiated off of his body seemed to intensify, causing small fires to break out around him. 

(y/n) rushed in for another flurry of almost unseeable attacks, but something was different this time. 

For a brief second, the silver light vanished from (y/n)'s eyes, but then quickly returned. 

Only All Might seemed to notice this. 

"Could it be? That incredible strength is expiring?" he thought. 

(y/n) seemed to notice this too, letting out a loud roar before driving his knee into Nomu's stomach. 

The force from (y/n)'s attack sent him back towards the Mountain Zone, but he instantly regained his bearings and pushed off for one final attack. 

He launched off from the Mountain Zone with blinding speed, ready to end the battle with one punch. 

His punch collided with Nomu, creating a huge shockwave and a dust cloud. 

"Did he get him?!" yelled Midoryia. 

Nomu had stopped the punch right in its track. 

The silver light in (y/n)'s eyes vanished and the hair that once stood up on ends returned to normal. 

Whatever power (y/n) had obtained seemed to vanish in the blink of an eye. 

"It seems that his heat was his downfall," said Kurogiri as Nomu delivered a devastating punch to incapacitate (y/n).

Just before Nomu could finish (y/n) off, All Might rushed to his aid. 

"Stop right there! It seems that Young (y/n) has given me enough time to catch my breath!" 

Nomu and All Might clashed with an intense ferocity, creating shockwaves that prevented anyone from getting close. 

"Damn it!" thought All Might, "I'm nearing my limit and this thing is just keeping up! If this keeps happening..." 

"Go! Beat him, All Might!" 

Even throughout the battle, All Might could hear Midoryia cheering for him. 

"That's right! I can't quit now! What kind of hero am I if I let children fight my battles?! I'll have to go even beyond 100%!" 

All Might seemed to fight with a new rigor that even kept up with the upper limits of Nomu's endurance. 

After pushing the monster back, he looked down at his clenched fist. 

"You remember these words now..." he muttered before rushing in. 

"PLUS ULTRA! DETROIT SMASH!!!" 

With one final and powerful attack, All Might sent Nomu flying out of the U.S.J. from the sheer force of his attack, rendering the League of Villians defeated. 

"It seems that even your monster couldn't stand up against me!" yelled All Might. 

Shigaraki seemed to tremble in rage. 

"Although, I must give credit where credit is due! It took me 300 blows to beat that thing, but it would've only taken me 5 strikes to defeat it in my prime!" 

"Shigaraki, it's time we leave," said Kurogiri, opening up a black portal. 

"You have been defeated, League of Villians!" 

"Don't think this is over..." said Shigaraki while backing into the portal, "I'll have your blood eventually..."

Kyouka walked into Recover Girl's office to visit (y/n), and after being cleared to see him, she sat near his recovery bed. 

(y/n) was watching the sunset over a busy Japan and sighed aloud to himself. 

"Looks like everything turned out okay, huh?" he said, turning to smile and Kyouka. 

"Yeah... Once the pros arrived, the situation was pretty much handled..." 

"Are you okay? Any bad injuries?" he asked. 

"Am I okay? Are you? You almost got yourself killed! And for what?! So you could play the hero?!" 

"I'm sorry..." he muttered. 

"I was really worried... Seeing your body on the ground like that... I thought you had died!" 

"I thought I had too..." 

"Promise me that you won't be so stupid next time!" she begged. 

"I promise..." he said, taking her hand into his own. 

Kyouka blushed at the sign of affection but after a while, they found themselves hand in hand, watching the sunset.

(y/n) slid the key into its place, unlocking the door and stepping inside, only to be greeted by a shocking sight. 

His mother was limping down the hall in pain. 

"M-Mom! Are you okay?!" 

He took her into his arms as he sat her down on the floor. 

"I-I'm fine..." she said, "But when I heard that you were injured... I had to come and see you!" 

"But you know how hard it is for you to move around, much less drive all the way to U.A.!" 

"I know!" she said worriedly, "But I don't know what came over me! When I heard that you were in trouble, I couldn't just sit here and do nothing!" 

After a lot of comforting and a lot of "I'm okay"s, he guided his mother back up to her room and stayed with her until she fell asleep.
