Alex

Leaning against my car, I ignored students as they stared at me while walking past. I had texted Dylan to let him know that I was here, so I knew he wouldn't be long.

As if on queue, he appeared across the car park. It felt as if it had been a century since the last time I had seen him. We had spent most nights on the phone, pining for this moment. I wished more than anything that I could pick him up and push him against my car and...

"Hi, Alex."

Dylan's sweet voice snapped me out of those thoughts and brought me back to the real world. I smiled at him and breathed a greeting, walking around the car to hold the door open for him. He thanked me and climbed in, allowing me to close the door behind him and jog around to my side of the car.

A couple of flashes went off but I ignored them, pulling off from the car park quickly to prevent them from getting too close to the car.

Inside the car, Dylan began to fiddle with the screen on my car, flipping through the songs on the music app for a while. He eventually settled on a song and surprised me.

"This is one of my favourite metal bands." I told him, turning the volume up.

"Good taste." Dylan commented, relaxing into the seat.

The drive to my house was short and I found myself wishing it was longer. I loved listening to Dylan sing along to some of my favourite music, being a little silly with it and enjoying himself. He even did seat bops to the music, as if he was slightly headbanging.

Pulling up to my house, there was, thankfully, no paparazzi.

"This is your house? How many people live here?" Dylan gasped, "I mean I realised you were famous when I saw an arcade game based on you but it didn't occur to me that you were this famous."

I felt strange.

I wanted so badly to just be a normal guy that Dylan was seeing, but everything about me made that difficult.

"Only I live here. The size of it is mainly for security. I've had trouble with neighbours in the past." I explained, watching Dylan's face scrunch together in confusion.

"Doesn't it get lonely?" Dylan asked, looking up to my face with confused eyes before climbing out the car and going up to the front door to look inside.

"Yeah it does." I murmured, watching the adorable boy walk into my house without a care or a look back.

Following him inside, I made sure the gates were locked at my security screen. Glancing at the cameras, I didn't see any cars parked outside, so I think we made it in without anybody seeing us. I didn't want Dylan's face plastered on every shitty tabloid gossip paper in the country and abroad.

"What's with all of the blankets?" Dylan asked, having made his way to my living room.

I had decided a date at mine would be the best idea for the time being. Until Dylan and I were more comfortable with each other, and I had actually asked him to be mine, it was easier to keep it out of the public eye.

I had prepared for our date by gathering all of Dylan's favourite foods and some retro games. I had also collected a stack of blankets to make a fort, which was something Dylan had said made him feel safe and cosy. I'd also slipped one of my hoodies into the pile in the hopes that he would wear it.

Dylan took the bait almost immediately, slipping his jacket off and pulling the baggy hoodie over his head to get cosy inside of it. It suited him.

"This is the best surprise date. Albeit, the only one I've ever experienced, but I imagine it would still be the top one even if there were others."

He was so goofy.

He sat down on my living room floor, picking through the stack of games I had placed in here and commenting on each one as he flicked through. He looked content, but I couldn't help ruining that.

I crouched down in front of him, tilting his chin up with my finger so that he was looking up at me. His lips fell apart in a slight gasp and his messy hair fell out of his eyes as he looked up at me. His eyes were swirling and I loved looking into them.

"I'm going to go change into something more comfortable and you can tell me just how pragmatically good I look, okay?" I whispered the words with a teasing smile on my lips.

Backing off, I left Dylan as a flustered mess on the floor.

It felt mean, but he had been the one to flirt with me last night, so it was payback. Besides, I'd rather he say those things to my face than about some film I'm in. I was changed in a flash, wearing jogging bottoms and no shirt (as promised).

Pacing down the stairs, I found Dylan still in the same place I had left him, frozen still but staring at my chest. The way he gazed at me made me feel near animalistic but I took a couple of deep breaths to control myself. He bit his lip as he stared and it sent me absolutely feral inside.

Taking a few steps towards him, I offered him a hand to help him off of the floor. He took it and I pulled him up. He lost his footing and fell inside my chest but I caught him. He froze in place, pressed against me.

"Can I hug you Dylan?" I whispered in his ear, my nose brushing against his skin.

He nodded and I wrapped my arms around his small frame, pulling him closer and flat against me. It took a moment, but eventually his arms made their way around me, also. Dylan was always fidgeting and playing with something, so it was no surprise when he began to trace his fingers along my back during our embrace, his fingers dancing to some inaudible melody.

"So what's the verdict? Better in real life?" My voice was husky in his ear.

"You're missing the blood on your abs." Dylan's reply was frank, which made me burst into laughter and pull away slightly to look at his face.

"You like the blood, huh? Kinky." I teased, enjoying the way he blushed and hid his face in my chest.

It felt so good to just hold him after a week of missing him.

His twitchy hands danced across my chest, tracing each muscle with the tip of his finger. He then traced the edge of my waistband and I cursed, stepping away from him with a slight blush of my own.

"Careful, Dylan." I cleared my throat, flustered.

He must have realised what he did because his lip dropped open in surprise. Smiling down at him, I pulled away and reached for the stack of blankets. I didn't want to push him too far and overwhelm him.

"Ready to start building this fort, then?"

He nodded, keenly, and took a blanket. He got stuck in to building our blanket fort, using my chandelier to suspend a blanket and then using that to make a circus tent style design that draped in a triangular shape. I lined the floor of the tent with sofa cushions and Dylan layered blankets on top to make it cosier. He then attached a blanket to the television and included that into our den.

"I've never played a retro game on a sixty inch flatscreen before." Dylan laughed, crawling inside with an armful of snacks.

I collapsed onto our makeshift bed of pillows and spread myself out, relaxing with my arms behind my head. Dylan hesitated at the edge, staring at me once again. I liked the way he looked at me with a mix of curiosity and hunger. I liked it a bit too much.

Just as his hand made a twitch to move, my phone ringing cut through the silence. I cursed, fishing it out of my pocket and apologising to Dylan for having to answer it. It was Jake.

"Alex, where the fuck are you?" Came Jake's annoyed voice through the receiver.

"Why do you need to know?" I bit back, annoyed I had been interrupted for this.

"Michael says you missed your training session this morning." Jake accused.

"Snitch." I groaned, "I had more important things to do."

"Well he's agreed to do an evening session instead so you make sure you get your ass to that gym on time. Four o'clock and no later, no excuses."

Jake hung up on me before I could argue with him over it. I had no plans on going, however.

"Sorry about that; don't mind Jake." I chucked the phone aside.

Dylan was quiet for a moment, looking down at his hands while deep in thought. I waited patiently for whatever he was thinking about.

"Let's go to your gym session together. You don't want to go because you want to see me but you have to because of your job, so I'll just go with you."

I scanned his face, trying to tell whether he was being serious or not. He seemed totally genuine.

"You want to come with me to my gym session?" I asked, amused.

"Well, if it's a solution, then yes."

I smiled at him, shaking my head. He was a strange guy in all the best ways. It was a solution and one I was happy to oblige by. I could tell he genuinely thought it was the best solution to the problem and that was endearing.

"You just want to see me sweaty and shirtless." I teased him, making him blush.

"No!" He protested, trying to explain himself and his rationale.

I patted the spot beside me and made a little more room for him to come and sit next to me. He hesitated but then made a move to shift in my direction. I opened my arms and pulled him so that he was laying on my chest with my arms wrapped around him.

"Are you comfortable with this?" I whispered in his ear, staying very still so he could adjust to the sensations.

He nodded and buried his face in my chest, his arms wrapping around me. I squeezed him close and he made a small sound.

"What was that?" I asked, amused.

"Kai calls them my happy sounds." Dylan looked up at me, his wide eyes beautiful with the twinkles of the television lights in the dark fort.

It was then that I felt it. Two little squeezes on the hand.

My heart stopped beating in an instant. My breath was hitched in my throat and I could feel every part of Dylan pressed up against me in this little blanket fort.

I let my shaky hand raise to his jaw, tilting it up so I could reach his lips. His eyes were frantic, darting between my eyes and my lips. I leaned in, giving his own small hand two little squeezes before I pushed my lips onto his.

His lips were soft and plump and it felt like pure ecstasy when mine touched them. He tasted like pure honey and I knew that I could spend the rest of today doing nothing but kissing him. It was, however, our first kiss so I made sure to keep it brief.

He was tense, which worried me.

"Are you okay?" I whispered, my voice deep with desire.

Silence fell over us and I became increasingly worried that I had done the wrong thing and scared him. Dylan took me by surprise, however, when he gave my hand another two little squeezes. A smile burst out over my mouth and I flipped us, so that Dylan was underneath me and I was in a half push up trying to not crush him with my weight.

I brushed his hair out of his eyes and cupped his cheek, squeezing his hand back and pressing my lips to his once again. I was in absolute heaven and may have become carried away, parting his soft lips with my tongue and exploring his sweet mouth.

As he fidgeted under me, I shifted my hips into his instinctively to hold him in place. A moan slipped out of his innocent mouth, vibrating through my mouth as I kissed him, which drove me insane. If it was anyone else, I would have never stopped, but it was Dylan, so I pulled back and climbed off of him.

I sat back, resting on my knees and looked over him. He was dishevelled from our kiss, my hoodie riding up to reveal soft, honey coloured skin. Everything about him was sweet. My tongue wanted so badly to explore that nape of skin that was exposed, but I shook my head of those thoughts.

"Let's play a game before I lose myself." I cleared my throat, reaching for a controller.

"What does that mean?" Dylan asked, confusion across his face.

I smiled to myself.
