Levi woke up like he would any other day. His soft, black sheets beneath him as he stared at the ceiling. The thoughts in his mind and the compulsion in his heart were too much to ignore.

They consumed him.

Levi didn't know how or why he felt the way he did. Why he was suddenly changing. He didn't understand. It was like any other day, so why now? Why on this particular day, hour, second, was he feeling different?

He didn't like it.

Levi slowly moved his right hand and covered his eyes with it. He closed his eyes beneath his hand and focused on his heart beat, his breath, the air conditioner in his room, anything that could distract him. Levi tried for what seemed like hours but when he couldn't do anything about it, he started to get frustrated.

It wasn't normal.

It wasn't Levi.

"L-Levi! For you to call us out on a weekend..I thought you said you didn't want to see me anymore than you had to this is craz-"

"Hanji can you please just shut up and sit down. I know it's irrational of me to do this but I needed an excuse to get out of the house." Hanji put her elbows on the table from the inside of Shiganshina's most popular mall. Erwin was sitting beside Levi, which was across from Hanji.

"So what's up? You wouldn't just call us to hang out, so what's going on?" Levi sat his hands on the table and sighed while looking up.

"I..it has occurred to me that normally I don't feel anything. No emotions. No feelings. No nothing."

"I feel a but coming on." Hanji added.

"But, since yesterday, I just..I felt something else. A want. A need. There's something there." Levi slowly put his hand to his chest.

"Honey that's your heart and I guarantee no matter what you think's in there I promise you you have feelings. You've had a tough life Levi, it's sealed those things away. Maybe you seen something that triggered those feelings."

Levi furrowed his eyebrows and tried to remember anything out of the ordinary that happened yesterday. All he could remember was another boring day at school.

"Nothing." Levi crossed his arms and Hanji sighed and put her head into her hands.

"Well we aren't going to sit here moping around let's go." Erwin turned to stand up when a person rushed into him, spilling their drink all of him.

"Oh gosh I'm sorry! I was just walking and I didn't see where I was going." Levi looked up to the taunting voice he recognized.

Eren Jaeger, but that wasn't nearly as eye catching as the person that was with him.

It was that girl. The one from the library. Why was she with him?

Why did Levi care?

"Oh! You're Erwin Smith, Hanji Zoe, and Levi Ackerman!" Levi frowned when Eren perfectly recited their names.

"You know us?" Hanji asked curiously.

"Oh sure! I just transferred." He smiled.

"Oh! This is my new friend, her name is (Y/N) (L/N). She just transferred too." (Y/N) bowed and Hanji slowly walked right up to her.

"You are absolutely beautiful! Um do you mind if I run some tests on you? I would love to see what your DNA has to show." (Y/N) smiled awkwardly and simply nodded. Erwin shook his head and said,

"I wouldn't do that if I were you. She'll never let you go if you agree." (Y/N) giggled and took a quick glance at Levi, only to see him staring straight at her.

"I'm sorry about your shirt though, here's twenty dollars, get yourself a new shirt. C'mon (Y/N)." (Y/N) bowed one last time before following Eren.

Erwin took a few napkins to wipe himself off.

"So tell me why you were staring at that (Y/N)? You like her?" Levi scoffed.

"Right."

Hanji didn't say a word and instead sat there, simply starring at Levi. Levi noticed her gaze and glared at her.

"What."

"Have you ever met her before?" Hanji leaned in, awaiting his answer.

"What is this, some kind of interrogation? So what if I have?"

Erwin and Hanji looked at each other, and then without warning grabbed Levi, one on each arm.

"We're following them."

"What?! Why?" Levi contested as they started walking in the direction Eren and (Y/N) was going, starting a hunt they weren't sure what the end would consist of.
